I waited 9 months to get a gpu for my first PC and managed to get a 3060TI at MicroCenter its all about IF you are willing to wait and be persistent about getting yourself a new gen card.

That's the first generation of gpus (that i can remember) that picking up any of it's variants will allow you to play at max settings over 30fps in the latest games. Hck, most will be 60fps+ at your desired resolution. That's quite the leap.

Seriously, top notch video, again. I love the approach of just getting all the info and no fluff. It usually keeps the videos under 10 minutes instead of like some channels where most videos are now 15+ minutes on the regular with lots of bad comedy and other "Stuff". I dont know but here in Japan, 2060 is already 430$, 2060S is about 500$, 3070 800$ (Assume that 100$ = 10000JPY for easier calculation). All the budget build you guys mentioned turned out to be mid range price. And mid-end build became luxury af.

The amount of people still believing most of the stock went to miners is insane. Most of them go to prebuilt companies and most of the chips to 3rd party manufactures. It doesnt take a genius to find that out when looking at overall sales numbers and stock market.

The $100 price difference is only if you were able to snag one at MSRP at launch, actual prices of these cards land somewhere around the $700 mark right now. I managed to get one after fighting bots for over 3 hours for a 30 second window at launch, and I consider myself EXTREMELY lucky.
I own a 2080 super and imo youd be crazy to spend your money on an 8gb card right now. New consoles = new game engines = crippling vram usage. Godfall already uses 7.5gb at Ultra settings 1440p, Doom eats up basically all of it too and more and more games are.
Then it’s even more important that reviewers like Ali remind people of the MSRP so people know just how much theyre being ripped off if they buy it from scammers.

I got an i7 6700 3.4GHz with 32GB RAM and a GTX 970. I want to mainly improve video editing 1080p (ya it's a problem) and Adobe AE. Should I upgrade to RTX 3060 TI? or should I simply go with the new Ryzen 5 5600 and then worry about graphics expansion?

I wanted a 3080. Started to think I should get a 3060ti, then in two years time get a 4080 which by then should have at least 16gb vram. Got a 1080 currently and 60% more performance on average by upgrading to a 3060ti doesn't seem to bad 🤔🤔
If you have a 60fps 1440p monitor, you're never gonna see those extra frames anyway. My only hesitation is that 8GB of VRAM might not be ideal for Blender and Unreal Engine development. But they've got all those machine learning benefits too. Still competes with the 2080, when many people haven't even upgraded to the ability of a 1080 yet, like me. If the world doesn't go to shit in January cause of war, looking forward to upgrading my rig!
