Controlling his opponent from the side, Jean Jacques demonstrates how to maximize your weight to create pressure. The emphasis here is to avoid relying on the hands for control.

I have been out for a while from BJJ but this is one of the best channels to re learn stuff that will stay with you forever. Like it or not, many things from new school are too dependent of youth.
Thanks for sharing and that rashguard from the guy in the back rocks.

I'm a purple belt, 7 years training. Only just learning how to create and use pressure properly now.

First of all, outstanding. Secondly, there is a fellow in a gi in the background. Am I mistaken, or does he have on a rash guardwith a suit and tie design? If so, I love it!

Watched 10 seconds and had to come here comment on it. Having a hard time focusing on the instruction because of the tie distraction! Also, great rash guard

Funny - I had that one too and everyone at my gym loved it. I got it off BJJHQ long ago back in the white belt days!

He said. I want that your partner complains. In a good way. Meaning that he thinks wow what alot of pressure.

I was also taught to have "live toes" and it was great until about that 4th or 5th broken toe and I stopped that. Not worth it.
