You holding the fan blades while dusting restored some faith in humanity for me too many whirl those blades and I sit back like didn’t anyone realize electric motors spun with kinetic energy outputs electricity
This pc is great it needs better air flow forsure. I added a 120mm fan one on top and one on bottom. Both are 4 pins. But idling with not running any apps at all it sits at 30c Which is nuts! It does suck that i did buy it used but it was 600 flat. The guy smoked like a chimney too-_- had to redo the thermals on both gpu and cpu clean everything it was kinda a pain
I really like the simplicity and clearness of your videos. You accompany me for the last 2 nights wile working, so thanks for that. PS: The difference in performance in this video has more to do with going from 8 to 16 GB of RAM than the dual channel, however I agree dual chn is always better. Regards from Colombia.
I have the 25L, ryzen 7, 3070, 16gb and the crash happened to me. Sent it back on warranty and while they didn't give me a report on it officially, I knew it was because it was from lack of airflow. This case has more than enough room to fit plenty of fans and HP still managed to cook a defunct and lacking design. Looking into purchasing a new case, new motherboard and power supply instead of trying to polish a turd.
It's amazing that prebuilts still use 80/92mm case fans and don't even have VRM heatsinks on their boards in this day and age. Even the cheapest modern board and case you would find online will have 120/140mm fan support and better vrm cooling. They are trying to save cost at MAXIMUM. Lenovo is probably the only one that acually has good cooling and non-proprietary components in their Legion PCs
it costs money and aren't necessary and the people who buy them have no idea what you are talking about. All those extra parts add up to a lot of $ when selling huge volume.
@@roasthunter They're already too expensive for what they offer. I'd say bigger fans and heatsinks actually ARE necessary if you want the computer to last a decent amount of time and run quiet. Even the I/O on the back is way too limited. I had 6 USB ports on my old custom Athlon XP rig and now we're in 2023 and we see this.
@@Mirra2003-f9s these prebuilt aren't stressed and running high watt cpus, they are built up last 3 to 5 years before the manufacturer's expect you to buy a newer faster model. No point installing unnecessary parts.
Those HP PSU's are missing the normal on/off rocker switch. For future reference on HP machines that you may obtain, the motherboard bios firmware update procedure would be of interest. Their support site can be difficult to navigate, and may require installing special "HP Update" type of software, in order to do a simple bios update. Why they can't follow the example of how other motherboard brands supply bios firmware updates? Such as Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, etc.
I got an older 30L.. R7 , stock cooler, stock fans . Stock everything . 2060 card.. wanna upgrade but don’t want to start from scratch. What parts can I add/switch to make it more 2023 ish ?
@@DLMtechgarage Thank you for your response. I hope that in the future you can try it, because in my country many sell 1151 socket prebuilt PCs at low prices. Thank You
Great video but one thing to note is that if you don’t use hyper x ram you cannot clock the speed past the ram already installed (unless you have amd cpu). It’s a horrible proprietary thing hp has. But I’d still highly Recommend this pc I’ve had mine for 6 years now.
hello, i have this pc. ive been trying to upgrade and ive looked into a i7-14700k and a gtx 4070 super do you think it would fit in and also be compatible with the motherboard?
I got one of these in 2021 and I’m finally deciding to upgrade the gpu to some thing like an rtx 3060 Ti. The one I’m getting is 11.26 inches length and do you think that it would fit in the case?
Ah yes the classic big brand tries to make gaming PCs and falls flat on it's face. The OMEN you upgraded on the other hand might actually be worth the prices they ask now that you added RGB. Everybody knows that's why the FPS went up, not the dual channel.
So my comment is going to be constructive criticism and not criticism for the sake of criticizing. Videos like this kind of get under my skin and here's why... People who critic the PC, critic it as if it were used for heavy gaming such as Cyberpunk 2077, Warzone...Etc but never take into consideration what the PC was actually used for. Yes, it may be labeled as a gaming PC but probably not used for gaming at all. I've seen PC setups that look like it was made for gaming when in reality it was used more for productivity purposes. So I'm criticizing the benchmark. Manufacturers keep the PC as basic as possible not so much to save money but because they don't know what the computer is going to be used for. Anyway, that's my pet peeve but I learn a lot from videos like this.
honestly for $300, thats an amazing spec list. one more stick of cheap ram and youll be able to play most games very well.

Thank you, for this fine rebuilt PC with a review! Wishing you all the Best!
Much appreciated!
Nice work! Thank you for the video

good deal for 600, yea air flow is an issue but I think more so with an i7, the i5 it was fine.
@@DLMtechgarage Yes thats exactly what i have lolol the i7 10700f or whatever thats 2.90 ghz lolol

Lenovo lock ryzen cpu to their motherboard using psb, not very consumer friendly

go with a 3060, and some good ram and you should be good to go.
I would buy one and use a circular saw to make a front hole for air into the system. If it is possible, to do so.
I honestly thought about doing that, but since it was a quick trade off I wasnt able to do it.
Hey great video, I have this pc I was wonder what things would you recommend I’d upgrade? And if you had any recommendations thank you in advance.
Memory. Def gotta go dual channel as seen in the video
Have you upgraded? I could name a few
Thanks for the video.
Anyway, can you try installing an Intel Xeon CPU 12xx v5/v6 on a Lenovo, HP or Dell prebuilt PC with socket 1151?
ive done the older versions but nothing newer

Recommend this pc I’ve had mine for 6 years now.
Is that a 80mm or 92mm in the rear? I would likely mod it to accommodate two of those and slap Noctua in there.
i don't know. I did not measure it and have sold it since.
Good flip! I got mine for £200! 2060, i7 10th gen 🤣🤣 16gb ram 🤣🤣 it was kinda sad cuz the guy told me he was in debt to some nasty ppl
I have a video where I bought a computer from someone who needed money to get their friend out of jail.
hi, i recently bought the exact same pc and i'm having trouble with the wifi. does this pc need a wifi card? how did you get yours to work?
Never checked it, I used only the ethernet port

it should as the 3060ti is not a big card
Hello, what is the temperature measurement program you use while playing?
msi afterburner
where can i purchase the ram? Can you say the model or place to shop?
amazon ebay or any computerr shop
the ram is ddr4 3200
Can somone help me I have the same pc I can’t find the 2nd nvme slot I had just purchased one and can’t find it
Wise man, clean the pc before testing it.
I find cold dusty pcs often have the same kind of smell, i can only assume its the smell of dead skin cells.
yea it's a consistent smell.
I don't know why you dust it inside ,just get it outside, your duster is wireless, so you have no excuse. 😮
My garage is dirty anyways with dust and pollen
😊 the amd versions uses the same intel cooler heehee
