Fil not only caught Ken with his pants down lip synching but he found videos of Ken faking playing guitar. Fil shows in slow motion where Ken isn't sliding in the video when there are guitar slides in the audio and in one case Fil showed Ken was two frets short on his guitar for the note in the audio.
Two frets short meaning Ken didn't have enough frets on his guitar for the note that was in the audio and he didn't have a whammy bar or was bending to get that note. Total fraud.
Now, let's be 100% clear here. Ken never apologized. He attempted to deflect by admitting that "some" of the backing track had lead vocals on it but that the performance was pretty much 99.9% him singing. When it comes to an apology, it's all about when and how that apology is delivered. He should've admitted to this and apologized immediately. Instead he tried to gaslight everyone, smear the names of the people who found him out, and even financially hurt them. After doing something like that, an apology isn't gonna be worth much. It's clear that, at that point, it's a last ditch attempt to escape. As far as I'm considered, he still hasn't apologized and he's still a f-ing scumbag.
I only discovered at my father's funeral ( one of his friends told me ) that he had a rule to never apologize " cause it makes you look weak". Man, that explains a lot about him. I think what a stupid bone headed attitude to have had. Regarding KT I think you will never see one from him. Also people over 60 ( like me ) rarely change their past behavior. He's rather narcissistic also.
@@themotownboy1it’s called “confession”, that’s why it’s so appealing to a large population of conservatives, you sin, you apologize, you’re free to sin again until your next confession 🤷🏻♂️ They have a rudimentary understanding of what it meant that “he died for your sins” so apply it in a simple manor: a way to excuse your bad behavior
I made the following comment on Ken's reaction video. I was shadow banned. 🤦🏻 It's easy to say "they're all about clicks and views." What I'd like to hear is a specific response to detailed breakdowns like ones Wings of Pegasus has done (and removing the videos he had analyzed is a very bad start to a direct response to his analysis). You can obviously sing and the main point of those kinds of breakdowns is not to say you don't have amazing talent. It's more of a criticism of the state of the music industry with regards to deceiving the listeners about what's real and what's enhanced. And you as a vocal instructor are rightfully under more scrutiny; you should be upfront about what's authentic and what's enhanced/previously recorded so that those you are teaching, whether in person or via online platforms, understand what they are up against if they are trying to do things naturally instead the music version of taking steroids. You got caught misrepresenting yourself and are trying to save face. Remember, the cover-up is often worse than the crime. Be better.
I remember years ago Hugh Grant was caught in a very compromising position with a prostitute. He very publicly apologized on some talk show and the public forgave him for it. Honesty is the best policy.
Hugh Grant also let a few people (humorously) "take the piss" without getting defensive or angry. That humility was also instrumental in people not holding it against him. Honesty with humility is an endearing trait to most, but not all. Fear of the "not all" attacking when your neck is exposed, instead of acknowledging all those who would never do so, drives bad decision-making.
I'm glad I found this video. You seem like a very humble man. I appreciate that alot. Its rare these days. I'm happy to subscribe and look forward to your future videos. Enjoy your weekend
None of us are perfect. Every time in my life I’ve been found out for wrongdoing I’ve found that totally coming clean and apologising has been the best thing to do. It immediately defuses all the tension and brings out other people’s ability to forgive.
As we age, we do NOT suddenly become more prone to lie. This has nothing to do with aging. He's a liar - which tells me he's always been a liar - he just hadn't been exposed as widely before.
Hi Blaine, This video caught my eye in my recommended list. I see we have a mutual respect for Fil. I’m very anti pitch correction as, from your gray beard I can see we are of a similar generation. I followed Ken and was disappointed to see what he was actually doing. I thought some of his students were pretty good, too. That’s all up in the air as we wait for the dust to settle. If you saw the Wings episodes on Tori Holub, I was the one responsible for linking Fil to the song. I previously had tried to bring his attention to her but he said it was difficult to do an unknown. Well things changed and my timing was better. I had just joined his Patreon and went into the pre-live chat. It was the day her new song dropped and I didn’t realize what he meant by a “cover” song. I linked We’ve Only Just Begun because it was one of the greatest covers I’d ever seen. He ❤’d it and agreed. The next week he released his first of two episodes on her. Well serendipity took over and 1/2M views later, people still quote that episode when they comment on the song, either the original or in a reaction. So Fil can do some massively great things too when there is honestly in the music. Though there are still comments calling that song fake or a lip-sync. I sometimes ask, lip-syncing to whom? Karen? Greatest compliment ever! I saw you have some BCR stuff in your history. Cool. If you’re interested in an old soul in a 21 year old body singing songs of our youth, just ask me. Good luck with your channel. Joe
@@wintermoonomen now I'm jealous lol. I've been hoping for them to come to my area but it seems that it will never happen. I'm disappointed that I've never seen them or the classic Dr. Know lineup.
By choosing not to come clean immediately after being exposed, Ken instead, doubled down. His online response was embarrassing proving the sad reaction of an older man's ego. I've been watching Fil for years. His vocal analysis videos have nothing to do with any one person. It's about what the music industry has done to recording artist and the music we buy today. Lead vocals and harmonies have been auto tuned, pitch corrected and altered by the record labels. Yes, I still have my library of original vinyl but that's not the point. Unless the music industry decides to release the original unaltered recordings, future generations will have lost the ability to buy the original recordings ever again. Recording artist ie Freddie Mercury, The Bee Gees, The Eagles etc, etc. The record labels have gone in and altered all these old recordings and rereleased them. This is the story Fil is reporting on, uncovering it for us all to see, not bashing Ken or anyone else.
Unfortunately I don’t think he can apologize without refunding the people that believed he could actually sing “ live “ If his apology was, to anyone that purchased my courses strictly based on believing that my demonstrations were live, please ask for a no questions asked refund. That’s his only way out. How else could you apologize? I’m sorry you believed my deceitful demonstrations?
I'll say that I think he could probably do it live and it would sound fine, he just doesn't want to take any risks. But that's kinda the whole point of live concerts or labeling any performance as "live"
100% it's the doubling down, strawman arguments and offense as defense that did it for me. Then I found out he disses Freddie Mercury. Beyond the pale.
Spot on Blaine. Amazing how Fil’s analysis has filtered far n wide. I think it’s because it’s the truth supported by compelling evidence unlike KT’s which is all talk with nothing backing it up. Essentially because he just doesn’t have the necessary evidence. Onya!
The funniest part of this whole ordeal is Ken erased all the evidence which allegedly proves he's right and is hoping only his words alone are enough evidence.
Not only did Tamplin not apologise, not only did he deflect, not only did he double down, but it appears he has been sending out emails purporting to be from a law firm. Knowing someone who is in my old field of IT forensics is investigating the source email servers for those is telling me that Kens 2 minutes of fame is running out. If proven he could be facing a large number of charges with substantial fines and/or imprisonment. It is scary how some people put their ego above all else.
The question is which youtube vocal coach or singer isn't faking it. The true test is to have everyone sing (an actual song) without any effects on their mic in front of an audience. No reverb, just enough compression to not blow out the sound system. Nothing! A completely dry signal!
@@ricomajestic The funny thing about this story was that when I saw an early video claiming a coach was perhaps syncing I thought "well duh". It is definitely difficult to sell a course using a dry mic I'm sure! I had no interest in the story until I saw the response.
Very nice message you are making about apologizing. And along with that is telling the truth. If Ken was only honest about his miming and the reasons for it, most people would just say, "OK", and move on. Instead, Ken is caught in a web of deceit.
It is totally natural for middle-aged male singers to lose maybe a half octave from their high register - which can make things very awkward if you're known for a song you can't sing anymore. Sting of The Police still tours, but he performs his hits in a different key and he isn't particularly honest (in my opinion) when he avoids explaining that or other people like his band members offer odd reasons for why the song doesn't sound like it should. You can understand Tamplin finding this ageing process very difficult to navigate when his Vocal Academy videos seem obsessed with how to get the high notes. He's still a decent front man for an OG rock band - unlike Elton John and Rod Stewart who basically have about 3 notes left and should have retired 15 years ago, or perhaps even 20 years ago. Same for Tom Jones.
Very few singers don't lose range and other vocal qualities as they age. Well cared for musical instruments may actually improve with age but in most cases even they deteriorate somewhat and may even increase in value in spite of obvious imperfections in sound, and playablity simply because they have survived a long time and/or were originally owned by a great musician. It's all bullshit of course but to each his own. But nobody buys a singer's voice and so it's value through longevity is judged mostly by if it hasn't lost anything in those same terms. Tamplin always impressed me as quite a bit of an egomaniac. That's forgivable if his claims of (paraphrasing here) virtual vocal invulnerability were true but he's a "Trump" in that humility about his talent as a singer is totally missing.
You're absolutely right, it defies the laws of physics to expect it not to deteriorate a bit, as does his claim that the voice can actually get 'stronger' after the 3rd or 4th *HOUR* of singing. That, imo is genuinely dangerous. Voices tire very quickly (even when you're young) and every rock singer knows you can't give 100% on a tour, you have to keep something back if you want to last, it's just about finding ways to work around it, not always having to hit the high notes but going a bit lower (with the band's arrangement following suit), or at the very least lowering the volume. Studio takes are impossible on tour, and that's why Ken has adopted his own (now infamous) strategy to protect his own voice. Unfortunately the whole enterprise is based on a very misleading fantasy - to sing 'better than anyone else'. Really? Better than Jackson, Green, Gaye, Franklin, Houston, Knowles, Jones, Mercury, Dio, Cornell? Your local cover band singer, or choir member, even? That's mostly genetic/anatomical, and it's frankly cruel to suggest you can completely reverse a 'bad hand' (although learning to sing better is a great thing if done for the right reasons - ie personal satisfaction, or enjoying the music you love even more).
Ken had a long list of bands/artists that used backing tracks as if to prove he wasn't alone. But how many of those artists were using "Fronting Tracks". Meaning ......"LEAD VOCAL SINGER" tapes? There is a MAJOR difference of having an additional guitar, keyboards, some backing vocals (to make sound fuller). But NOT to have LEAD VOCAL duties on the tracks. Lead vocalist should sing his/her lead vocal live. No if ands or buts about it.
I think people are trying to simplify this when it is a bit more complex. He may have faked particular performances but he's also a good singer who is getting on a bit. You are right about weak people being unable to apologise. And he should probably fess up. But I also understand why he isn't.
Before KTs "response" there was some activity and comments. With that video he started a firestorm and now there are videos and comments all over the place. I am using his course and it's actually pretty good. But I have lost respect for the man himself. We have to be objective, especially if it is on such public display. The internet will remember all things.
My client Ken is worth much more than that. Since he is a good Christian man, the soldier of God, he's offering lessons at minimal price. Being the best singer and the best guitar player in the world, his 750USD/hour is very cheap. He is worth 10 grand per hour. Btw I'm Ken's lawyer
He's a narcissist, he is completely unable to say he made a mistake, he was wrong or apologise for anything. You will never hear this man say he was sorry whether it's on video or privately unless it is accompanied with a but. It's why he has to put great men down, Freddy Mercury, Paul Rogers, Al Green etc. He's at best a good karaoke singer and could never reach the heights of the aforementioned artists.
This is a long one, but I feel a need to say it: The people who deny the statements of fact that Fil documents right on the screen in his videos are foolish. It doesn't matter who Fil is. It doesn't matter whose videos he examines. The data is the data. I understand the data. I know sound, I know A to D and D to A conversion, I know electronics and music. I can glance at the data FIl shows and will tell you exactly what he tells you without ever having listened to what he says about it. He's not talking about the performers. He isn't expressing an opinion. He's overlaying data. He's talking about what the data shows. He isn't interpreting trends, or probabilities. There is no argument about it. Any audio tech on planet Earth will glance at the data and tell you the same thing Fil tells us. It's like reading the words of this post. If someone else posts exactly the same words I am posting in my comment here, then anyone who can read will tell you that one of us plagiarized the other. Anyone can tell that. It's not a matter of opinion or interpretation. It's simply impossible for 2 long comments to be identical by chance. The physical alignment of frequency, phase, and amplitude over time of an acoustic waveform being absolutely identical is orders of magnitude more unlikely than all of the words of a long comment. It's even easy to tell if a professional opera singer sang the same note twice, or once and you have 2 copies of it. That's as large a sample as is necessary to tell if they are different. They can try all day long to create 2 absolutely identical notes, but they can't. They certainly can't create an exact copy of an entire song or any part of it. If they aren't faking it, then the data (and Fil) says they aren't faking it. Pretty simple. If they are faking it, then the data shows they are faking it, and Fil shows where they are faking it. Then the only thing for a decent performer to do is to acknowledge it. I once went to a David Bromberg show where he came out on the stage and rasped out that he had laryngitis, and it had gotten worse all day long, not better, and that anyone who wanted to could get their money back at the club's bar, but that he would put on what show he could for those who had gone to the trouble to come for the show. Everyone in the club looked around at everyone else. No one moved, no one. People on their way to the bar for another beer stopped in their tracks because they didn't want David Bromberg to think that they didn't consider him worth the money they'd paid for a ticket to the show. We all could have gotten our money back and still stayed for the show, but we all just stayed right in our seats. He smiled, and said "Thank you. I'll do my best." He did, and it was damn good. Yes, he croaked and rasped some, and no one gave a damn. Other times the words out of his mouth pulled our hearts right out of our chests or made us all feel like badasses. Of course his guitar work was as superb as ever. It was David Bromberg, and he was putting on a show of raw talent and wonderful music, performed from the heart, music that affected us. It was the best show I ever went to. I treasure the memory. That is what some entertainers don't understand. We're fans of their music, but we're also very much fans of them. We relate to their music. We respect their talent and their skill. They have given us something of themselves, something that matters to us. It has helped us feel better. They are friends we've never met. We don't come to their shows for perfection. We have perfection sitting on their albums at home. We come for them. David Bromberg understood that. He showed honesty, and respect for his fans, friends he didn't know. Ken Tamplin doesn't understand that, and his dishonesty and lies cost him what friends he had, when all he ever had to do was be honest. But I get the feeling that he hasn't been honest for a very, very long time.
i really doubt this will affect Ken's popularity. i think a small number of people will be convinced, but I think the majority of his fans either won't believe or won't care. the only scenario I see a full 'mea culpa' is if a huge number of his fans boycotted in someway...which I just don't see happening. I can see how people might be fooled with the singing, but the guitar playing is just blatant miming that you don't need any kind of expertise or software to see. Just replay it slowed down and you will see him pick 1 note while 2-3 notes sound...you will hear bends that he doesn't do....he's hitting notes that aren't even on his guitar for crying out loud.
@@zfeazcesd1047 You are probably correct. If he is indeed a scammer, he will be like most scammers and continue to double down and count on his sycophants. We will see. It seems patently obvious to me. This is also why I like to have a live, local instructor.
Ken blocked me last week for trolling his FB account. He's such a fraud and s scammed. And the worst part he can't sing for squat. He should never make another penny.
@@Dooguk The fact that religion is possibly involved reminds me even more of recent events in my community! I wasn't aware of this aspect but I learned a lot from a quick search over the past few minutes.

Hello there BLAINE i just subscribed and you are a good musician and a good singer i was on a live stream with you and you were awesome and ken is a hard person to side with because The way he talks and acts about everybody else except His way I challenged him to something single about a year ago because I knew that he was covering up and recording live videos and then releasing them as A live video when it's pretty recorand then it makes you hard for somebody like me who's singing and people think that I'm doing something like that and I've told everybody I'll sing without the music to whatever you want so if you Zack good you should stand app for a minute so if you could stand app for himself anyway anyway sorry but gotta be aggravated I'm not afraid to say I'm sorry help hope all is well with you peace out to the world
Aren't we all just a bunch of narcissists? Seems to me, most live touring acts rely on "Backing" tracks because vocal chords in particular, suffer damage during night after night performances. Sometimes tours have been cancelled because of concern for an artists voice. So no big deal about an artist supporting his voice with a backing track. Ask yourself why would a vocalist use a supporting track? Fil from WoP has correctly identified differences in vocal performances, however he did not address damaged vocal chords as a possible reason.
No. We don’t profess to be the most amazing vocal coach while not doing the same himself so he is a fraud. He makes money from people, who believe his shite! And putting down amazing vocalists like Freddy and claiming to be better. I mean wtf?? He’s a creep.
If you have to use backing tracks - or autotune - or mime to a prerecorded vocal track - for ANY reason - you need to be HONEST up front and disclose that to ticket buyers BEFORE they pay to see you perform. Otherwise, you are a FRAUD. Calling your show a LIVE performance when it is NOT fully live is a lie.
I was a fan of Ken’s work even after Fil had made his video I was willing to forgive and forget but how hard could it have been for Ken to have owned up to this and give his subs and more importantly his students an apologyNo,he let his over inflated ego dictate and for me that was the end of my subscription.
He can’t though, as it’s not an isolated incident. Most of his stuff is miming,so he’d be destroying his entire business. Flick through his Shorts, he’s miming to most of them
As a long time singer I don’t understand why you would fake your singing on your youtube channel.. Just sing and play. Let people comment. If it’s live people will forgive some of your mistakes. We all make them. Live, in the studio. It’s no big deal. If you use pre recorded vocals for some stuff, just say it in your disclaimer and why you’re doing it. Sometimes you can use it for effect or to just try it out. But don’t lie about it. Pro’s will find out and they will call you out.
You are giving Ken too much credit. He was once a great singer -- how do we know he still is, if he regularly fakes it? Similarly, we know he was once a great guitar player -- but how do we know he still is, if he fakes that as well?
@@johnbriggs3916 that could very well be. I'm leaning on some things that Fil says in that department and I don't disagree with him when he says he can obviously play and sing - the question like you say is how well, and when is it live and not live I guess.
There was always something off-putting to me about Ken, even when I first saw him probably about 15 years ago. When someone like KT tries too hard to prove they’ve got something, it’s not impressive to people who want authenticity. But you can’t tell the people who do it that’s what the effect is, because they’ll attack you for it. I really appreciate what Fil is doing! Some of us are sick and tired of electronic trickery especially with vocals. Even without Fil’s equipment and expertise, a lot of us could tell there were parts of Ken’s supposedly live videos that weren’t live. I agree that apologizing is a show of strength rather than defeat, but some people were brought up to think the latter, and they’re never going to be able to let that guard down. Some are just too narcissistic to ever be able to handle admitting anything that they think puts them in an unfavorable light, even though it’s just the opposite. It’s quite sad, really. Being trapped in one’s own ego mirror can’t be fun.
This has gone WAY beyond what's necessary, until people are posting videos cherry-picking stuff off Ken's channel and attempting to spin it as if he's just a hack or a near-talentless fraud, end of. Just his Vocal Warm-up video with >1M views proves that claim to be false on it's face. Idk about you but if I were in his shoes I could see how things would get to the point where I'd rather give others the extended Middle finger of exclusion, rather than an apology. Seems only fair that if we ask Ken to stick to the issues, shouldn't those of us tsk-taking him left and right be willing to do the same? Just a thought 🤨
Things done in anger nearly always end up being regretted. He should have kept that middle finger deep in his pocket. Now he's got the off-the-wall video he made when he was angry to live with also. This whole thing is really a shame. Real pros know when its best to swallow their pride. 'nuff said.
Ken is the one who brought it so far . Only he can put it to rest by growing an ounce of responsibility. But no, he prefers to continue with gaslighting to continue his grift.
Unfortunately apologising is seen as a weakness for people with narcissistic personality disorder. Ken tamplin is a textbook case. His course is titled how to sing better than anyone else showing his need to feel superior to others. The only way they respond to criticism is by deflection and progection
Apologizing isn't going to help him in this situation. If he apologizes, he's admitting guilt and then he's completely out of business. His best move is to ignore the whole thing until it goes away. Because it will eventually go away. That's what Don Henley did, Henley never even responded to it. Btw, why isn't anybody going after Frankie Valli? There's nothing more obvious than that. There's one or two videos but nobody's going after him like they are Ken Tamplin. Henley and Valli are making a hell of a lot more money off of their fraud than Ken Tamplin is.
But this problem is not just Ken! Remember. YOU READIN THIS ... , you can push a button and sing with better pitch than anyone who's ever lived .... but its all fake. It's also an industry standard. Pitch monitoring software shows it. AI won THE ENTIRE MUSIC INDUSTRY ! REAL HAS BEEN REPLACED! Whos fixing all Billboard vocals till they're fake? Proven fact. Pitch correction or autotune ruin everything and it's being covered up by the musicians, radio, and music media. What Happened to Music? 1 Records have fake ai autotuned vocals 2 Sales have crashed since 1999, that's 24 years straight. 3 The Big Three Labels, 3 old men CEOs, control the industry. Warner, Universal, Sony. 4 No hits Push a button and you can sing with better pitch accuracy than any singer in ever.... but its all fake!
Personally Ken gets on my nerves, he is so full of himself and thinks he's a better singer then for example Freddie Mercury, Paul Rodgers or David Coverdale. He criticizes them and then he shows you how it should be sung in his opinion without considering someone's naturel vibrato for instance etc. I do think that's one of the reasons a lot of people don't like him. The lip-syncing during that live show and in the studio is a fact, but I do think he can sing, although he might be knowledgeable, I don't like his singing, he's a one trick belter and that's fine but he lacks any vocal diversity or emotional interpretation in my opinion. The thing is, vocal coaches are mostly failed musicians/singers that weren't special or talented enough to get to the big stage. It does seem that he's somehow successful in the vocal coaching business and I do think the whole hateful reaction video's are unnecessary and disproportionate. But that's the risk of having a very personal connected online business, one mistake or a not politicly correct remark and they burn you at the social media stake! But Ken is pretty pretentious, see for yourself - ua-cam.com/video/wCrF7MptRQ8/v-deo.html
Great comment. I agree with you about his voice. He’s a shouter and his voice seems to lack any noticeable melodic quality or communicative expression. It feels like he’s singing AT you, which I don’t find appealing. And yes, he is pretentious in his manner. He seems kind of immature to me and immature ppl usually have trouble apologizing.
Can we concentrate on the Fact that Taj Farrant has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Blues Album of the Year, anf get off the Negative Talk, Grow up Men. we have enough Bad things in the World.
I'm one of Ken's lawyers, my client Ken doesn't like the slightest critisism. He convinced me he's the best singer and the best guitar player in the world. Whomever disagrees, or makes a video criticizing his claim will be sued. Also making critical comments about his teaching method or course is not acceptable. You are getting sued my friend.
Hello Blaine for the record, I am an actual UA-camr with a channel. Not A Ken Tamplin plant (as you're probably going to hear because I have) but someone who wants some sense to come into the discord. Thank you for your "Take A Step Back" approach to this matter. As you are probably aware on UA-cam, like all other social media, that people can be mean and unforgiving regardless. As famous boxing Legend Mike Tyson said it best "Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it". There are some in your comment section whose handles I recognize are just raging and parroting the same madness as in the other "Bash Ken" videos. I don't doubt your sincerity and your humility but as you mentioned, they dog piled on you for certain things. As a new UA-camr myself, I get my share of "Haters" who speak out of their backside. I too watched Fil's video and felt that he didn't properly make his case. As a musician and an up and coming Audio Engineer (like you, a student), one thing is that you study what makes great music. Vocal Layering (a practice common among a lot of lead singers), instrument arrangement, and playing style. Fil's should have explained all of this in all his analysis video before "Throwing Meat To The Dogs". Ken said he had to use backing tracks because of his vocal arrangement of his songs. I believe Ken may have fell short in apology, but they will never be forgiveness from the detractors and already have them minds made up to destroy him. In my humble petition to you, if these haters are not happy with your response and dog pile you over it? Tell them to go kick rocks! This is why our world is messed up. Keep doing what you're doing and stay true to yourself.
@@johnbriggs3916 No. Because Ken actually sung in live. Backing Tracks were only used for the background vocals. Since you don't know his music catalog, You wouldn't know that. Nice try.
I don't think anyone wants to STOP TAMPLIN. I think they're trying to get him to do that himself. His ego is all yo hear when he opens his mouth. That's the turn-off.
IMHO Fil did not handle this properly. Ken and Fil are part of the same community. The community is stronger when we work together and support each other. When the video was brought to Fil's attention, he should have reached out to Ken privately and asked him about it. He could have explained to Ken that someone in his community brought this video to his attention and that he responds to videos that his community presents to him. He could have just asked Ken if he could explain what was going on and have a discussion about it. Maybe even invite him to be a part of the video. Personnally, I did not appreciate the "gotcha" aspect of the video. It's one thing when you're reacting to some thing like the eagles and other established celebrities but the UA-cam music community is much smaller and I thought, closer knit.
You're fucking kidding right? Fil didn't put out a gotcha video at all and quit trying to defend Ken or say that Phil needs to do something different. Ken is a pile and deserves all the criticism and Fil owes him nothing nor does he owe the music industry anything.
@@yourguitarist Ken and Fil are not part of the same community. Ken's into miming, pretending, lying and threatening others, Fil is making music and doing quality analysis videos.
Yes, but Ken openly mocks and belittles other vocalists. Do you think he reached out to them first. I don't agree with everything Fil says but he's a good, honest guy.🖤
Absolute nonsense! If that was the case then every one of Fil's videos should never have been made without reaching out to the artists first to give them the chance to "explain" (as you say) which is "excuses" in everyone else's book. Also, there is no "same community". They are different people doing different things who just happen to post videos on the same platform. Fil did everything right - he was sent a video to analyse and he did so fairly and unemotionally.
We NEED people like Fil to expose FRAUDS like Ken - and Celine - and Don. The ticket-buying public is paying as much as $500 per ticket in the belief they will see a LIVE performance. Fil has been exposing the FRAUDSTERS that pretend to be playing and singing live. If a performer MUST use backing tracks - or autotune - or mime to a prerecorded vocal track - they should be required to disclose that BEFORE they sell tickets. If YOU want to pay to see The Eagles mime their songs - that's fine - so long as you know in advance that's what you're paying for.
You are putting a good man down because of one video? What did he do wrong? Making videos and then editing them things like this could easily happen. So?
Have you seriously watched him? Faking his “live” performances. Putting down amazing vocalists like Freddy while claiming to be better. He is not better than thousands of others, and will never be in the same league as most of them. He has no humility but claims to be a “Christian “ while taking money from people who want to be able to sing live, when he doesn’t do what he claims. He’s a fraud!
It's not about a video. it's about live performance on the last 26 years. And it wasn't just his voice, he did it playing guitar. And we're talking about a product that he's selling.
Ken had the opportunity to steer this in a better direction, but instead decided to light his own house on fire.
@@Chez8922-kf6cy yes this is why I asked that people watch the video to the end. Shocking stuff for sure!

Amen. Ken really opened up a can of worms. You’re in my algorithm. I am convinced by Fil’s evidence. Thank you.

I made the following comment on Ken's reaction video. I was shadow banned. 🤦🏻
It's easy to say "they're all about clicks and views." What I'd like to hear is a specific response to detailed breakdowns like ones Wings of Pegasus has done (and removing the videos he had analyzed is a very bad start to a direct response to his analysis).
Be better.
He deletes all the negative comments. He's a complete fraud.
Great post.
Ken Tamperin’ (with his vocals)
I remember years ago Hugh Grant was caught in a very compromising position with a prostitute. He very publicly apologized on some talk show and the public forgave him for it. Honesty is the best policy.
George Michael was caught cottaging in a public toilet, so he responded by making a pop video with a scene in a public toilet!
The two most powerful phrases in the English language are "I'm sorry" and "Thank you", yet so many people just can't make themselves say either.
I'm glad I found this video. You seem like a very humble man. I appreciate that alot. Its rare these days. I'm happy to subscribe and look forward to your future videos. Enjoy your weekend
Good video! Thanks for pointing people to Fil’s video, and for your sound, well worded message!
Anybody who claims to be a "vocal coach" and then gets caught lip synching or using backing tracks is a fraud, plain and simple.
The problem is not so much that he's lip syncing, but that he's blatantly lying about it.
And Ken is charging $750/hr for private lessons and like $900 for a singing instruction video.
The backing tracks are commonplace but there should never be Lead Vocals on them.

None of us are perfect. Every time in my life I’ve been found out for wrongdoing I’ve found that totally coming clean and apologising has been the best thing to do.
It immediately defuses all the tension and brings out other people’s ability to forgive.
Ken just strikes me as someone struggling with coming to grips with his age.
As we age, we do NOT suddenly become more prone to lie. This has nothing to do with aging. He's a liar - which tells me he's always been a liar - he just hadn't been exposed as widely before.

Hi Blaine,
This video caught my eye in my recommended list.

Unfortunately I don’t think he can apologize without refunding the people that believed he could actually sing “ live “
If his apology was, to anyone that purchased my courses strictly based on believing that my demonstrations were live, please ask for a no questions asked refund.
That’s his only way out. How else could you apologize?
I’m sorry you believed my deceitful demonstrations?
I'll say that I think he could probably do it live and it would sound fine, he just doesn't want to take any risks. But that's kinda the whole point of live concerts or labeling any performance as "live"
Your so right about apologizing and a weak person cannot👌
100% it's the doubling down, strawman arguments and offense as defense that did it for me. Then I found out he disses Freddie Mercury. Beyond the pale.
Spot on Blaine. Amazing how Fil’s analysis has filtered far n wide. I think it’s because it’s the truth supported by compelling evidence unlike KT’s which is all talk with nothing backing it up. Essentially because he just doesn’t have the necessary evidence. Onya!
really good perspective. Thanks!
There is one simple term for this it is called gaslighting.

"You're so vain, you probably think [I'm talking] about you"
i think you can define art fully: something that creates emotion when you view it
It is totally natural for middle-aged male singers to lose maybe a half octave from their high register - which can make things very awkward if you're known for a song you can't sing anymore.
All Ken Tamplin has to do is apologize, atone, and move on. Yet it seems he has doubled and triple down.
I think people are trying to simplify this when it is a bit more complex. He may have faked particular performances but he's also a good singer who is getting on a bit.
You are right about weak people being unable to apologise. And he should probably fess up. But I also understand why he isn't.

Ken has the hallmarks of a narcissist. Narcissists never see the need to apologize.
As Ken says, "The proof is in the syncing."
His ego is massive , you can’t really call it work and he’s made a hell a lot of money out his “singing coaching”
Lies are the new truth .
This is a long one, but I feel a need to say it:
The people who deny the statements of fact that Fil documents right on the screen in his videos are foolish.

True Sounds Of Liberty was a great band.
Being trapped in one’s own ego mirror can’t be fun.
narcs can't apologize

Did they not learn the lessons from watergste? For real
I still like Ken… but yeah he used tracks…

Does Mr KT think that the majority of people are blind, deaf, and totally brainless?? Come on man, get a grip on at least a miniscule part of reality.
@@Captain-Future-Comet wow I couldn't make it through that. 😮
I should clarify that I couldn't make it through the video referenced. I did make it through your comment lol.
Can we concentrate on the Fact that Taj Farrant has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Blues Album of the Year, anf get off the Negative Talk, Grow up Men. we have enough Bad things in the World.
Ken is a full blown narcissist.
i got to 1:30, bailing. you need to have an outline of what you want to say. too scrambled.

Ken went to the Trump university school of ethics 🤦🏻♂️💩🕳️
Backing tracks that included the lead vocal?
@@johnbriggs3916 No. Because Ken actually sung in live. Backing Tracks were only used for the background vocals. Since you don't know his music catalog, You wouldn't know that. Nice try.
@JoeRojasJNPMultimedia You didn't watch Fil's video did you? The lead vocal was mimed.
Bosh. Fil totally blows out the “I use backing tracks” bullshit that Ken is peddling.
Ken can fight his own battles.
I saw Tamplin twice. He was singing "live." Ultimately, this is good promo for Tamplin. If you want to STOP TAMPLIN then shut up.
@@rickdack1197 Where in my video do I say that I want to stop him?
@twopianomanGAB_D
It's not only about a single video. You should consider looking into this, before putting out such a statement.
It's not about a video. it's about live performance on the last 26 years. And it wasn't just his voice, he did it playing guitar. And we're talking about a product that he's selling.
No. Not because of one video. Go get informed.
Which "good man" would you be speaking of?
