My guess is the Stout will replace both the Taco and the Tunda combined, in sales. Traditional pickup drivers from decades ago didn't demand all the upgrades that turned the pickup trucks into a luxury ride that jacked up the price. However, they delt with it as long as they could get the big powerful engines for towing and a bed for hauling, now the Tundra slipped out of the categories it was designed for. It's basically a worthless truck now, and for 70k plus, just buy from somebody else with the bigger more powerful engine.
Well homie as you know, the latest consumer report on the TINyota Tacoma shows the fourth gen is following suite with the Tundra as well; the #’s don’t lie and people not purchasing the latest and greatest Tacoma don’t lie as well…..😳
Unfortunately most vehicles will be turbo charged moving forward due to emissions. Yeah do you think ram wanted to convert to turbo. Some of these 3rd generation tundras have 100k miles no issues. No vehicle is perfect anyone lmk if you find one. Prices still out of control tho.
Tundra sales peaked in 2007. With current pricing and no more V/8 engine option They won't be setting records anytime soon. The engine issues with the newer V/6 twin turbos is probably not helping much either. Even with all that the current Tundra figures for the year are far better than the Tacoma sales. Last I looked Tacoma sales at -55% for the first 1/4 of 2024
I've never liked the 3rd gen Tundra, but I still think it is a good 1/2 ton truck only if (1) the price is right (at least 15k off MSRP), (2) you only intend to keep it until the truck reaches 60k miles (I bet you do not want to foot $32k+ for engine replacement, right?); or (3) you lease the truck and the lease terms are so low that you cannot resist leasing it. Otherwise, if you want a long-term truck, you need to buy a 2nd gen Tundra.
I thought all 1794s were power max, so I did learn useless information ☺️ they still haven't grown on me... Definitely would not buy a new Toyota without serious upgraded warranty. Personally I like the looks of the new Colorado and 1500 Trail Boss.
Yeah Toyota always confuses me with so many different trims and packages lol the Chevy is a good looking truck they would definitely be my pick if I didn’t like Tacos 🌮 so much lol
Other brands like Honda, still have naturally aspirated engines, and if you look at their sales, they are way up, and Toyota's are way down. Americans want the bigger V8, Toyota was stupid to replace it. The Tundra gets ((WORSE)) gas milage while towing with the turbo charged smaller engine, lol. Why would you buy a Tundra that can't tow or haul without killing the tiny engine? Not to mention, they raised the price, lol.
It’s simple math, Lil Kenny because with rates around 8% and prices over 70,000 you’re looking about a $1500 payment at 60 months no idiot in their right mind wants to spend that kind of money even if they took off 10 grand you’re still over 1000 a month for 72 monthscomes down to simple you can’t get enough off to get a $400 payment or $500 payment on lease two
