Ice Form is the one I use the most. It’s my “Oh shit, I bit off more then I can chew” in dungeons when I need to freeze multiple enemies and heal myself. Plus, if you level it up to all 3 words of the shout, after you heal yourself, you can just target one specific frozen enemy and hack away at it while the others remain frozen for awhile.
Clear Skies will cancel Alduin's meteor storm attack. Bump it up a bit. Storm Call will strike friendlies and innocents you get a big bounty if you're not careful. Elemental Fury can be used on a pickaxe to mine ore faster if you just hit the ore instead of activating it. Good at clearing the Stalhrim from the big Stalhrim source and all the Ebony in Raven Rock mine. Whirlwind Sprint Is good for getting away to quickly heal or quickly approach long distance enemies. You can also use it while encumbered so you can get around town easier. Then you can leave summon a horse then fast travel and continue selling your expensive goodies. This one definitely deserves more love.
Become Ethereal is one of the most powerfull shouts ingame to be honest. And fun also. 1. Can ignore damage 2. Best thing for falling down of a cliffs and mountains. 3. But you won't choose it... So it won't freeze. If it was the best choice, then yes ice form is useless. But you won't choose it. So it doesn't matter. Maybe its just me min/maxing stuff though
Also it IS the best choice, because enemies frozen by the dragonborn frost effect of ice breath while lasting a quarter of the time as ice form...will not break out if tou attack them. Which basically gives you 15 seconds of paralysis for free, olus the jce breath damage

Become Ethereal is really good for ritual spells like Mass paralysis and Fire Storm. Use all three words and gather a nice group of enemies then start casting before it runs out. Also the first word has such a short cooldown that you can use it when a dragon is breathing fire and it will be ready again before the dragon can breathe again normally.
First word duration is almost the same as the cooldown, so you can pretty much have it permanently enabled as well, with the Feim upgrade from our favourite mountain dwelling Dragon, you regenerate health (with some mods, also stamina and magicka) super quick which even offsets Vampire sunlight debuffs.
Whirlwind sprint is the one I used 95% of the time, because 95% of the game is walking. Even in fights as melee its damn useful, more than unrelenting force which is more useful for ranged combat to move the enemy away.

Most fun modded however, is definetly bandits and everyone who has combat mods and that one bandit overhaul mod I forgot the name of will know why.
I would rank throw voice into the most useless. You can have a very light weight bow in your inventory even if you are not an archer and just shoot an arrow where you want the targets to go looking. That shout is worth 10kg of carry capacity.
I will always keep marked for death in my heart as the best shout in the game. Reason being is that the armor drain stacks, AND has no upper limit. It can take armor values into the negative. It is THE best shout for any build that deals physical damage. I once killed a legendary dragon, on legendary difficulty, at level one, with one swing of my unarmed fist, just because i could. That's how good this shout is. It even works on all enemies, including mechanical and undead. I've never struggled as a warrior with this shout, and you can get it within 20 minutes of a new game. I understand it not being ranked the best for others, but seeing it so low leaves me a little confused.
Whirlwind Sprint is best used to get to hard to reach places. There are _lots_ of hard to reach places in Skyrim. And there is always treasure in them.
Become Etherial has one good use besides running. Master level Destruction spells. Do the shout, walk into the middle of a room full of baddies, and cast the 3 second long Fire Storm. Just be ready to run once the Etherial comes down.
1. Clear Skies is not the worst. Above ground it has a similar effect as FUS ROH and basically no cooldown. Try it out. 2. Become etheral is one of the most powerful shouts in the game for melee chars. Become etheral to avoid enemies ranged attacks (bows, spells, dragon breath) run up close and deal damage, return for full effect, also 1 word is enough to pull that off already and the cooldown with amulet of talos and blessing is short enough to keep repeating that strat. Super OP even on legendary
I strongly disagree with your ratings. Clear Skies is one of the best aesthetic shouts out there, and if you use it at night, you get an Aurora Borealis, which is genuinely breathtaking. Additionally, because it forces weather effects to stop, you can use it in areas where the weather is used intentionally (See the Throat of The World) in order to get a view like no other. Whirlwind Sprint (SPRINT, not SPIRIT) is amazing for traversal, and is used in speed and challenge runs alike because of its ability to outright skip certain areas of the map, and Become Ethereal outright stops fall damage and allows you to dodge any enemy you don't think you can handle (this isn't important for normal playthroughs, but for challenge runs or places where you'd be particularly susceptible, it's MVP) I don't see how Kyne's Peace could be above any of those; even at level 5 or below, with no armor and horrible weapons, you can take on most if not all animals, especially with enough skill. You simply can't replicate the effects of Whirlwind Sprint, and could outright avoid a use of Kyne's Peace with Become Ethereal. To conclude, wtf are you smoking? Also, you had the time to make an 11 minute fully edited video, with sound effects, gameplay and all, but couldn't just boot up the game again to get the names of the shouts right?
Become ethereal is god tier in magic runs. Especially when you’re in the Markarth prison. You can just summon the undying ghost and go ethereal and let the summon kill everything.
i love drain vitality, by far my favorite shout. not only does it stun enemies but it drains them of everything they have. its less about the damage and more about giving you huge bonuses
Ok imma be honest become Ethereal is heavily underrated, because in my miraak fight I had to us more than once to save myself from being absolutely clapped by him.
the problem with Storm Call is that the lighting strikes don't discriminate against targets, so even friendly NPCs can (and most likely will) get hit. I like how it looks, I like the damage it deals, but is a bit risk to use in many situations, well, yes, "many" situations, which makes it more viable than I like to give it credit for, to be fair
4:36 I know mods are not taken into account. But I have a mod where I can hire multiple mercenaries from a mercenary company and this shout is incredibly effective for that purpose. I mean when you have 4 heavily armored mercs along with you fighting a bandit camp. You don’t really need them buffed. It’s just amazing to see them rend more ass than usual.
Marked for death is OP, successive uses stacks too, to the point that any enemy could be killed with one hit with a wooden sword if you are patient enough.
if i were at the sovengarden drinking my beer minding my own business and someone shouted and then i had to tell the others to hold my beer id be pissed off
Become Ethereal, Elemental Fury and Slow Time are actually all really amazing shouts, as is Ice Form. Become Ethereal lets you jump down from great heights without a care and lets your follower and summons do your dirty work without a hassle. Elemental Fury and Slow Time allow you to hit enemies much faster than they can hit back with unenchanted/enchanted weapons, increasing your relative DPS massively. And Ice Form can completely turn an outnumbered fight on its head by effectively stunning a large portion of the enemy army for an extended period of time.
One thing that I do with the frost shout that makes me like It alot more is I like to combo it with chillrend and paralysis builds in general because if I'm on a very unlucky streak I can use it, wait for them to fall, and now they are locked into the getting up animation which gives me a bunch more chances to paralyze
Marked for death is absolutely amazing due to the buggy ways its coded: you just permanently cause an enemy's defense to lower. Hitting something with it and then waiting the duration out just turns them into butter for the cutting, you can annihilate a dragon in one hit when it's silly enough to still itself for striking after marking it. Juuuust be sure you don't hit allies you plan to keep around with it, or they'll be... weaker.
In my 100% playthrough, slow time was by far the most powerful shout in terms of combat. Dragon aspect is good but not quite as explicitly op. shouts are mainly a utility to back up your op physical weapons, and nothing does that better than slow time. I almost didn't like using it because it felt too unfair. You take basically no damage, and you get a ton of time to get free damage on enemies. I managed to kill karstaag and the ebony warrior ridiculously easily by using slow time. Elemental fury is also really good, it similarly multiplies the OPness of your endgame weapons Edit: should be noted that I had the unofficial patch which fixes marked for death being as op as it is
I understand that Slow Time does not have very much functionality in the screen mode version of the game but in VR it is one of the best without a doubt. The main reason is primarily because in Skyrim VR there is no limit on Bow drawback speed. This allows you to absolutely pelt any living thing with Arrows and is essentially an instant win in 90% of the scenarios you may encounter.
Storm call is one of my favorites since it is so powerful when you're overwhelmed (literally saved me in Skuldafn). BUT it does attack indiscriminately, so your followers may die...
My main has always been and all ways will be relentless force. There’s nothing like running into a room and blasting them with a force push and everything and everyone fly everywhere! Plus it’s hilarious when an archer is hitting you from high up and you blast them with the force and they fall. 😂
Dismay's more of a tactical thing If you are outclassed or outnumbered it can give you time to go after more dangerous opponents, heal up, reposition yourself or even just run away. Very useful if you are playing on Legendary and your character is still a milkdrinker

Whirlwind Sprint (SPRINT, not SPIRIT) is amazing for traversal, and is used in speed and challenge runs alike because of its ability to outright skip certain areas of the map, and Become Ethereal outright stops fall damage and allows you to dodge any enemy you don't think you can handle (this isn't important for normal playthroughs, but for challenge runs or places where you'd be particularly susceptible, it's MVP)
I don't see how Kyne's Peace could be above any of those; even at level 5 or below, with no armor and horrible weapons, you can take on most if not all animals, especially with enough skill.
He has a tendency to misspell things. Was watching his daggers video and saw he spelled Daedric, Deadric
I totally agree with you. I watch his videos essentially to recap and see all shouts, armors etc, but his criteria is so bad man.
Whirlwind sprint is a quality of life shout when you are doing commerce in town and are encumbered
Become ethereal is god tier in magic runs. Especially when you’re in the Markarth prison. You can just summon the undying ghost and go ethereal and let the summon kill everything.
Clear skies is good if you’re traveling somewhere new and it’s cloudy. It reveals that part of the map
I use slow time then crush the enemy with a battle axe. So satisfying
Patiently waiting for more "My Wife Plays Skyrim"...
i love drain vitality, by far my favorite shout.
not only does it stun enemies but it drains them of everything they have. its less about the damage and more about giving you huge bonuses
Ok imma be honest become Ethereal is heavily underrated, because in my miraak fight I had to us more than once to save myself from being absolutely clapped by him.
You CAN indeed summon Durnehviir indoors, so long as the space is beg enough.
fade become ethereal is awsome for traveling when active your stamina doesn't drain when running and no fall damage is sweeet
Whirlwind sprint is actually my favorite because when your encumbered it actually saves SO Much time
the problem with Storm Call is that the lighting strikes don't discriminate against targets, so even friendly NPCs can (and most likely will) get hit. I like how it looks, I like the damage it deals, but is a bit risk to use in many situations, well, yes, "many" situations, which makes it more viable than I like to give it credit for, to be fair

I know mods are not taken into account.
Imagine having a ancient dragon born with a massive axe see that the next one uses fishing rods
Marked for death is OP, successive uses stacks too, to the point that any enemy could be killed with one hit with a wooden sword if you are patient enough.
the whirlwind shout is great for a warrior build playing against mages. Just sprint up to them and shield bash the mage
4:44 if your dont shout "ZA WARUDO!" whenever using that shout your doing it wrong
if i were at the sovengarden drinking my beer minding my own business and someone shouted and then i had to tell the others to hold my beer id be pissed off
RIP Marked for Death. You made every build possible.
Become Ethereal has a very strong use... in a high place? On top of a building? Want to get down quickly? That shout allows you to jump un harmed.
Just had to smile as Unrelenting Force just blows enemies over the cliffs edge.
WHIRLWIND SPIRIT LMFAOO
Become Ethereal, Elemental Fury and Slow Time are actually all really amazing shouts, as is Ice Form. Become Ethereal lets you jump down from great heights without a care and lets your follower and summons do your dirty work without a hassle. Elemental Fury and Slow Time allow you to hit enemies much faster than they can hit back with unenchanted/enchanted weapons, increasing your relative DPS massively. And Ice Form can completely turn an outnumbered fight on its head by effectively stunning a large portion of the enemy army for an extended period of time.
Clear skies is the best, with the first word you can stab enemies and the recharge tike is super fast
you've got to love this guy, he's so funny , i could watch this for hours... wait, i just did that
One thing that I do with the frost shout that makes me like It alot more is I like to combo it with chillrend and paralysis builds in general because if I'm on a very unlucky streak I can use it, wait for them to fall, and now they are locked into the getting up animation which gives me a bunch more chances to paralyze
I love using ice form on an enemy uphill from me. Enjoy the luge race downhill, Frost Troll!
I’ll never forget when I had such a crush on marked for death
Bronco comes to handy for dragons and guy they wanna fly they're gonna shout
Become ethereal is so good for me. It’s really cool being able to jump off a cliff side without fall damage
durnehviir is cool cuz he makes funny minecraft_dragon noises, yeah that's all i have to say
Dragon rend gives dragons a existential crisis so large, theyre firced to land
Fortify Restoration +500% stronger, equip Amulet of Talos, become infinite shout man and Whirlwind Sprint.
The "honey honey honey riding dragons!!??? WHY DID I EVER MARRY YOU?" part had me dying
Clear skies is way more important when playing on survival mode, where clearing up a blizzard can save you from dying of the cold
Juuuust be sure you don't hit allies you plan to keep around with it, or they'll be... weaker.
your southern drawl got stronger since the last upload.
Elemental fury is also really good, it similarly multiplies the OPness of your endgame weapons
Edit: should be noted that I had the unofficial patch which fixes marked for death being as op as it is
The thunder shout is so cool. Especially if you are playing a destruction mage. I often use this one but it sucks that hurts your allies too.
Whirlwind spirit with 5 talos amulet is quiet useful
The fact that you have to put a "don't come at me" disclaimer in the beginning really goes to show the maturity of some of these Skyrim players. 😂
Holy shit, the man stills upload, what a lad.
Which is why we have mods lol
My main has always been and all ways will be relentless force. There’s nothing like running into a room and blasting them with a force push and everything and everyone fly everywhere! Plus it’s hilarious when an archer is hitting you from high up and you blast them with the force and they fall. 😂
It’s also a cool bonus when they disintegrate and yeeting them off cliffs
Whirlwind sprint is very useful when you're overburdened
My man out there fighting with two fishing rods. Also your guy looks like He Man.
1 word become ethereal is an amazing shout for dealing with wizards, should be higher on the list.
Dismay's more of a tactical thing
If you are outclassed or outnumbered it can give you time to go after more dangerous opponents, heal up, reposition yourself or even just run away. Very useful if you are playing on Legendary and your character is still a milkdrinker
Clear skies is pretty nice for scenery. Sometimes at night clouds can block the cool stars and shi so you can use the shout to get a better view
Clear skies makes auroras come out at night. It’s the best shout.
Clear skies will always make the northern lights appear if used at night. I use it all the time
OBJECTION! Become ethereal off the side of the college of winter hold :0
