So! It would appear that my previous estimate of "there won't be another ten" was painfully inaccurate. But surely now I've shared all I know, right? Surely! Surely. Also, I'm still playing with the idea of uploading the raw footage of me building this church because by God was that a process... ua-cam.com/video/9BB9X_kpz5U/v-deo.html Here it is, almost four hours strong! Here's 10 more things! A supplement to ua-cam.com/video/Aiih7D9K9L8/v-deo.html so to speak. I wanted to get this video out quickly for the flying buttresses. I had only remembered about them after I was already done rendering the last video and few people found them hidden away in the description. However, the map that the video starts on is also a great showcase of the results you can get when...

Made this on a whim for private viewing but then Tom said he would make me an offer I couldn't refuse. He promised to make me a big, big star. All I'd have to do is to swear allegiance to the Cult of the Lamb™ and upload it to UA-cam. So here we are. Seeing as you are the type of person to read a video's description, here's a potpourrie of links: Here's the dev diary being referenced in the vid...
The game becomes more magical and magical with every update. It's easy to imagine yourself as a magical architect in Tiny Glade 💒🧙
😊
Was a bit surprised by the lack of anything hidden in the dev diary's body. Kind of worried I'll have to pin a correction. In the meantime, check it out yourself here: store.steampowered.com/news/app/2198150/view/4220517501568004801
04:05 horrible OMG
Very nice, love that Game😍😍
very nice so much detail and stuff
i love how your username is the complete antithesis of this game's vibe
This is insane! so creative, love it!! All of your builds look so unique with the details. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely dayyy
🤩🤩
The best tool to help artists to make a good scenario!
In the current Demo on Steam i have a very limited Area to build and arrange some buildings ... 😢 I think, it is now for upvote and im asking why the area is too small 🤔 I am looking for the full Version 😊 A GAME WITH FREEDOM WITHOUT BATTLE, WAR OR HEADSHOTS ... BECAUSE YOU HEAD FOR FANTASY ... 😅
Wow! I can’t believe you did this in this software :o
Another tip for straight or perfectly circular wall: Place a building where you want to have a wall and then use the eraser to delete the parts you do not want. The building turns into a ruin wich behaves like walls.
How come you'll are so creative 😭
10 minutes and I'm already in love with this game... The sounds of the environment, the sounds of all actions are done elegantly and very soothing. Also, the plastic in this game is made wonderfully, all the details are interconnected and it’s as if they themselves understand what you want to do with them. I hope it's not gonna cost too much so more people could play it, but I have feeling that this game will become popular, deservedly.

baguss bangett
i think they absolutely need to implement a proper system to create stares, i mean, come on, who doesn't need to make stares in Tiny Glade? we can't create house over house over house and layer them all in order to get every single step...
Where do you explain how to get the wooden frame man? I can't find it in the previous video or this one. Awesome tips by the way!
As in: The "half-timbering at around 5:56 and onwards? Nowhere explicitely, I suppose. It's just a utilization of "blind windows" as demonstrated around 3:26. The thicker beams on the corners are lanterns as shown in ua-cam.com/video/Aiih7D9K9L8/v-deo.html at 29:53. Lest I am misunderstanding the question!
I just know I’m going to spend an ungodly amount of time on this game
amazing
Perfect ❤
These are insane! Amazing work!
I was watching to see if you came up with a nice chimney. Have you thought about it? Have now watched all your streams I believe. ❤ keep up the good work
I still use the same ol' "small circle of freehand wall" chimney that I threw into the 40+ Video but there've been alternative designs on the Discord. A lot of people are quite happy with just a small stack maybe 2 or 3 bricks wide. Then there was another that went square and wide, like there's a big ol' fireplace at the bottom of it. Those were kinda nice. Don't know if and when another video is coming - everybody else currently has me beat 6 ideas to 1 - but I could throw those in there for everybody's consideration.
Hey, mate! Can you create Hogwarts?
This game is incredible. Looks like the future of game dev as well.
very cool. i want to make Dark Souls castles
this is sick
Wow, what a nice game! Looks a bit like townscaper but nicer.
Can you tell where the Tiny Glade Discord is?
Link should be in the demo! Might only appear after some playtime - unsure on the details
It would be nice if we could build a hole vilage with tine citizens living their lives. No manegement, just build your tiny and cozy medieval city and apreciate 🤩
22:46 COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC. That cartwheel I just made me think of a cartwheel. *well duh Masked One* no! a cartwheel.. the sideways handspring kids (typically girls will do), that mimics the rotation of a carts wheel. The handspring cartwheel has quite possibly been with us from Europe all the way to eastern Asia since 4th MILLENNIUM BCE a whopping 6000 years ago!
Looklike The sims Building Mode.
ua-cam.com/video/pNgzgaJqEFc/v-deo.html That's some real cosmic horror non-euclidean geometry inside that cathedral, terrifying to behold.
The "cart tracks" at 22:00 are actually more like automobile tracks. That kind of track is made by a vehicle with wheels on either side, but no horse in the middle. That makes perfect sense if (like with your wheelchair ramp) this build is supposed to be in a more modern setting, like an old restored country manor being serviced by cars and tractors, but for a Medieval setting, a single path would make more sense.
I did ponder that, funnily enough! I don't remember what history related youtube channel it was that first pointed me out to "This is not what a horse-drawn cart track would look like." Might've been a Lindybeige video about "ancient paths" in Greece... Anyway, I decided to omit the technicalities and elected to help spread misconceptions about history, mea culpa
ua-cam.com/video/5ds054OF7hY/v-deo.html T'was this one
I hope you don't mind if I'll take this little build and recreate it in minecraft.
I love your build, it actually inspired me to go and build something in minecraft.
Needs pr so people can wishlist it creator can make millions on this
Omg, I need this! First time Im hearing about this game, and now I cant wait for it to come out and to get my hands on it when it does 😍
Do try the demo while it's still public! Game's on Steam :D
42:15 inadvertently touches on something that annoys me about this game--the crenelations on flat-roofed pieces are much too small to work as fortifications. The merlons don't even come up to your knee, and there's no actual crenels between them to crouch behind. They're basically just decorative. If you want battlements with actual defensive value, you'll have to build them yourself with freehand walls.
Very true. Highly accurate. The crenelations in the game have more in common with the decorative battlements on British manors than actual defensive structures. I got a whole laundry list regarding proper implementations of defensive architecture going back to the first playtest. Still sorely missing as well: Any type of arrow slit. Still holding out hope though!
Do you only get to build within that tiny space, or is this just for the demo part? Would have been cool to make a village!
Aye, for the demo you're stuck in the circle. Back during the first couple of playtests the boundary was the "unwooded" area. For the full game the border is going to somewhere out in the trees. At around 4:36 you can see the "Full Game" border show up in the background for what it's worth.
I just started playing Tiny Glade and idk how to save a building, can anybody help me out please?
The builds should save automatically! So if you left the game and came back, it should still be there. Same for starting a new glade. - On a related note: Don't be afraid of the "3 Glade Limit" in the demo. If you start a fourth glade, the first one you made becomes *locked* but not deleted. It'll still be there at release. It's just 3 Glades that you can have "active" concurrently.
@@freakout3516 ok, thanks
Great video as always! ^^
So its medieval ArchiCAD, i'm in!
It'd be perfect to be able to export the castle after the game as a 3d model for 3d printing - with an options like: without the trees/vines/bushes, without the lamps (separate objects) and with max angle of overhang slopes ~50deg for better printability. I'd love to let kids design their own castles/landscapes and then print them out.
That is a wonderful idea, honestly! Turning a digital diorama into a physical one! Hm, knowing the devs, they might actually be open to the idea. :D
17:58 Someone has very accurately pointed out that I could've just placed a full wall and cut it apart with the scissors. Completely slipped my mind...
This game will help get nice visualiation and how to solve castles for other games. Such a great idea and team. Kudos to them
wow shaders and texture work is absolutly amazing o0
awesome video, the chicken coops are so cute! ^-^ im gonna use so many of these tips. ah i wish i could join the discord too, but the link doesnt work for me. if anyone can share it to me thatd be amazing.
Huh, doesn't work? As in: doesn't show up in the game, expired or nothing happens at all?
@@freakout3516 the button shows up, but, when i click it, my game just minimizes and nothing happens, weather i have discord open in my browser or the full program. i think its cuz im using wayland on linux or something
@@freakout3516 yeah, the button shows up but when i click it, it just minimizes the game. i think it has to do with my os but im not sure.
Huh. Imma forward that on your behalf and see what can be done. What OS would that be? Edit: Just saw the edit nvm lul I'll see what I can find out!
@@freakout3516 thank you! yeah I'm not sure why but my last comment disappeared xp
This would be an amazing tool for game creators
