Music was driving me crazy by the end. 10 minutes of the same 8 bar riff is enough to make anyone go crazy.
Or…you could STFU, make your own video, and stop criticizing people.
@@savoirfaire8979 can't handle the heat get off you tube. If the creator doesn't want peoples comments he knows how to turn off the comment section.
He's smart, he wants views and for people to like his content. I bet he learns from the comments and the next video will be better.
Ps. Music sounds like a ghetto ice cream truck.
We take feedback very seriously. And have made adjustments for future videos.
You will see all the videos after this one are much better in regards to the music being too loud.
@@goldenmotorNA didnt bother me. I'm thankful for the info. Tired of soy boys trolling/simping over comments left on UA-cam. We live and we learn. Comments are just an easy way to keep your finger on the pulse of the audience.
Keep it up!
@@goldenmotorNA Great video, but that 'music'. Jeez it was awful. I dont need or want it. You have a good voice, good presentation, drop the music. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the interesting info. I had to give up on it though, because that horrible muzak was driving me nuts.
Switch sound to off..and hit the cc button...problem solved.
The music is way to high that's why
true that, muzak ruins a lot of otherwise great videos. if you must, at least keep the volume down
Very informative. People are ever so rude in passing blunt comments. Mute it if it gets on your nerves. Simples. Will address my similar ssues in the new year but this has given me insight what is expected in the meantime. Parts availability at reasonable prices £uk for Lekkie atm a little challenging.
This video is fantastic. Very clearly explains the procedure for correcting chain-line issues with a bbshd. Really appreciate the other insightful tips about the clutch and the array of chain ring options shown at the end.
Loving the high quality video. Thank you! Installing my bling ring now.
I bought one of these couldn't wait for it to arrive, it's a weeks pay for me so I was excited right. It arrived, and soon after I was riding, riding without the chain falling off. I rode 9km when the chain dislodged, I have to say I take it easy on my BBSHD, when I whent to put the chain back on I saw that there was a chunk out of the lekkie chain ring.... Devostated. Long story short, I was inquiring on a replacement of the $300 Bling Ring, unfortunately to no prevail. 9km of awesomeness is all I experienced. I think mine may have been a one-off dud, is why I think all the more reason to have replaced mine. I couldn't be selling these things Lekkie.
Wicked vid!! Thx a lot..its been a pleasure working with the Golden Team!!!
Dude...useful video. And, the music sound level is overpowering. :)
Me too very helpful, This video is fantastic. Very clearly explains the procedure for correcting chain-line issues with a bbshd. Really appreciate the other insightful tips about the clutch and the array of chain ring options shown at the end.👍👍👍
really well put together video, thanks that cleared a few things up that were on my mind
Turn on closed captioning
Thing I like about this video is that I'm currently doing all the same things to my 2017 Norco Storm 9.1.
Very informative. Thanks for the demonstration
Hey, thank you for sharing helpful my bike should be ok with a lekki 🤗big up from France
I'm baffled why Bafang doesnt provide a chain ring like this from the beginning. This adds a good $100 to the mix.
You answered your own question Mr. Johns.
Get rid of the awful repetitive music , good video otherwise.
Superb video, helped me a lot. Thanks
Thanks a heap mate. Thanks.
So for the same offset would a larger sprocket eliminate the need for the engine cover change ? Also to determine the correct offset would using a straight edge across chainring and measure to centre sprocket on cluster be the way to go, also ( sorry) your thoughts on using a front derailleur to stop the chain from coming off just on the lowest gear the others are ok, thanks
i got my 42 tooth today. I ordered the motor, battery any everything a day before ordering the 42 tooth blind ring HD from you and your part was the first part to show up so thanks!! i'll be buying anything else i need from you. The place in cali only produced a tacking label but my parts still haven't shipped yet grr. Hey i see the 42 tooth i recieved has a 22mm offset, do they make anything with a bigger offset in case i need it? I think ill be good the chainring might be off a half inch from stock at worst.
Great video but the music overpowers the voice
Would you say the ideal place for the chainring to line up with would be the center of the rear cassette?
I got same kit and bought 42 tooth bling ring from lekkie but didn't have to put spacer or that add on part. I noticed if you get the really small bling ring I think its 32 tooth it has a add on part. Thanks for video.
You just need the motor cover when you using the newest 40t
I haven't had a single shifting problem since getting a shimano alfine internal gear hub but they make it difficult to change/repair the innertube.
Thanks for the video, where can I purchase the spacers from please or spacers that would do the job? Thanks.
Nice I have a new 29er with a 32 t on front I want to install my bafang looks like chain stays may give a problem not sure
How did you take out the bearing after you remove the gear if you don't have extra bearing? Did you use a mallet also? I want to buy one.
If I understand correctly, if you want to return the chain line back to the original chain line the bike had before the motor was installed, then you need to correct the 9mm offset that the BBSHD motor produces. Is that correct? And that means that the 46T is the ring that will return it back to "factory alignment". Is this 9mm the same with the BBS02 which I have? I am trying to make sure I order the correct Lekkie and not have to return it from your web site. thanks for the great videos.
Yeah I started out with the 40T on both of my Bafangs...but tried the 52T on my BBS02 road bike n what a difference! Way more acceleration, Strava verified. Then I went 28T on my BBSHD fat tire bike.
Whoa! It pulled hills so much easier it was phenomenal. So to me, 40T is middle of the road, King of none.
LOL! And acceleration is so important on a bike.
52T gives you better acceleration? Don’t you mean top speed?
What is the weight difference between the Lekkie cover and the original cover?
I am aware that the chainring from Lekkie is much lighter but what about the cover? Cheers.
I have a m600 and 40t chain ring. Can I switch it for a bigger quality chain ring ? If so what would you recommend? Thanks andrew
Would I need a cover and spacer with a 42T? I've got the 42T chainring but do I need the others?
Thanks for your information for the Chainling
Pls I would like buy chaining lining for my Bafang BBSH 1000 W 48 V
oh great another thing to buy
Does the new base plate come with the 40t chainring?
Just change your cassette. It's much cheaper and easier to change your cassettee, & you can easily get a much lower gear ratio. Buy a cassete and a derailer extender. My cassette came with an extender. I went 11-34 to 11-42 but I could have went higher. I have a 42t up front and had a 34 in back. 42÷34=1.24. 42÷42=1. Lower = easier to pedal. If I changed my front to 40t. 40÷34=1.18. See. You don't gain much by changing the front from 42 to 40
could you do a video on how to choose the chain ring? if you have already done that, share the link please.
sweet vid i have done mine well wort it on a fat bike
I use a different brand here in France (Precialps) who has 40T and 42T versions.
It really helps for a perfect chainline with an offset that put the chainring closer to the frame.
I can use all my 10 gears smoothly, on my bike the 42T can't fit as it touches the arm, 40T fits, this version just needs either new motor cover or slightly file the original plastic cover at the output boss.
Oh gosh, I just got my BBSHD test fit on to my bike and I have a 30T in the mail. I am gonna have a rough chainline oop.
What size are the cover bolts? M5 10mm? Also, how do you use the grease port?
Great video! Could you share what type of grease you used?
Mobile 1 synthetic grease
I have a Sondors LX do you know if this will fit my bike and solve the issue of popping chain ?
Will the 40 tooth lekkie chainring fit onto the M625?
Is 1 mm enough of a gap between the chainring and chainstay? I’ve been told my setup with a 2mm gap is too close?
Great video, and looks much better, but it still looks like the chain will pop off on the largest gear on the rear wheel. Did that happen after the new offset?
Have not done a proper test run yet since it’s winter here.if that does happen I will probably put a chain tensioner.
Will put it up on UA-cam :)
@@goldenmotorNA - Thank you! I just bought an "Acclomile" 750 Watt Bafang bike. Straight out of the box it was popping the chain and I notice the same exact problem you had. Your video tempted me to keep the bike, but I will likely just pay the $250 to send the bike back.
Hello this crown that ai mounted. How much offset to,!? Another question the red flywheel that you put serves for decoration ..... Or does it allow you to descend again towards frame sheaths,!?? I fight with my 142×12 tank and there is no way. I have BBSHD 1000wat Bafang 2021. I spoke to the likkie website. They say I only recover 4mm with this crown that you show. It's true
Hi, comment # 100!! Can you tell me who would use the stock 46t ring that comes with the kit?
Where can I purchase a bafang ultra mid drive boost chain ring adapter bcd104 ?
What if my actual wheel is literally 1mm from the frame, will this help me?
I really why you changed the cover of the motor. Look like change only the color.
How much deetp is 28T chainring?
How you will connect it to the motor?
Do you recommend 36v or 48w 500w motor for riders that prefere PAS and usage of their own legs power (closest to torque sensing as possible)
All that can be customized through settings with an app you can install on your mobile and connect the controller to. Has nothing to do with motor power
So if my bike is only 7 speed I don't need an offset setup?
Can you link to this kit?
Thanks! Exactly the issue I’m having with my build at the moment. But how to know which chainring and offset is needed? All I see is a number of teeth and no info on the offset.
If anyone can help, please help.
Thanks
If you look in the product page in the description it mentions the offset on each size . Reach out to our sales team they can help as well
how would you know if your chainline is not aligned properly?
Thanks for the video. I could do without the music the entire time
Cn you show the change working ?
Did you have to file down the motor case in order for the bling ring to fit?
No, that's what the replacement cover is for.
to anyone that knows the anser to this question....can i install any crankset & pedals that i want....for some reason people always keep those heavy black cranksets instead of installing some nicer looking one...im new to this so pardon my ignorance.
Looks like the stock 46 tooth would have moved the chain line in board. And maybe would have given a more desirable alignment. No ?
Why did you have to replace the cover ?
Thanks, good info.
Hello,
I am desperately looking for a solution to my problem, but I find anything. The reseller seem to be not more informed. So I
try my luck here.
I bought a bafang bbs02 kit with a 36T chainring. But it is not compatible with my transmission.
My chain (kmc x12) does not wrap properly around the chainring. There is a shift between teeth of the chainring and my chain.
Can anyone enlighten me ?
Saw another video about this product but had to file on motor for clearance is this not required ?
not always if you are using spacers between the motor cover and the chainring then you would not need to file it off. but if not spacers then you would need to file off a bit. or you can change the cover too
Important note not mentioned this strictly for bbsHD not bbs01/or 02 which is 36 v 500w!!
Можно ссылку на этот комплект?))🙌
It’s a good video any chance of uploading it again without the annoying no context music?
Nice video bro!! So where I can buy this?
See the link below

Hi my bike make squeeqy noise whilst riding also the motor moves up when I paddle and than it goes down.Is there anything to be worried about the fit?
Hey, what's the status of your bike? The motor shouldn't be able to move when properly fixed to the bottom bracket shell.
Hi I put my BafaBBSO2 kit on my bike and it makes a clanking sound when I use the throttle and when I pedal it but when I just run it without me riding it it doesn't make any noise could you help me out with this thank you
Hi Joe, any update about the clanking noise ? I had the same problem and can’t figure out how to resolve the issue.
Great video! What's the point of changing out the base plate? Does it allow for room for the new chainring?
That is true. If you do not want to change the cover then you can go with a 42t
@@goldenmotorNA ok cool thanks!
Does this Lekkie work with a 12 speed sram?
For 12 speed , you will need the 42T HD PRO. Higher offset on the PRO series
Good video! I drove 29,500 kilometers on my bbshd :) Where can I buy such a star? I am in Poland.
Check the description we ship to Poland
The music is to loud vid is good
I have a terrible problem with skipping on the bottom ( smallest) 3 gears. As soon as I go over 200W it sounds like a machine gun. Chain properly aligned, new chain and cassette... will not go over 35km without skipping. any ideas?
The cassette or the chain may be worn
Good video bro. But that music needs an off set too 👍
What's the song and artist name 🎵?
how do i know what size bling ring to order?
Depends on the application. If your want more speed go with 52t if you are looking. For more hill climbing go with 28. If you are looking for a balance 42t
Can you explain what is offset? I found different information, very confused
Hi Chan , two types of offset 1) negative offset brings the chain ring closer to the frame of the bike. 2 ) positive offset brings the chain ring away from the bike frame. BBSHD stock chain rings might be ok if not you will need to find out if you need a positive or negative chain ring to give you a straight chain line.
if there was only a place where you can type in a keyword and watch an educational video on it. darn. tough luck
I know what a spacers are for but what are gaskets for
It's a seal. It keeps dirt out of the motor.
Why would anyone pay $200 for a lekki ring with 20mm offset when you can pay $80 for a luna eclipse ring with 24.8mm offset that can be modified with spacer?
nice video but you need a electric drill or screwdriver
Best way is to use single speed wheel and rings on the back. Your solution just move chain to one direction. Every bike is different, what if someone need to move chain in opposite direction?
Plus using cassette with more than 250W is worthless. In my bike cassette is broken after two months, around 2000km. Its just too much power for small teeth in cassette style wheels.
Should've demonstrated the issue before and after the fix.
A more common problem is that the chain ring strikes the chain stay.
MEC carries a much better park tool crank remover for not much $, won't damage your square tapers guys!
Can I install the lekkie 40t on the factory base plate? Will it fit?
Loved the video but the sound is maddening
Thanks. You reminded why the “cover” costs so much.
And put the Lekkie crank arms on for crying out loud 🤑
PS
The 42 tooth is perfect on my bike. ‘06 Banshee Sirocco
BBSHD
ITS INSANE !
What’s the offsets on the 40T??
ua-cam.com/video/flSQsO4xnIw/v-deo.html. (he says 18 - 22 mm offset)

Hi 👍 please can you give me Crown 💪😉 Link
Too expensive where can I buy cheaper ?
music is distracting and unnecessary
Why the stupid music????? , had enough after a couple of minuits !!, ruined a good video..
Drop the music. Too distracting.
I cant get past the music, not watching.
That music was driving me nuts, I skipped through most of your video. I Watched another video of yours on bottom Bracket sizing and that was great, could hear all your words. People need to hear you talk, not be drowned out with annoying music.
....the music really is unnecessary, ah huge distraction, irritating !
that music is sooo annoying ...
Why do folks always add annoying music soundtracks to their videos? Silence would make it easier to concentrate on what you are doing.
