As a 150 pound 14 year that can only fight grown men 170+, I sincerely thank you. Whenever I get top posistion I have to be spinning like a windmill to stay on top of them, otherwise they all bench press me with one arm. 😂
Thank you for your simple but efficient explanation, I can't imagine the amount of pressure that Josh Barnett put on Dean Lister to make him tap with his kesagatame
Good stuff. I actually lost a few pounds due to the stay home order by eating smaller portions. I’m going to need all these tips. I’d like to add that pushing off the floor helps to increase pressure too. I think off Josh Barnett vs. Dean Lister. Josh was able to drive off the floor with his wresting shoes and put a ton of pressure on Dean throughout the match.
Good info, I knew about the placement but the PSI/Pounds explain y my Jiu jitsu trainer who is only 140lbs feel so heavy when we roll. It’s a great way to rest and tire your opponent as well.
Great videos love them ! Quick question I started doing ji jitsu for self defense I go to Gracie barra. Are the skills taught there able to translate to self defense or is Gracie barra just the sport version I’m confused any advice would help thanks !
