You forgot one more thing actually! (Or u didnt know about it :D) when you do the balcony you can take a window and place it on the ground and you'll make a door opening thingy..? Idk how to explain try it urself XD and one more thing u can colour the light of the lantern! Love the tutorial bdw! :)
The UX interactions and feedback is so pleasant and satisfying! I wish you guys designed the CAD tools I work with on a daily basis, they would be so much more intuitive.
This game is so cool I keep discovering new things and love seeing other peoples’s builds. I hope the add more interactions with the wildlife. Cant wait to see what all is in the final release.
Omg thank you!! I can't believe it hasn't been 24h and there's already videos about this xD and I've seen in my recomendations your 2 hours video about 40 ideas for the game. So funny. Keep it up!
Happy to be of service! I wanted the video out as soon as the demo went public because I think there's a chance some might turn the demo on and not realize the potential it offers and tune out before they even found all the "intended" mechanics. Let alone the unintended things they can do with them!
Thanks showing everything ! Maybe for bridges you can do a large pass way through the bottom of the building so it will look like a bridge with arches ☺️
Funny you should say that! I do have another video up... bit of a daunting runtime but you'll find a chapter marker in the description for "Better bridges using arches"
apparently not lol. $12 for a product just as unfinished as the EA. fun game, but wayyyy too barebones to consider itself fully released, let alone a contender to townscaper (and, honestly, even the mobile pocket build.) game needs time, and i need a refund unfortunately. nothing new from 3 months ago, not even new "junk items" that show up randomly. all just the same dozen items, lights are all the same, doors are all the same, windows are all the same, vine patterns are even repeated. towns start to look awful, and copy pasted when you go past a handful of buildings due to the lack of variety. everything covered in this old video is everything the game has to offer. tldr ended up just being a free product they decided to wrap a bowtie on for no reason and start charging money for. this is a studio whose products i will be avoiding moving forward.
Sorry to butt in, got a question about the >nothing new - part. I fully understand that people find the game lacking in variety still but I'm wondering if something didn't go wrong for you for there to have been nothing new. On the note that you bring up: No new junk items. The full release saw the addition of a chair, a bench, two variants of barrel, two variants of flower pot, two variants of a cart, two variants of stacked crates, two variants of wicker basket with stuff, a couple bags of something, a roadsign, a haybale. If I didn't forget anything that's 15 *new* clutter items. Beyond that the addition of water, placeable trees, half-timbered buildings, flags, chimneys, arrow slits, gothic-style windows and their associated door varieties. Patch came out just today allowing those doors to be used in a wider variety of locations with associated mini-balcony/staircase. There's also fences which weren't present in the demo, as well as new colour options. Not to mention the 24x map size increase now that the necessary optimization was in. Now I fully understand if that still sounds lackluster for 12 bucks. However, if truly you launched the game and it was the exact same as the demo, then something went wrong and you weren't actually in the full game.
I'm also happy to report that there's been an update just today adding further colouring options to the windows. Most notably changing the colour of the light that you can see in the window at night. Which also wasn't present in the demo
BUILDING STRONG LOOKING BRIDGES!! Just keep adding new blocks. Don't drag one blalcony from left to right but let two meet in the middle and add a third on in the center, or as many as you like.
This is the most beautiful thing I've seen! It was so nice to try out your game! I can't wait for the release of the full version and hope that you won't forbid buying from Russia ^^
Lets not forget that if you have tapography down and you put a path down that intersects with the top part of a building because of the land formation it makes stairs This and you can place a window on the top of a flat roof and it makes a trap door
That it does! Which I think is great for people looking for the Townscaper experience. But I feel that Tiny Glade has managed to appeal to a much more ... classic? building game audience. So putting all the cards on the table seems to have helped quite a few people
Excellent question. The walls actually have a ... side-dness. A left side and a right side. So which way the window pops out depends on which way you drew it. For the record: From the point where you start the wall and following its course, the windows pop out to the right. More to the point: If you find that your window is the wrong way around, the easiest fix would be to cut out the segment that it's on and flip the segment. Grab the left corner, move it to the right. Grab the right corner, move it to the left. That's what I did last time I had this issue because I couldn't be bothered to redraw the entire wall lol
I wouldn't build a bridge like that. Have a 2 stories building, long and narrow. Have archways (4:50) on both the long sides. Voilà, you have a see trough at the ground floor. Rise the arches as tall as you want and you're done.
Aye! I might have to throw a note in the title - the trapdoor got added for the current demo cycle so it didn't make it into this video. But then I did also forget about the second variant of ladders and how to make them...
I do believe the timelapse feature has been locked away ever since we got the new photomode, unfortunately. I think I had a timelapse play once as well when I swapped from the playtest to the demo build but I don't know a way to force the game to play it again currently. Whether it's been locked because "This is the demo" or because of "We're not convinced it won't bork people's saves" I can't say
@@freakout3516 oh ok, ty so much for the reply. Im actually watching one of your videos right now because I can't currently play 😅. Im so obsessed with this game RN. I love building so much and this game has so much free raighn. I hope the full version will have like small benches and chairs for outdoor and "soft indoors"
I think you're in good company with wanting benches. Certainly I do and certainly it keeps showing up in the feedback. I can't speak for the devs, of course, but I'd be surprised if we didn't get something like that eventually. Seeing as "ground clutter" has been featured in increasing amounts during recent dev diaries.
Привет! Какой шикарный инструмент для любителей средневековой архитектура! Будет ли возможность выгружать постройки в обх? Hi! What a great tool for lovers of medieval architecture! Will it be possible to upload buildings in obx format?
Ohai! I remember you posting under my other video and I never got back to you. My apologies. A lot of people have asked for export options - some for D&D, some for 3D printing. Currently can't make any promises unfortunately. I'm told a lot of the underlying tech in the game doesn't lend itself well to spitting out a working model. Time will have to tell! To answer your question from the other video: With the demo now out you're more than welcome to start up the game and replicate my build, I don't think you need me for it :D
@@freakout3516 I've already downloaded it! You just need to update the drivers first. Otherwise, without them, the game does not want to start. It is very nice that you are considering the option for export!
Most commonly it's graphics card related. Outdated drivers have a tendency to bork it and Intel GPUs tend to be the crahiest. Engine made in-house so compatibility with every combo of graphics cards is a WIP. Can't guarantee that that's it but that's the most common issue people have. Hope you can work it out!
i had a similar issue except it was just a black screen, i'd just updated my graphics driver to play it, but it installed itself incorrectly and freaked me out. I just reinstalled it again and it was fine after.
EDIT 2: ua-cam.com/video/-lthWN4B3i8/v-deo.html
Near!
3:00 that overhang is called Jettying (jet E ing) the roof (on the right) is called Crow Step Gables theres also gable and hipped roof in this game.

I find it funny the way he built something so good looking, when he was only meant to showcase everything in the game 😂
well it's almost impossible to make ugly buildings in this game...
Shows the fluidity and the possibilities of the game and how it can make you look good
lol

This game is incredible. Looks like the future of game dev as well.

This might be the greatest game coming out in 2024, I really hope it wont be too expensive, but I don't know
The number currently floating around is something in the ballpark of 10-20$US - whatever that might come to in your currency.

I love your build, it actually inspired me to go and build something in minecraft.
This looks like such a fun game ❤ I love building. I kinda wish they’d let you make a little character and have farming too ❤
I can't wait for the full game to come out. There will be lots more to work with.

it might not have been available at the time but in the current demo you can also place windows on floors, turning them into trapdoors
That is correct! The trapdoors got added with the current demo cycle
I had no idea the game had this much hidden depth - thanks!
The UI hides a lot more than what's actually possible lol

Sheep is a MVP ;)
is there wooden fence?
if you bring two buildings together there will appear a line of bricks where they intersect
really don't like the autoclutter on those window doors lol
Where do I see my time laps, I clicked once by mistake and saw my building getting build, but now I can't find the option anymore 😢.

We need the ability to build moats and ponds.
I do hope that that's what the locked "pond" icon in the toolbar will be for.
