I went back to play BO4 (mostly Aether, not Chaos) and it bring me smile how Primis, Ultimas and Victis talk and make jokes. Video was great and earn you a subscriber 👍

It doesn't need to be the original four because their story truly has come to a close, but the games need that interaction like Dempsey breaking the fourth wall many times in BO1 yelling at the player or Richtofen yelling at Dempsey. These voice lines and interactions are what made people love the original cast so much. That lack of humourous dialogue and interaction between the characters in the newer games is the reason why people really didn't like the BO4 cast. It just feels like Treyarch and Activision just keeping taking the series down that hole that the companies have fallen into themselves. It is like they are sacrificing the quality of COD games for more profit selling the games at 70 dollars for games that don't feel like they are worth that much like Vanguard. That game was 70 dollars on PS5 and the game was such a shit game that only websites like IGN would dare give it a rating any higher than 3/10
Hey just got this recommended to me and this is honestly amazing content man i enjoy the switch in video style id say run with it and in no time youll be a big zombie youtuber i also very much agree with the points made in the video cold war feels really hollow and nothing even feels rewarding the story is bland and i hope they fix this with the next black ops
They have written themselves into a corner. At the end of the forsaken map the team is arrested so if they want to make actual chart they are going to have to kill the strike team
Every zombies character from BO1 to BO4 (only the few good BO4 Maps) had their own gimmick or quirky, like you said it made us laugh a little, even the CIA and CDC agents from BO2 had more character development than these cold war people
I say this as a Cold War lover, cold war zombies is like top 3 zombies games maybe #2, but not having characters and instead being operators just kinda sucked. The characters are why I cared about the story so not having them makes caring for the cold war story hard. Honestly no characters is my biggest gripe with the game.
I agree. I wouldn't rate it as my top three. Because I just think it's a tad too easy once leveled up. But I did enjoy it alot at launch before they added alot of the broken mechanics.
Watching this now that MW3 zombies beta just closed. And it makes me think how far these companies have wandered away from their fan base. It's clear they don't see us as people anymore and rather like to wave a price tag in our face hoping we'd drop a few dollars to feed their ever expanding wallets. Younger me would've never guessed seeing cod switch to the way it is now
I agree completely. Such a simple formula would be easy to keep all they need to do is work on there own story telling but they would rather doll up multiplayer maps to look "zombie like" then qork on a map with lore and Easter eggs to its own story. Truly a shame.
As far as speculation can go, this is objectively on the dot; I mean, people loved BO1- the zombies is often regarded as the greatest of Treyarch's releases. BO2 was a little uncomfortable at first due to being futuristic, but we got used to it; it was fun and familiar. On the contrary, BO3 only survived it's life cycle because of the boots on the ground primus zombies I would like to think- the campaign was atrocious, and the multiplayer was built for the faster paced try-hardy type fans; definitely not for the multiplayer fans who've been playing since WAW. BO4, of which I held my breath on hoping Treyarch would realize that unfamiliarity with their fans leads them to leave, did not dissapoint; it depressed me- I think that's all I have to say there. All I have left to say is, it is truly sad that some people who have no knowledge of business could make better choices than Treyarch has. Then again, I am not taking Activi$ion into account- but oh well.
Yeah, Cold War Zombies was fun to run around. The gameplay’s pretty fun. However, the gameplay isn’t zombies to me at all (just feels like Warzone with AI enemies) and the personality is non-existent. Whether it’s in cutscenes or radios or the characters, the map itself, etc.
Operators in Zombies is just so stupid. You no longer feel connected to the characters because there are nothing memorable about the operators in the new games. Overall, COD zombies has lost its life lost its touch, the story and personality of all the characters added life to the story and made the games memorable even when it wasn't the cast the we all know and love.

I don’t mind playing as someone like Sergeant Frank Woods, but I would like to have the choice to play as a set crew.
i feel like it kind of just devolved back to Verrukt with how the player chars are just random soldiers spowing out unimpressive quotes

Been playing a lot of bo4 with friends lately and there is a lot of funny lines in that game especially tied up in some of the hidden eggs
yeah its kinda meh running with woods screaming how nobody can kill him to the moment where cutscene starts and he becomes a mute

I agree 100% cold war was fun to mindlessly do. But older zombies was a beast of its own. More challenging and just an overall great experience.
