Great tips! So true! ☀️☀️☀️ Every time when I’m going abroad to surf then I’m checking the conditions from the locals. When you feel safe then you can have lots of fun! Once I didn’t do that and then that was not fun at all, I tried to surf while crying in fear! 🙈 Lesson learned! Got to focus when you deal with the big Water. 💖 And yes - when you get the “surf sickness” then you never recover of it. 🌊🌊💗🏄🏼♀️🏄🏼♀️😄
These are great tips! As an old man, I like to do stretches related to surfing daily and got a tip from Kayle a while ago to work on back muscles so I can arch my back more easily to fine tune the board when paddling into waves. I usually stay inside to try for the smaller waves others don't want but even the white water gives me a chance to practice and get exercise. Yes, just being outside and in the ocean is "good for what ails ya"! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I love you tips, they prove to be so helpfull, thanks!!!! I am a beginning intermediate surfer and at each session I am practicing one particular technique 🏄♀️🏄♀️ and progressing. Thank you 🤙
Love the Tipps with the surfskate. I'm using it myself since 3 year and absolutly in love with it. Thanks for reminding and motivating how much fun all kind of Surfing is. Until now I visit only 2 surfcamps and I'm looking foraward for the next adventure ...mostly at of your Camp locations. ❤
I'm glad I watched this! While we were in Portugal, I skipped the surf skate session (mostly because I had a fever) but from watching this clip, it makes sense skating can improve your surfing skills, duh! It's funny so many people ask me if I skateboard or snowboard but I always say no because it's not the same techniques, but clearly I was wrong!!!
Awesome video! Great tip for the just out of beginner zone but not quite catching wave consistently out the back zone. A great reminder that press up/push up remains the main exercise to help in surfing. I’d also had flexibility/mobilty as a very important factor. I’ll have to dust out my surfskate and give it a go again! ❤ thank you for sharing
@magma4eva I am definitely going to try the pushup challenge- the older I get, the less I am able to do push-ups & I want to get stronger!! Also, I would absolutely love to join a Women + Waves trip
Really good tips!!! I already bought a longboard skateboard, need to try it though... but I need to get some out of the water techniques and muscle memory!! Also I will love to go yo a coached surf trip with you!!! It's in my bucket list 😊
Such a great video with amazing tips to practice on land to help on the waves! Surfing the bad waves / all waves is something I avoid if conditions are too big or messy but so true, always come out feeling better regardless! Can’t wait for my next trip!
Push ups is a great advice, yet a better way to integrate them on one's surfing development, is to do the as you do them on the board, under the chest muscles and with elbows tucked in, close to the body. This actually targets the triceps more. Do sets of whatever many you need to be hard on the last rep of a set, 3 sets, 3 times per week. Progress increasing reps or/and sets as you get stronger, it happens fast. Takes less than one minute with 1 min. Rest in between sets. After about 4 weeks of constant exercise, the difference is significant! Same goes for the legs. Great video thanks
Definitely going to try this, but I would help to be in a tropical island in a really cool surf camp, with hot water not as cold as Porto! So ya I will do this in those conditions 🙂🙂
Thank you for the great tips - I went on a skateboard for the first time in my 40's - how hard!!!!! I think i will have my husband film me on my next session to see exactly what I can work on, what a good idea! Also very good advice to go out in not-so-perfect conditions - definilty time to work on basics like paddling and popups.
Im on month 8 of longboarding 3 times a day. Feels so good to consistently be getting better. Im glad i didnt jump straight to shorter board. Catching so many waves with eeze has allowed me to focus on my wave knowledge and just general feel for everything.
Love this video 🤩🤩 cannot wait for more 🥳 gave me my daily dose of the ocean and surf 🫶 xx
Thanks so much Emma! We'll have some videos with things you can practice out of the water too for when you can't get your dose!
Ahhhh amazing! Can’t wait 🥰🥳

Have a regular workout program in addition to surfing is also key, as it enables you to strengthen your body, and feel more at ease in the water :)
100% agree! It helps heaps - especially doing cardio!
