Dude. These maps are so unique and stylized??? Why was this game so hated? I would love to see a ghosts reboot somehow tied into the new timeline (since all of these new games need to be intertwined for some reason)

It's funny to me how people remember the Peacekeeper from BO2. People remember it as some kind of "God Gun" but it was actually super average. Despite being an SMG-AR hybrid, multiple SMGs killed much faster up close and multiple ARs killed faster at range. But I understand that nostalgia plays a big part of that since it was the FIRST DLC weapon in CoD history. The Maverick (the AR at least) was actually an extremely strong weapon that fit in nicely in between the Remington and the AK-12 as one of the hard-hitting ARs. But I wanted to comment for the algorithm as I'm firmly in the camp of being a fan of CoD Ghosts. Was it perfect? No, far from it... But that's true of literally EVERY CoD game. Some are better than others sure, but Ghosts just had some really bad launch maps that were simply too big for 6v6... And we had no "Ground War" (9v9) in Ghosts for some reason. Me personally, when AW released the following year, I played that for maybe a month and then I went back to Ghosts until BO3 released.

Yeah, i dont know what to comment on. Everything you said was perfect. It was the best moment of our lives, the greatest call of duty ever created.

i remember skipping school to play for the clan wars bc i wanted the yellow camo to flex on ppl lmao good times. Extinction was also something special. infected, cranked, specialist, sick dlc maps, camo's, skins and weapons like the maverick and the ripper. Ghosts didn’t deserve all the hate.

You did mention that Tranzit had 3 songs. I just wanted to jump in and say if you can get a copy of BO2 without any of the updates. Basically a launch day version of the game and play it, you can still activate all 3 songs on transit. I remembered this clearly cause for most of BO2s life span i did not have Live. So stuck to Tranzit and remember getting the skrillex one quite often

I actually prefer game with innovation over good gameplay. The people around me never really liked CoD Ghost, but I still think it was an innovative CoD game at the time. The developers really tried something new. Another example would be BO2 zombie with the bus system and all that unique features at the time. It was something innovative although the "fans" hated that zombie map. Despite the bottleneck from the game engine, the developers took the risks to tried something new. Currently, we have the same "fans" that complains about the "recycled" game while they were the one discouraging developers from trying. To be fair, there are other things from the company side that have ruined the game, but the "fans" are too to blame for the downfall. Back then, we were given a game per year to buy. My brother and I would have argument over which game to buy. I still remember regurgitating the features mentioned on a UA-cam video to convince my brother that Cod Ghost will be the most innovative CoD Ghost game at the time. i.e. I talked about how the stones are more defined due to the game engine, multiplayer map that is interactive, the brief case system they had, the guns, the size of the map, and the aliens "extinction". Oh also, the melee animation haha small stuff like that that were unique in my eyes.

This might sound crazy but im ngl i think i watched stuff u posted back in the cod ghost era, i was addicted to this game and stuff around it i watched so many cod ghosts vids from super small channels, if the clip u showed was legitimate footage from then i think i did, i remember watching so many guides for easter eggs and glitches for mp and extinction

This was my first COD when i was like 9 years old on the wii U 😂 I loved playing the game but the DLC wasn't available on wii U 😭 I have so much nostalgia for the game and im gonna buy it and play it on my ps5. I so want a Ghosts 2. I love the simplicity of the menu and HUD compared to modern cods. The guns were all great aswell.

I loved the ghost perk system. With different perks having different costs. It felt more interesting then the usual 3 perk slots.

you never know how great something was truly till its gone. peak cod was an experience, i know there are players who still love and play a ton but nothing will ever replicate the feeling of getting a lobby with your clan vs another clan and the shit talking that ensued lol. i hope all my fellow brothers who played during this time are doing well

I loved call of duty ghost I had a bunch of memories on that game but this game made another call of duty game we didn’t get during that time period get canceled it was called call of duty future warfare it probably would’ve changed call of duty as a whole

I think at this point people were a bit burned out of playing COD non-stop year after year and the only thing we had for comparison were previous CODs which were arguably better. Looking back at it now Ghosts was great, I really loved the campaign too
