Hey Chaps! Are you Team Apple🍎or Team Samsung✨ ...or neither? UPDATE: We now have iPhone 16 Pro's - with the Battery, Camera Control button & Apple Intelligence. being the main upgrades
Just one correction, Samsung announced the Galaxy Gear smartwatch in 2013 and the Apple watch was released in 2015. So no, Apple didn't do the smartwatch first, Samsung did.
Maybe you forgot or don't know but Apple had this little product called the iPod Nano. Wrist bands started being made for it and ppl started using it as a watch. Even though it wasn't made for that Apple started making watch faces for it. So that's how that started. So, when rumors started circulating that Apple was working on an actual watch guess what? Samsung started rushing to make their own to beat Apple which they did. But, it was poorly designed and resembled the square design of the iPod Nano. A yr later or so the Apple Watch was released which was much better cause Apple was working on it longer not rushing to be first. Just like a lot of their other products /designs companies rush with their half baked products to beat Apple to claim they were first, they re so innovative and Apple is following /copying them which wasn't the case.
For me one of your negatives for the Samsung ecosystem is actually a positive, the lack of Samsung versions of Facetime and iMessage. Relying on the Google defaults for these makes it easier to communicate to other Android users who haven't bought into Samsung.
Yeah I agree. I know Google DUO (similar to apple facetime) which I think now is just google meet was capable of like 10x more people in the video chat, was built into the stock dialers of most android phones and like you said, it works outside of samsung also.
I also consider the Apple lock-in services as a significant negative of the ecosystem. Sure there's an element of lock-in going on with Google, but you have far more options with a few quite different manufacturers. Yes Google services are also available on iOS to some degree, but you know Apple would prefer it wasn't and intergration isn't as good as a result. You'll just end up using the Apple equivalent and get locked in.
Sure, but @The Tech Chap still didn't mention Samsung fridge, robot vacuum, oven, fridge, laundry machine, etc. -- the REAL ecosystem you can control and adjust workflows. For example scheduling to run the laundry machine while at work during non-quiet hours, or heating up potatoes prepared in the oven when getting back fromwork, etc. Apple is just a jail cell. No, it's not a walled garden either, that's why people call it jailbreaking.
You also forgot the fact that Samsung has the expertise in construction, therefore they were contracted to build the tallest building in the world, The Burj Khalifa. Oh and Samsung also builts ships
I'm a samsung person, for the following reasons. 1. Value for money. 2. DEX 3. Flexibility of software/ os 4. Customising my phone. 5. If Samsung changes direction or I fancy a change, I have other options in android eco system.
Apple Eco system does everything better than Samsung's Eco System, and iphone is now customisable thx to ios 18, and the DEX thing, yeah we got that in ios 18, watch the apple event, and the prices for z flip phones and s24 ultras are just as insane🤣
@@source1982 smart lock would go band for band and further than whatever apple offers for customization. Dex is better than whatever apple got but yeah apple is a lot smoother especially laptops samsung is horrible i phone 15 is more expensive than s24
@@source1982 When he mentioned 'customizable', I don't think he was referring to the ability to move apps around on the home screen. Android's customization is infinitely wider than Apple's. You can reskin android to look identical to iOS if you wanted by installing a single app on the app store.
@@source1982 Iphones doesnt have something simple as a NUMBER ROW on the keyboard! You need to click on the arrow 😂 Or something simple as pausing a video during recording a video.. But I did give it a try for almost 1,5month and even bought a Apple watch to make it complete.. But I couldnt stand it anymore.. it was like im getting back in time (tech wise) the phone looks stunning but the tech is realy dissapointing. I sold everything after 1,5month of using it. Back with my S24 Ultra and knowing im never doing this again😂
I love that with Samsung, you can mirror your phone to your Samsung TV and be able to control the aspect ratio. For instance, I was working out through Samsung Health, and watching the Olympics, in split screen mode. I could control the workouts with my watch, and follow the guides plus watch my vitals from the TV, and still control the TV with my phone as the remote!
@@justronny20 i have a Hisense TV and it works perfectly. Dex works and normal mirroring works too. I can change aspect ratio and even shut off the screen of my phone
The title is a little bit misleading. The ecosystem is so much more than just having more options or having a first party messenger or video call app though: It's about the interconnectivity and ease of use across all devices in the ecosystem. This video is more about who has a better range of hardware and software
@zerma6 but that is what the ecosystem is as well. It's not just about the products themselves, but how they interact with each other and the services and software components involved. Like the ability to copy text on an iPhone and then paste them on any of the other Apple devices or the ability to start/work on a tab on safari on your iPad and be able to co ti ue seamlessly on the tab on your MacBook. That's what an ecosystem is. The apple pays too. The seamless sharing of wireless sound between devices. With Samsung, the ability to connect your whole house's devices(Samsung smart appliances) from just that app on your phone. The wifi, the vacuums, the ovens, the lights etc.
In your case clear Samsung advantage as I can live without any Apple gadget, but hard without S-pen, T7 SSD, 4K monitor, TV, aircon, smartTag2 ... all connected (real life test, not iTest ;)
@@Das644 Don't forget things like unlocking your MacBook with your Apple Watch or using your Apple Watch to accept and unlock security settings. Those are absolute game changers for me. Also, it is easy to share all this with your family members. All my family members can effortlessly access my apps, photos, locations, AirTags, movies, etc.
I came from apple, switched to samsung, AND I LOVE HOW MUCH MORE CUSTOMIZATION THERE IS! It feels like I actually own my devices because how much more I can do.
@@SkyserAspili I've literally had 3 android phones. Sure you can also costumize themes, jailbreak etc but this shit is so 2015. Nobody does that anymore. I've done all that. All it did is kill my battery and made my phone hotter, especially live wallpapers
@@i.d.6492 Talk to us when you can download a mp3 ringtone online and set it for ringtone or alarm, something so simple and apple dont let you do it 🤣🤣 Zedge dont even work for christ sake.
I also believe the country you live in significantly influences your choice of products. For instance, in South Korea, many people prefer Samsung devices due to their integration with applications and services that are uniquely available or eaiser to use in Korea. But they are slowly being avaiable in apple devices as well.
I agree with you. Here in germany many people use Android espacially Samsung but no one would by all household devices by Samsung. You will more likely see Bosch, Siemens, Miele, Liebherr or Bora in kitchens and only a few Lg or Samsung washing mashines or refirgerators.
Imagine samsung and apple collaboration to make the phone to rule them all I present to you... The Sample 😂😂😂 Edit : thanks for the +1k likes, never had so many likes on a comment before 😁
SAMSUNG is the winner! (Coming from Apple fanboy since 2007) I was in South Korea, and I was floored by EVERYTHING that SAMSUNG can offer, from refrigerator, TV, washer/dryer, phone, tablet, smartwatch, projector, camera, etc........... (they are connected to each other via NFC, BLUETOOTH & WIFI)
But i hate samsung for one thing. The chip difference between snapdragon and eunox or whatever this nonsense chip was. I dont understand why samsung couldnt put a snapdragon for the asian phones and needed to add some bullshit chip that heat up more making it deteriorate faster. Samsung shouldve just standardized snapdragon. This was one of the biggest gripe i have with samsung. Absolute joke. Mind you asian countries are paying more if not similar amounts of money for a worse phone. I am not a huge apple guy but atleast they have standardized the entire phone line up with the parts.
@bharat-dz9wi It changes with the s25 ultra, it launches globally with Snapdragon. Personally, I'm tired of that chip, it's performance is great but it gets way too hot.
High level, Samsung's is bigger, Apple's is more cohesive/intertwined because of software. You can have an entirely Samsung life/home though: every kitchen appliance, home tv & speakers, phones, laptops, watch, etc especially with a cheaper barrier of entry
Wrong. High level Samsung is tiny compared to Apple. They both do about the same number of phone units yearly. The problem for Samsung is 90% of their sales are low end or midrange products. Only about 10% of their sales are high-end. Apple sells about 90% of their phones in the high-end and dominates other categories like tablets, computers (most profit), watches, earphones, services. Here are the numbers just reported last week on the Apr-Jun quarter that illustrates how far behind Samsung is: Samsung revenue 19.4 billion ------ Samsung profit 1.6 billion Apple revenue 53.4 billion -------- Apple profit 13.4 billion It's been that way for 10 years, Samsung is hopelessly behind and not catching up. Just look at their market value (market cap). Apple is worth 3.27 trillion and Samsung is worth 351 billion.
@@BillyPhilipRwoththose are smart fridges and microwaves. I think the Samsung ecosystem hardware wise is vast, really really vast. Your whole house vast, but software wise apple takes it
There will never be a time when Apple users appreciate Samsung or Samsung users appreciate Apple. It's like PlayStation vs XBox or one football team vs another. It ain't gonna happen. But it's vital that opposites exist, as it promotes healthy competition. And who cares if one 'copies' the other? It just means the consumer gets the best of both worlds. I just wish people weren't so childish and abusive in defending their choice.
agreed. there’s been so many times on instagram or YT short where i see someone talk about new iOS 18 features and all the comments are “samsung did this 1000 years ago”. like bro, i just want to read the comments for people’s opinion.
I do appreciate both a lot. each one has its strengths weaknesses. I actually suggest to not have an ecosystem 😂 Let your tablet and phone being from different brands. I think the best way to go. That way you can get the ear buds you want. Though I suggest your ear buds to be the same brand as your phone not tablet.
Makes a 20 minute video to compare both ecosystems and end up with saying the better one depends on which ecosystem you're already invested in and you prefer 😂😂😂
Well he told you plus with each one tho. They are pretty simular, apple more optimized, no lags. Samsung more products. Comes down to what you prefer tbf
For Apple users, Apple ecosystem is the only option. But for Samsung, the choice is limitless. You don't have to choose only the Samsung/Galaxy ecosystem. Also, Samsung did watches first. Typical Apple marketing "innovation" lies i guess.
Having gone from the apple ecosystem in every way 18 months ago, I now have a tab s9 ultra, z fold 6, watch 6 classic and a lenovo think pad, becuase windows is far better than mac. And it all talks to each other and I've never been happier.
Agree 😊 and whilst the App Store is limiting, the safety of having apps in walled spaces means (imho as a security researcher) apple is by far more secure
Yeah Apple’s system does lock you in and is restrictive but the synergy their product have always had is incredible and the more Apple devices you have the better it gets 🤣
Even that lock in have advantages. If the modifications required a change on the CPU design, on the OS and even a new phone hardware, they can decide everythig in house, meanwhile Samsung need to beg for Snaodragon and Goggle to coperate with them.. just check the Snapdragon X Elite, required 4 years just to copy the chip and release it, when they are releasing multiple chips in each year, but because it's a cooperation between multiple different companies, it was way longer like it should be if it's all made by just one company.
@@TamasKiss-yk4st Samsung isn't Android though and although a Apple vs Samsung comparison makes more sense it actually is Apple vs Android cuz every Android Product works pretty much meaningless with each other (*and Windows too).. I've been following your channel for a while, and your reviews are super helpful for someone like me who’s still rocking a 5-year-old Android device! It’s getting harder to keep up with new apps and updates on my current setup, so a giveaway like this would be a game-changer. Thanks for all you do for the tech community!
Yeah, I was once an isheep. But the deeper you get into the Apple ecosystem, the worse it gets. Eventually, the difficiencies become annoying enough. Especially Siri and the horrible Homekit. I'd had enough, left, and love using Samsung Fold 6 with the Watch 7 Ultra, Bose Ultra headphones, and UA-cam music. A Lenovo laptop, pixel tablet, and GoogleTV. Variety is always better 😊
I have a iPhone 15, airpods and a Samsung tablet. Next purchase is a laptop neither I don't think will be apple or Samsung 😂 leaning towards Asus or lenovo... I agree variety is good 👍
@cooltatts ----- Siri 2.0 is about to come out and will put anything on Android to shame. It runs largely on device and is wicked fast in responding. HomeKit Apple has now partnered with Amazon and Google for interoperability of devices. Thanks for sharing the old news though.
@@bruxi78230 (Not sorry) To burst your bubble, Google Gemini has been available on every modern android phone/tablet since early 2024. It's already able to do everything Siri 2.0 will be able to do and is able to do way more than the new Siri will be able to do. Siri 2.0 will just be Apple's subpar version of Gemini and won't be nearly as intelligent or capable as Gemini. Gemini is built upon 25 years of Google's own search engine so it is much more advanced in terms of being able to respond to general and complex questions people ask it. Apple on the otherhand doesn't even have a search engine so it won't be useful in scouring the entire internet to answer those general or complex questions people ask it like how Gemini can. Siri will only be useful in helping people with get things done within the stock/default apps on the iPhone. Siri 2.0 being able to do that is definitely useful but as I said, it won't be nearly as intelligent or capable as Gemini is. Of course though since iPhone users live in a vacuum, most of them have no idea Gemini exists. Then Apple will market the crap out of the updated Siri and iPhone users will be praising Apple for the "innovation" of their AI assistant.
Wait, what. "Apple makes a smart watch, samsung comes out with galaxy watch".....just ignoring that samsumg had a smart watch offering like 2 years before any apple watch?!
U oughta make an amendment or a statement for clarification. Apple lags behind and never gets flak for it, and here u are giving them credit for smartwatch.
But let’s be real Samsung watches are horrible. It just started getting better ditching tizen and using wear OS, but still no where close to Apple Watch
Here is my take on the ecosystems. They both work great and can do what you need. But neither one is perfect. I have used both and maybe not all the features, but most people don't have the latest and greatest devices from either ecosystem. Most people upgrade their phones regularly, but laptops, tablets are less frequent unless you are just super rich. I have had an iPad, iMac and iphone all within 5 feet of each other and about 10 ft away from my router and all logged in under the same user, and iMessage on the iphone coming through were not syncing up to the pad or iMac. or it would be super delayed. Mainly due to the age differences. I have seen the same thing with my work Samsung tablet attempting to sync with my personal S24ultra. It worked, just delayed. But syncing with my windows 11 Laptop? super fast. When they work, they work great. You are going to be happy with whichever one you choose. But neither one is better than the other to force you to switch because of 1 or 2 features. It is everyone's choice to switch if they want, but don't feel like you have to because someone says this one is better. It is all a personal preference
Google meets sucks compared to face tune it feels super finicky and feels like some cheap bootleg app while FaceTime is fully integrated with IOS software and is like butter on bread using it
I have a Fold 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Apple Airpods, a Samsung TV and a Macbook air. No issues whatsoever with crossing 'ecosystems'. Just get the version of each item that you like, regardless of what phone you have.
I have all Macbook air, airpods, watch ultra, phone 15PM ipad mini 6 At the point where the mini 6 doesn’t get used and feeling very bored with 15PM as I feel the fold is very interesting………hesitant to jump to android due to the learning curve as been on iphone since 3gs ……..how did you find the jump from iphone ?
@@BckSD1974Just my opinion. I had Samaung S23 Ultra (Used iPhone 13 Pro before that, Z Fold 3 before iPhone) and then switched to Z Fold 5 because Samsung offered a good trade-in option. First 2 weeks I liked it but after a few months using Z Fold 5 my thoughts changed. While the bigger screen is cool, it just didn’t work for games like I wanted because of the aspect ratio. Also, if you watch videos in their native aspect ratio, it’s almost the same size as I had on S23 Ultra OR clipped sides on full screen. Over time, I used internal Fold screen maybe once or twice a day which kinda defeats the purpose. Honestly, S23 Ultra was better (screens, camera, battery) and as I already had it and S24 Ultra hadn’t come out yet, I quickly switched back to iPhone 15 Pro Max. No regrets since and I honestly don’t miss the Fold. TLDR, if you’re curious, I suggest buying used for cheap (they lose 50% value in first year) and just try whether you like it and use as Samaung intended.
@@BckSD1974 Samsung phones do have a lot of features and even has a lifelong android user, when i got my first Samsung phone last year, I was overwhelmed and still am to this day by the number of features and customizations.
the main thing differentiating them is the prices. You can get a full samsung ecosystem on a budget (maybe a phone from A series, an FE tablet, galaxy fit instead of the watch, FE buds...) and that's the selling point for me. You don't have to drop thousands of dollars for a great experience. I'm from Poland, we get crazy big prices for electronics and all in all, apple is for the rich. It was a dream of mine for 10 years to get an apple device. As for apps for tablets, samsung had the better ones [IPAD STILL HAS NO INSTAGRAM APP OPTIMISATION], writing in languages other than main ones is a PAIN on an ipad, no support whatsoever. Im sticking to my samsung stuff, in the future switching from an ipad to a galaxy tab as I cannot see myself switching from an s23 to an iphone. Transfering files is a pain already, I would really like if the brands made something to make it easier to just use the best devices from all brands and not need a third party to function
Apple is not for rich at all. That's the weird midnest about apple yall have foreigners. Here in US even homeless people have iPhones. Samsung eco system is just as expensive. Samsung just have more options where you can buy even cheaper phones. But if you want top of the line it'll cost you just as much as Apple
@@i.d.6492 When the cheapest phone you offer is 500 bucks (with a 10 year old design), it's definitely not 'entry level pricing'. Remember the $1000 Mac wheels? Apple's always been for people with more money than brains...
These android tab app optimisation is just a not so true argument. I tried Instagram on iPad , Grab on iPad, many other apps on iPad. Most of them have very large black bars around it and the app basically just shows a mobile screen inside an iPad screen. It does not goes to full screen. On the other hand we get perfectly scaled apps on android. So what do you mean by app optimisation on iPad.
Weird works fine in mine. I think for the vast majority of apps they simply are optimised better on the iPad . Developers have long said that there’s more money to be made from the App Store so they prioritize it, and release apps there first. It’s weird to argue against this fact. As it’s the one clear criticism that almost finished the Google tablet market for a long time. …
This is not the entire Samsung ecosystem. Samsung not only have phones, watches, laptops, earbuds, tabs and rings in their lineup. They got a goddamn fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and many more to type here. Thats what you call an ecosystem. Use all Samsung product and connect them all together. Only then you will truly understand the meaning of ecosystem.
Great video. I'm all in on Samsung with a Galaxy phone, tablet, laptop and earbuds that I've steadily acquired over the past couple of years. I love all the continuity features that rival Apple. As an android fan it makes sense to build around my phone as phones are the most personal devices people tend to carry. I also love that the Galaxy books have a touchscreen (as well as other windows devices). Apple refuses to put touchscreens on their Macs, which I feel handicaps their overall functionality, even if most people claim a touchscreen on a laptop/desktop is not necessary. I still really like the feature.
Honestly a touchscreen on a laptop is kinda simular to an iPad with a keyboard, if you have both i dont se a reason to have a touchscreen on a laptop, maybe it is nice to have, but im just saying its not necessary.
Phone: Galaxy S24 wins Tablet: iPad Pro wins Watch: Apple Watch wins (shameless copy by Samsung) Audio: AirPods Pro wins (shameless copy by Samsung) Computing: MacBook Pro wins (by a mile) AI: Galaxy AI/Gemini wins (Apple AI is trash) Apple Ecosystem is still better. Samsung has a much larger range of products though.
Unfortunately, because Samsung does not sell its laptops in many regions (e.g Australia, Southeast Asia), the Samsung ecosystem is incomplete in many parts of the world, unless you know how to sideload their software services on windows...
When comparing ecosystem i think we should focus more on the region you live in, for example in china Xiaomi and Huawei is king cus Chinese love smart gadgets and interconnectivity and now even those 2 brands make cars and all other gadgets you could possibly use. Where i stay people actually prefer an open platform that supports third party apps and flexibility as well as media sharing apps like Xender and x share, they are very famous its a must have even as an iphone user in china WeChat is a must have for them and in that region it beats anything apple or Samsung has to offer thats why the only market for iphone and Samsung are america and the uk and some EU countries.i think the region plays a key role in that tech chap please remember to include that in your next comparism
Yep excellent point! I can only really speak to UK/EU/US side of things. I did mention Huawei briefly as you're right, they're ecosystem in China is unmatched!

Better variety for all price ranges and dex mode that trurly can be considered as laptop replacement. I owned both devices and I would buy an iPad ony for Apple ecosystem. Vast majority of users would be better of with Samsung Tablet. Without a doubt.
Yes! I have all Apple products except for the ipad pro/air/mini. Why? Because Samsung offers way better value for their prices! Yes it would be nice to have an ipad pro but I also know that having an Samsung tab ultra is way better to own regardless if it does or doesnt work with the Apple ecosystem.

HMMMMMM, some bias incoming?! Let's continue watching... Samsung copies Apple naming their watch "ULTRA" Meanwhile Samsung calls their TOP smartphone = ULTRA for YEARS now, but YEAH Samsung copied apple. Isn't apple copying Samsung, shouldn't they call their watch "Apple watch Pro Max"? Samsung copied the Apple watch in design, meanwhile YEARS ago "Samsung Gear Sport" has the SAME Design as the SAMSUNG watch ultra! The only things that they did copy from Apple watch are 1) NO wireless charging, 2)the design of the band
Everything apple is overpriced and overrated.Having used both ecosystems, I can say that Samsung is more practical, easier to use, more affordable, and you definitely get more bang for your bucks.
As far as a price comparison. On Amazon Prime day in July, I just bought an S24, 256 GB version for $659 and a tab S9, 256 GB version for $619. I would have to spend a lot more for an equivalent on the apple side. Oh, and I typed some of this with my numbers row on the keyboard which iPhone still doesn't have, lol.
Trying to communicate quickly or organize files on ios is a nightmare. I use apple silicon computers for music production and own iPads for specific apps but they're terrible to use. S24 + Garmin Epix Pro 2 for me.
Just so long as Apple realizes almost every Samsung Watch Ultra sold is because they don't allow Apple watch Ultra to work on Samsung. Kind of hard to accuse someone of copying you because you wont allow across platform. Missed opportunity for Apple to have Samsung people use their product.
Base model iPhone “offers” slow 60 hz screen, base mode Samsung s24 120 hz smooth screen…ABSOLUTELY NO COMPETITION, the average person is far better of with the base Samsung. I bought one for my wife and first she assured me that if she couldn’t understand the android side then she went back. She is overjoyed with the s24 she couldn’t believe it was so good and fast compared to the iPhone.
Samsung has a default facetime equivalent. It's google meet. Since it runs android the default video call service is google meet and it's an optimized "for Samsung galaxy" version in fact. And you can also continue your messages on your PC. If that doesn't work for you there's a google messages web client that does support RCS.
In past times people used to change to the one that provided the best hardware but sense hardware differences are almost nonexistent the OS what make people stick to one thing. I always used Samsung because I like the freedom of android plus the easy and one Ui

You mentioned that you like the Pro Video mode on the iPhone. I would like to point out that Samsung also has its own Pro Video Mode. If you swipe to the left and go to more options, you'll see the Pro Video mode option. I believe it contains the same settings as the iPhone Pro Video mode.
You can't say apple has an ecosystem because they only have: phone , ipad , airpods , watch and mac laptop While Samsung has a phone , fold and flip phones , tab , buds , laptop , washing machine , dishwasher , AC , microwave , TV , fridge, vacuum, and even cars!!
It's funny you mention all Samsung problems but didn't mention the vision being a failure. Also Samsung has Google meet and RCS. I see you never used a android phone. But ok video.
Just a little note... samsung, technically, made a VR headset (Samsung Gear VR), yes not as advanced as the Apple VR/AR one, and yes it needed the phone to be used (and only work with S6 line and S7 edge)... so this is more of a fun fact than anything
As I decided to use android tablets in general a long time ago - for about 3-5 years there are even more optimized apps for them than for ipads (e.g. instagram), so I'm really curious - what apps are not optimized for android on big screens?
Mmmm maybe Netflix or UA-cam my two most used app on my iPad. Tell me something to convince me to go fully Samsung. Right now I have an a54 with galaxy buds Fe and iPad 9. Convince me to ditch my iPad with a Samsung tab for someone who uses the iPad for phone or personal use ?

@@sarizonana well I dont know any not optimized apps except some chinese marketplaces (like aliexpress). In addition, even Instagram is optimized for android tablets in general comparing to ipads. So if you will use tablet just as bedside screen or to watch something, play something or communicate with someone - I'm sure you won't be disappointed to say the least. But still - I'd recommend to get nothing from budget tier of Samsung tablets in general since those Exynos chips are not aging well comparing to their Snapdragon-powered models, so something like tab s7/s8/s9 or bigger would be the perfect one to balance performance and longevity. Plus you'll get Dex available without any additional screens which may become useful at least once in a while)
Just realised that there is nothing significant about the Apple ecosystem anymore, especially if you not from the US. The only thing holding Samsung and other brands back is the fact that it doesn't make most of its hardware and a lack of a laptop OS, imagine if you added the home appliances to the comparison apple would eat so much dust. But with no control over hardware(Chips to be exact) and a laptop OS things are not as seamless but they work exceptionally better than the apple features. I have a non samsung laptop but the way it works with my phone is insane.
The issue is no youtuber ever done a review of 3+ years of using the product. I listened to mkhb and bought the S21. After using it for 3 years, it's become laggy and gets hot while using simple apps like measuring and snap filters. But my dad has the iphone 11, its so well optimised. It's like using a new phone. No lag. And when recording, when zoom in or out, you get a small cut, especially editing it on the pc. Sorry new samsung is good but not in the long run. And this youtuber said apple copying samsung and vice versa, because apple comes with moving w8dgets after years. Lol. Thats why we should stop taking their advice. Make a run to their R&D, they got awesome tech, but they launch it when it is at their best and simple. Dont forget, my dad bought iphone because of its simplicity.
One additional category that most people don’t even think about… Data Privacy! Apple continues to add privacy features, and Google will never implement this as it’s their primary goal to sell your data! Awesome video, few things I have observed as I use both the ecosystems and I paid for all of them, so it does hurt when something breaks: 1) Quality Control - Samsung needs to really tighten up here! We bought 7 Galaxybooks for work, out of which 5 had to go back as they all had different issues! Even Samsung support team felt sorry as we had to go through soo much trouble as every fix wiped the laptops clean and they needed setting up again from scratch! We bought all these laptops from Samsung official online store in UK!! My 2 year old Galaxy Z Fold, which costed £1700 broke. No external damage from my side, the folding screen just gave up and now I have a thick black line running across the entire fold and the whole screen is non-responsive! 2) Consistency - All the ecosystem features are bit fiddly and not as refined as Apple's. Plus, I never get consistent performance even from their high end phones! For instance, the camera randomly flickers mid shoot and I am scared to film an unboxing video with it, because the flickering gets captured in the recoding as well and if it happens at the right moment, I cant even use that shot! But ya, besides these, everything else is great .. and due to the competition, we keep getting excellent stuff from both these companies 😊
I used to be a Samsung user predominantly until 2020, I think my biggest gripe in UK was that exynos chip was so poor and the last device I had from Samsung was the note 8, battery life and performance was so bad. I switched to a iPhone and although I found iOS so restricted and non customisable compared to android, albeit knew some of this going into it, I have found iOS to be solid, much better experience all round and I haven’t found the need to upgrade to the latest iPhone after my contract was up where Samsung phones I felt like a upgrade was always needed after 24 months. However I do think Apple are lagging behind Samsung in some areas. But fundamentally for me not in areas that would sway me back to Samsung as I am happy with Apple products and services. Although I am tempted after 4 years to upgrade maybe this year to the iPhone 16 plus or pro, or depending on price cuts maybe the 15 pro max. Depends on what the 16 brings to the table this year. But I am impressed with Galaxy S23 and the 24 ultras which featured the superior snapdragon, that I have seen in use by friends. For me I guess it comes down to use case and preference. Since wife and I use iPads for tablets it syncs flawlessly with iPhones, however I am hoping to make the switch to macOS one day, but pricing with only 8gb and 256gb in most macs these days feels criminal tbh. Hoping that the rumoured 12gb ram 512gb on base models moving forward is true. This may sway me from windows. Only time can tell. Good video
After falling asleep watching iPhone 16 launch event, first time considering getting out of the walled garden and jump to Samsung fold 6....do I really want to take on this headache of untangling myself from being so entrenched in the ecosystem is my dilemma. I am finding that if your by yourself its easier to switch but when you have a family and you give your kids allowance using Apple Cash, using Apple Card, Apple Pay, sharing photos with wife using airdrop, its a lot more difficult.
I’m an Apple user and own a MacBook, AirPods, iPhone, and iPad. But recently, I bought the Fold 6, and I can say that this is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a phone.
I was a Samsung user for about 10+ years. But in 2022 I wanted a new tablet, and I just wasn't impressed with what Samsung had to offer at the time. I decided to make the jump and buy an iPad and a month later I was buying an iPhone 13 Pro Max and saying goodbye to my Samsung S21 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 4, Buds Pro, Tab S6 lite. 2 years on I've fully integrated into the Apple System with iPhone, Apple Watch, Airpods, Macbook, Apple Tv and Homepods. I love the Ecosystem. That being said when Samsung announced they were making laptops again I did nearly go back. It really is down to preference, my partner is a Samsung phone user and would never move away from it, poor chap can't even figure out how to open my phone!
Samsung does offer many over ear headphones as well as in ear and even wired through Harman Kardon which is owned by Samsung. They make brands like AKG and they have a hand in tuning Samsung branded headphones, speakers, and soundbars. Second thing, Samsung does have an imessage equivalent through Samsung messages and Google messages. You get sent, delivered, and read receipts through both and can see when someone is typing. We can even interact with messages (such as liking them and things) as well. Samsung does offer video calling, but it's through Google or a carrier branded option but it is as seamless as FaceTime.
I would've liked if you could mention the repairability of the Galaxy Buds 3 in your comparison, as it might be a deciding factor for a device that expensive. Samsung (unlike apple) has made access to the batteries very easy, and for a product which is going to have to go under maintenance every three or four years due to battery degradation it is very important to mention.
An important thing with the s pen is also that Firstly it doesn't need a battery you need to think about and second you can colanorate with other people. Everyone is standing around a galaxy tab with their own pens from their own tablets or phones and can just write on someone elses tablet.
_Explains how Galaxy Book is essentially a Mac with better hardware and a superior OS for running all sorts of apps (Windows)_ _Also calls it a tie_ I respect your opinion, but I can already see some heavy bias
Two points I don't believe you covered and I would be curious how Samsung ranks in these areas. 1) Family sharing with Apple. My wife and I easily share a calendar for family events. We also use the shared notes. 2) People complain about Apple's closed software ecosystem. That system makes it very difficult for malware to invade an Apple device. Does Samsung validate Android or Windows software to prevent that from occurring? 3) Apple takes privacy very seriously which kind of goes hand in hand with the software ecosystem, but I'm less concerned with Apple leaking any of my personal data than I am with any other company. So, I'm curious how Samsung ranks in these areas.
for 2) samsung assumes you have a few IQ points and don't download more RAM... Play store does say what company you are downloading from and if you're using the browser they always ask if you want to download something
Gotta hand it to the Tech Chap for the quality of his vids. Frequently play them just to test display tweks lol. Not that the content is bad in any way.
Apart from the normal Google messaging app, Samsung also have Thier Samsung messages app that you can use on all Galaxy devices (its supports videos, photos, emoji's, and messages can be sent not by only MMS but also via Internet)... So u can say its the equivalent of iMessage
I use both with a mixed way and happy like that. Burrying into only one is not a good option. Both has some advantages with themselves in particular ways so 🤷🏻♂️

Samsung ✊🏻
Just one correction, Samsung announced the Galaxy Gear smartwatch in 2013 and the Apple watch was released in 2015. So no, Apple didn't do the smartwatch first, Samsung did.
Ohh fair enough! Thanks for that
Samsung did it first and Apple did it better as always
As usual, lol. But hey you can't convince Americans that a world outside their country ever existed
@@elderman64 Are you referring to the reviewer? Isn't he from the UK?
For me one of your negatives for the Samsung ecosystem is actually a positive, the lack of Samsung versions of Facetime and iMessage. Relying on the Google defaults for these makes it easier to communicate to other Android users who haven't bought into Samsung.
Good point actually!
Nobody uses facetime and imessage outside of USA

Sure, but @The Tech Chap still didn't mention Samsung fridge, robot vacuum, oven, fridge, laundry machine, etc. -- the REAL ecosystem you can control and adjust workflows. For example scheduling to run the laundry machine while at work during non-quiet hours, or heating up potatoes prepared in the oven when getting back fromwork, etc. Apple is just a jail cell. Yea. This video was more of a “UA-cam tech reviewer” than an actual real world user. You know, features, features and more features. Specs, etc
You a bit harsh he touched that subject hit didn’t talk about stuff like Apple wallet or face unlock etc

Here are the numbers just reported last week on the Apr-Jun quarter that illustrates how far behind Samsung is:
Samsung revenue 19.4 billion ------ Samsung profit 1.6 billion
Apple revenue 53.4 billion -------- Apple profit 13.4 billion
It's been that way for 10 years, Samsung is hopelessly behind and not catching up. Just look at their market value (market cap). Apple is worth 3.27 trillion and Samsung is worth 351 billion.

Also, if you watch videos in their native aspect ratio, it’s almost the same size as I had on S23 Ultra OR clipped sides on full screen.
This is a lie. Instagram is horrible on iPad and has big black bars on the sides. Typing this from my iPad pro. @@makasete30
As far as eye comfort, No one, absolutely No one makes more comfortable screens than Samsung.
If you suffer from eye strain, Samsung is life changing.

MacBooks are top laptops (non gaming), Samsung top phone, Sony best buds, tablets are not necessary for most people but Samsungz are good
Wait how does the MacBook fit in? They don't support Quick share on that do they? Or Screencast and the other stuff
Not an Apple fanboy, but I see no reason why a pure laptop needs a touch screen.
People don't understand a touchscreen on a laptop, until they get to use one. I use the S pen and touch screen feature often on my Galaxy Book.
I got a Lenovo X1 Carbon and a Dell XPS with touchscreen. I hardly ever use those touchscreens. I much prefer my 14 inch MacBook Pro
@@abhishekkr4004it's VERY useful
Honestly a touchscreen on a laptop is kinda simular to an iPad with a keyboard, if you have both i dont se a reason to have a touchscreen on a laptop, maybe it is nice to have, but im just saying its not necessary.
I love the freedom that Samsung provides me with. Unlike Apple which locks you in to what it wants you to do. Samsung every time.
I use both and apple has never disapointed me.

Apple Ecosystem is still better.
Samsung has a much larger range of products though.
Ipad sucks.
Love to see NOTHING build its eco-system to compete with Apple and Samsung.
Unfortunately, because Samsung does not sell its laptops in many regions (e.g Australia, Southeast Asia), the Samsung ecosystem is incomplete in many parts of the world, unless you know how to sideload their software services on windows...
I've been thinking about buying a Samsung laptop on Amazon, but I think I might just get a better tablet and use dex.
16:30 When people discover that samsung had invented airdrop 10 years before apple. But samsung just dropped it🙈
Exactly, Samsung dropped it. Apple didn't.

@monkeoli Apple released it 10 years later when everyone forgot about it and when tech was better.
@@Mr.Artifical doesn't matter. Samsung dropped it. Apple made it popular and actually useful.

I would strongly disagree that Apple makes better tablet that Samsung. Far superior features and screen quality is on Samsung tablets.
I use Galaxy 22+ and Galaxy watch 7 but I also use Macbook pro and an ipad and airpods pro lol. Surprisingly they all work together pretty well. The Sample! (like someone else said here)
Why did you waste money & habits on iPad & Macbook when S22(/23/34/25) Pro with S-pen & DeX can do the same? Or just any other PC for configurability.
I have a similar hybrid eco system. S24 plus, watch 7, macbook, ipad and both airports and buds 3 pro. Sample, the crossbreed ecosystem 😅
It's like walking into an ice cream store and asking someone if they want 5 scoops of French vanilla ice cream or the option to mix and match every other flavor... I'll take the mix option every time 😉
Same bro🤝. Nothing wrong with using both apple and samsung products
HMMMMMM, some bias incoming?! Let's continue watching...
Samsung copies Apple naming their watch "ULTRA"
Meanwhile Samsung calls their TOP smartphone = ULTRA for YEARS now, but YEAH Samsung copied apple.
Thax for doing this Compare!!
Android keyboard is so much better than Apple keyboard. It got me in the habit of swiping words, and it is so much faster to type!

Google literally sucks eggs who honestly uses Google meet I don't even think Google own ceo uses that shite
Huh, what do you know, they aren’t that different after all, the big difference is just what OS you prefer mostly
In past times people used to change to the one that provided the best hardware but sense hardware differences are almost nonexistent the OS what make people stick to one thing. I always used Samsung because I like the freedom of android plus the easy and one Ui

You can't say apple has an ecosystem because they only have: phone , ipad , airpods , watch and mac laptop
While Samsung has a phone , fold and flip phones , tab , buds , laptop , washing machine , dishwasher , AC , microwave , TV , fridge, vacuum, and even cars!!
That's not an ecosystem though, that's just a product range....there's not advantage to pairing your Samsung laptop with their dishwashers 🫠

Samsung operating on the android OS is essentially collecting and selling as much data on you that it can compile.
Indeed apple have make privacy a selling feature - how they implement a third part AI to their model will be judged - elon musk has already made comment
And? What exactly do you think is being done with this data? You're being targeted for commercials? Oh dear, the horror.

Awesome video, few things I have observed as I use both the ecosystems and I paid for all of them, so it does hurt when something breaks:
1) Quality Control - Samsung needs to really tighten up here!
I don't care about ecosystem....I just have samsung phone and oneplus tablet
As one should.
An important thing with the s pen is also that
Firstly it doesn't need a battery you need to think about
and second you can colanorate with other people.
Everyone is standing around a galaxy tab with their own pens from their own tablets or phones and can just write on someone elses tablet.
