Thing is cod zombies has never been a full blown zombie apocalypse situation except for the victis maps in bo2, the rest of the maps from waw, bo1 and bo3 are all small isolated events where the zombies only attack that area, and imo it’s creepier/more interesting. I loved Cold War zombies. After the aether story finished I thought zombies was never going to be the same. But after the release of the first Cold War map “die maschine” (which is now one of my top 5 maps) and playing for a while with freinds I began to warm up to this new zombies.
Cold War Zombies story feels a lot more like an information dump than it does an actual story. There’s no real emotional connection to any of the characters in my opinion.
I feel like this is the way it is because its a soft reboot of the original story. I think the main point of the Dark Aether story in Cold War is to set it up for something greater in future titles, as hinted by Forsaken's ending. While it could have been told better, it did its intended job.
I loved the lore though I guess it was an information dump but not in a bad way though one thing you can’t really do is relate to the characters Edit: except for Peck since he’s actually really relatable
I love your in-game out-of-game thoughts. BO2 still stands as my favorite zombies instillation for this very reason (though, the movement mechanics are definitely out of date now). I know a lot of people complained about the bank, saying it made things too easy, and that's fair - but I freaking love perma perks. I played a game of die rise the other day and I still have longshot (400 points per zombie kill w/ sniper) and perma quick revive. The thought that I could set myself up with the current playing game, for the next played game moved me to play more. Even if there are only a handful of permas worthing getting and keeping.
Yeah that’s something I think a lot of people forget is that BO2 actually is the first CoD zombies to have some form of progression outside of just the individual matches. I personally loved this and think Cold War nailed their progression system. It’s not pay to win at all like some of the other titles *cough cough* BO3/BO4 and you really have to be skilled enough to make it to the higher rounds to get the higher quality aetherium crystals for the higher tier skill upgrades. I’ve never heard anyone make this connection before but this progression system is actually very similar to CoD Ghost extinction mode. You had to grind games to get teeth to buy upgrades that persisted throughout matches. The best upgrades cost more teeth just like in this game. I think Cold War really perfected this model though imo
I know tons of people will not agree with me but I really like Cold War zombies (just being honest) I played more hours of Cold War zombies then any other zombies game in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially getting to whip the next gen console.
some elements of the gameplay are the best weve ever had I probably played it almost as much as bo3. however, my biggest issues were the lack of personality in the maps with no crew, the lack of things to do on maps like side quests, not being able to build a shield or have any quest for specialists and other bolstering items takes away from ingame progression, and the mechanics albeit great had certain elements that made it far too easy for zombies veterans. Zombies for me never really needed to change it had the perfect formula and I feel as though they veered way too much in a certain direction for this game. If they can take the best aspects of cold war and mix it with things from waw-bo3 with some new stuff then thats all Id ever want.
@@rezalmao having said that, I don't mind things like power and pap being more accessible but the player feels way too beefy against the zombies with the armor system
I was pleasantly surprised to hear you bring up out-of-map progression. Honestly the loadouts, gobblegums, kits etc etc. robbed the maps of their identity. I used to remember wanting to pack a punch weapons purely due to the attachments and changes that the upgrades gave you. Maps having exclusive weapons, exclusive perks, exclusive mechanics on-map are what made each map feel unique and different from one another.
I partially agree, I like map-specific stuff but I feel like you should be able to put what you want on weapons and such, instead of being at the mercy of whatever random shit Pack A Punch in games like Bo2 gives you. Although they can still have weapon kits without loadouts or selectable abilities.
I mean I agree with what ur saying but I feel like Cold War did it much better than bo3 in terms of out of map progression. It isn’t luck based and it’s not pay to win. Also it’s just buffs to perks and stuff unlike previous games
I think cold war nailed it. with loadouts and salvage upgrades, even when you're just killing hordes of zombies, you're getting upgrades via salvage for your gun in game, while also levelling the guns up to get xp for new attachments and what not. I love that, so even if I don't feel like doing Easter eggs or whatever, I'm still working towards something. also the apply blueprints feature is huge. I can find an M16 off the wall that might have crappy attachments, but all I have to do is click apply blueprint, and I can instantly put my saved custom mods on it.
Personally, this is my favorite CoD zombies game. I think Bo3 was more well rounded and engaging but the gameplay of Cold War kept me coming back. I agree that it could have been better. It misses a lot of the personality that is in the other games and the story struggled from a rough delivery. Still, this is the most I have ever played and enjoyed a zombies mode. Not perfect by any means, but Cold War is underappreciated imo.
You are 1000% correct. This game kept me playing LOADS. Bo3 was amazing with content and story. But this game even though it didn’t have loads of content was easily some of the most enjoyable. It was SOOOO satisfying to rek hordes of zombies and kill zombies. I loved it.
I like the out of game progression with skills and weapon boosting etc. It means the more you play the further you can progress. It heightens the feeling of improvement and makes the game more addictive. I struggled to get to round 15 on my fresh account but as I levelled things up and earned(important that it’s earned and not spent) the boosts I could find myself in the higher rounds. Great video!!
I love the out of game progression in Cold War. Probably why I spent hundreds of hours on it. So much to work for, so much depth in the upgrades that added whole new features, and makes each run feel worthwhile. I don’t think the whole “having an advantage over newer players” argument works here, since it’s a co-op game. I found it’s great to help newer players or people who just don’t play much, or on public games. It gives better players more tools to carry their less skilled team and teach them how to play. It also means all these really niche and in depth features that upgrades add are slowly introduced so they aren’t overwhelming. It turned a gamemode into a full on game, and I think it’s the best part of Cold War Zombies. I think you should take a fresh objective look at it.
I still havent played cold war, but as someone who likes the progression of bo3 and hated progression in bo4, im curious how id feel about it. Maybe ill pick it up someday. I have like 3000 hours across all of bo3 so it would be interesting
I'm the complete opposite of the point this video is trying to make. I liked how much more they added in BO3 and 4, I feel like Cold War was a downgrade in comparison. It doesn't feel like the Zombies mode that I grew addicted to and really each map in Cold War have less features and things to do as a result. I dread this being the standard for the mode from now on.
This was a very unbiased retrospective, I loved all the points you made about missed opportunity as that is all I felt throughout this past year playing CW zombies. Awesome vid, 10/10
I honestly thought Cold War zombies was a W. All maps were good, Outbreak was fun it shouldn’t have been a main focus in between fire base z and mauer der toten but the updates and quests were good all round based maps were good. The only real issue for me was the huge gap between fire base Z and Mauer der toten dark aether could only do so much for that gap
@@williamsmith-l.4201 theyre still in the outbreak zones during mdt also outbreak is more of a sandbox so who really cares if it's chronological or not
@@Thepre-fixfordeath then why are the rayk die and raygun there then? Also if there is canonically only one why can 4 people have the crbrs and chrysalax?
Its funny how two people can view the same thing so differently, because the "out of game progression" in Cold War single handedly makes it make favorite Zombies hands down!
Zombies was my sole reason for paying Cold War and I had a blast with it. I know a ton of people didn't really care for onslaught but it was pretty good for a more casual weapon leveling experience.
Tbh I'm not gonna be playing much vanguard zombies. Or possibly the next zombies game for that matter, because treyarch will only have 2 years to make the next zombies mode. I haven't lost hope for zombies, we just gotta wait a bit and MAYBE we'll have a zombies game similar to cold war, but has a lot more content
👍 Well-stated bro. Ch0p's kind words on the end are appreciated. He's got alot of class. Him & LEGO are my go-to's for CoD content. Dalek is solid, too.
Dude. I can't even begin to imagine the time and energy you put into this video. I watch all your content regardless but zombies is my shit. You helped me realize some flaws as well as appreciate other things this game had to offer. As well as tickling my nostalgia with flashbacks of old zombies. Thank you for this. Can't wait to see what Vanguard has to offer and what awesome content you'll bring because of it 🤙
Keep playin CW, merc. We'll push Activision to give us Zombie Chronicles 2 & hopefully, Tranzit zones for Outbreak. I own Vanguard & it's Zombies is disgraceful to the franchise. I can't see Vanguard's bundles being as varied & impressive as CW's, either.... the operators are pretty uninspired looking.
very well done. I personally didn’t mind bo4 for the base mechanics but it definitely could have been a lot better. cw salvage is a great addition, and the bosses were somewhat underwhelming. Great video
This video was really informative and helped to reinforce a lot of the things that went heavily underappreciated in zombies this year. I am heavily in agreement that outbreak was one of the things that made zombies so awesome this year and I'm glad people are starting to recognize how great of a feature it is!
Already missing cold war lmao. Vanguard seems like they completely forgot what made cold war good. They went with the outbreak route, and, while it had great potential, they did nothing with it. They put outbreak on a smaller, gray-er, uninteresting map, with 5 cold war perks and 5 cold war field upgrades, with no Easter eggs at all (to my knowledge). Them promising content for season 1 already tells me there won't be another map for a while, and the amount they have to add in two months tell me that it's going to be very lackluster. I'm honestly just going to block vanguard out of my mind for the next year, and hope that the next cod is even slightly enjoyable.
@@Deathmare235 I mean, I much prefer bo1-bo3 zombies over any other, don't get me wrong, but cold war / vanguard is a completely different type of zombies. They are completely different games compared to Waw-Bo4. It's like comparing apples to oranges. So, if I had to choose between this new era of zombies, then im going to choose cold war because it's so much better than vanguard.
Counter point to the lack of difficulty issue: you don’t have to craft the items that saves your ass. You don’t have to have a chopper gunner in your pocket or craft infinite self revives. If you want a sense of difficulty, then don’t make the game any more safe than it already is. I’ve enjoyed role playing like it’s classic zombies; spawning in with the 1911, only three QR purchases, capping perks at 4, and no kill streaks.
I loved the out of game progression in Cold War. Makes your experience differnt as you upgrade and get new items, plus you can level up weapons for multiplayer in zombies too
15:40 - I completely disagree with you regarding OP = Boring. I love how Cold War zombies more or less makes you feel like Darth Vader in the "Hallway scene" in Rogue One. I recently bought Infinite Warfare, but despite it having seemingly very interesting Zombies maps, I unfortunately haven't been able to experience 99% of it, due to the fact that the difficulty level makes me feel like I'm the mouse in a "Black Mamba Live Feeding"-video on UA-cam!
This video was fantastic! Very well scripted and detailed. Newer players to COD Zombies had a very easy time adapting to Cold War Zombies I'm sure. I hope it brought more players to COD Zombies and it's community. I will recommend this video to others!!! I hope you get a lot of views and likes on this video! You deserve it bro!!! Nice work Ch0pper!
I’ve been playing Zombies since World at War and I can honestly say that Cold War’s is my favourite. I have so much fun playing it. I don’t like Outbreak though. I wish we have more round based maps instead of that. I also wish we had dedicated servers because the connection issues are unacceptable. If Vanguard’s rubbish Zombies gets them then Cold War should too.
@@normanbestboi9117 exactly! I liked in Cold War and it wasn’t the main game, like they had outbreak but also round based maps. it did tie in with Easter eggs to canonically to the story which was interesting, however it shouldn’t be the main focuses
I'd like to make a point disagreeing with your point about the level of difficulty. You say in CW there's no in game progression for the player, which in fact there is. That's why this game is so great. For those that thought previous games were too hard, they can load in with a fully kitted loadout. If you wanna start with a base 1911, you can.
Uhm… like how… other than a battle pass there is no progression or reward to cw zombies. Literally just get the wonder weapon and full perks and you’re done and bored
@@n3vr-pull-out456 ? That’s literally every zombies map. Get your load out and perks and you’re done, you can either do the Easter egg or just survive. Only difference is… now you aren’t forced to do the Easter egg in order to survive… Oh noooooooo….. if you think being able to load the game with an smg or ar “removes” progression, that just means you aren’t able to have self control and force yourself to load with a pistol, or if you want real “hardcore” zombies, melee. Loading in with a kit literally just made getting camos easier. Really don’t see anything wrong with that.
As someone who cannot afford to buy DLC for games, it was such a blessing for Cold War to half all free maps. I missed out on all of BO3’s DLC maps, even The Giant, because they were blocked by a paywall. I don’t care if CW’s maps aren’t anything special, having the ability to choose what I want to play instead of being stuck with just Shadows of Evil or just IX for three and two years respectively.
Honestly, how you said that this revitalized your love of zombies is how AEW revitalized my love of wrestling. All the round based maps were fun and outbreak is legitimately what I didn't know I needed in a COD zombies game ✌️
I guess I'm a legend, because I watched the whole video. And your a legend for putting this video together. I know this took so long to write up and edit. That's a lot of hard work and it was honestly the best video I watched all week on UA-cam. Nice work bro
I think the issues came from the reused content. Most of the content was directly taken from campaign. Then ontop of that, they broke the old progression of zombies. Out of game upgrades were a huge issue. At first it was solid but in the long run it keeps people from playing, since theres nothing to upgrade in the match except your loadout. The progression from pistol to lmg was broken. Zombies was built on the concept of player progression through weapons ,perks and pack a punch. You begin with a pistol, you seek a better weapon, then you seek perks and pack a punch. Even after your weapons are as strong as they can be, they still become useless after so long. Cold war removes all that progression. Players just buy jug then the other perks at wunderfizz. Players start with the gun they intend to use the whole game. And weapons always kill decently forever. They focused on making it easy, now if they make it hard, everyone will complain since they built an audience on an easy zombies experience.
The only thing I don't like about Cold War is the mystery box is pointless with the ability to bring in upgraded weapons from the start. Other than that I love it.
Dude I love this video I cannot agree more about the difficulty needing a Mr. Rofflewaffles tutorial. And basically everything else you said about bo4 😂 and honestly everything you said about outbreak as well as everything you said about Cold War was spot on too. The fact that you have been playing since the beginning is evident. Much love chopper you are a legend.
I absolutely loved Cold War zombies, I recently tried to play the aether storyline but found the older games to be a little too hard, cut to me on CW zombies going to round 50 by myself. It was easy enough for someone like me to be able to play and the story was really fun
I enjoyed how well you talked about Legion. I 100% agree that this is one of the best boss fights ever. It CERTAINLY does not beat Mephistopheles, but what they did with Legion, you HAD to be prepped, you had to be quick, and you had to be communicative when playing with a team. It’s so crazy that this giant tempest man is harder to kill than The Forsaken.
The best point you give is about the in-game progression. Zombies is the BEST when you have no loadout and must empower yourself in the match. I believe the best next step would be to drastically improve the vanguard perk tier system and combine it with the upgrade system in Cold War. Each perk could have three tiers that you buy in game, just like PaP, and would have the same upgrades that the crystal system gives. That way when you buy stamin-up, for example, you run faster but it won't be fully upgraded till you buy all tiers and THEN you can run unlimited and have no fall damage. I think this would give players a better in-game progression and increase the fun overall. Great video
I know I’m late but….. well said Chooper! Cold War made me fall in love with Zombies again also!! I’m an old man OG zombies guy and this game was a fresh breath of fresh air that helped me survive the pandemic. My only complaint is that they should of kept building on Outbreak and the fact that Vanguard zombies is complete shit
I think people are missing the fact that every map is basically a reused section from the campaign. This limits creativity tremendously and makes the game feel uninspired. 0 heart anymore. The hud, perks, and healthbar also bring it down.
The retrospective video is awesome as hell, whoever made that thumbnail is must very talented and must be credited and i need a no text version to make it into my wallpaper
THANK YOU for the EE explanation. I try to explain this to people all the time when I say I hate BO3 zombies and BO2 was the last good zombies. BO3 started going into the "quest" realm, and tbh guys, hearing this explanation makes it sound like a raid in an MMO. Old School zombies had little to no focus on the EE, and there was no quest. Everything after BO2 is just as complicated as a Destiny raid w/ 0 payoff.
I just started playing cold war zombies last week and honestly I love it, I hadn't played since bo3 and I'm impressed. I loved the movement and its fluidity but I can't deny that it's pretty easy but I feel like that makes it more fun to me. And I already did all the easter eggs apart from fire base z with a friend and it was fun!!! Especially fun seeing Ghostface in the cutscenes 😂 But tbf my favourite thing is that you can extract, like I can say yes I won I did this and got out you can't take me down its a nice feeling. Lastly I kinda would love bo3 character skins but they'd probably cost a months wages 😅 Thanks for listening to my Ted talk
I couldn't do BO4 zombies as the quests seemed to require much more rote memorization than CW, and the movement bob of characters of BO4 is headache inducing. The puzzles of CW are just the right difficulty if you prefer the satisfaction of completion over the initial journey of discovery. In this case, Treyarch made a decision that enhances replayability over the aesthetic and creative risks that other installments made. On another note, I love the Outbreak modes. It feels like a fleshed out Asylum in BO4 Blackout mode. However, I'm suprised more commenters don't admonish Onslaught since you lose agency / fairness when all of your drops are random then stolen by other players.
Cold War Zombies and outbreak specifically will always have a top spot on my zombies list. Maybe it’s me, but I feel like CW Zombies maps are bigger than maps in past games that I like.
I think cold wars biggest problem is lack of identity/theme/personality and what’s there is boring. This is true for the maps, story, characters, etc. Some stuff has potential, but doesn’t reach the fullest potential.
Got to end, thanks for making this. I like your content bc it’s brutally honest, both as a fan of the game but also as a critical expert, so bigs up to you, man. My go-to source on zombies
So I didn’t want to watch a super long video but glad i did. Very good unbiased view of the game, zombie maps, load-outs and actually playability. I think we all needed this version of zombies to reset the baseline. After the overall continued build up of easter egg complexity over the last two blackops, CW gives every player the chance to complete these EEs, while still making it a challenge to complete the same at higher rounds. Hey and an honorable mention to the new exfill option CW brought to the table.
I'm a new player to Cold War Zombies. Been playing for a month. It's funny watching all the year old content on youtube. I play casually, an hour or two every couple days. I have barely been able to survive past round 12 solo let alone chase down an easter egg. I play the game because its fun and a great stress reliever for a busy day. This game actually brought me back to COD. I stopped trying years and years ago due to motion sickness. Then, randomly over thanksgiving I had a friend tell me about this Zombies game and showed me the Video settings to help with motion sickness. I have been playing this game ever since. Maybe one day I will be good enough to chase one of these "Easter eggs" but for now, I am just trying to get an exfil past level 11. It almost seems like there needs to be 2 game modes. Mode 1 for us casual folk who just wanna shoot stuff lol, and Mode 2 for all the pro's who find all the tricks in a couple hours.
I honestly love Cold War zombies. Started in BO1, got good in BO2, and was 17 when I could afford the juggernog edition of black ops 3 (thank you local small town grocery store). I can honestly say, Cold War zombies is on par with any zombies experience to date. I was impressed, then bored, but now ultimately almost every day I think about playing it. I really loved the improvements they made

some elements of the gameplay are the best weve ever had I probably played it almost as much as bo3. however, my biggest issues were the lack of personality in the maps with no crew, the lack of things to do on maps like side quests, not being able to build a shield or have any quest for specialists and other bolstering items takes away from ingame progression, and the mechanics albeit great had certain elements that made it far too easy for zombies veterans. Zombies for me never really needed to change it had the perfect formula and I feel as though they veered way too much in a certain direction for this game. If they can take the best aspects of cold war and mix it with things from waw-bo3 with some new stuff then thats all Id ever want.

I loved it.
I felt the same way bro!!!! Ending cold war's life cycle with 12-14 days in zombies
Especially after the dumpster fire that came out a few days ago
Agreed I've literally never spent more time on a zombies game that I did on Cold war
@@jameslindbackyt yep, its relaxing but challenging at times, if you don't use attachments its alot more fun sometimes.
Me and my buddy played SO MUCH Outbreak. It was my favorite form of Zombies since World At War. Absolutely loved it.
Facts i agree not 1 map was bad or easy they all had good map design
That gap killed the season for me and my friends

Its funny how two people can view the same thing so differently, because the "out of game progression" in Cold War single handedly makes it make favorite Zombies hands down!
Zombies was my sole reason for paying Cold War and I had a blast with it.
I know a ton of people didn't really care for onslaught but it was pretty good for a more casual weapon leveling experience.
As usual, you owned it Chop!
Honestly I’ll never stop playing this zombies. Also hope people don’t give up on it when vanguard starts up. Great video 🙏
This aged pretty well since vanguard zombies was the worst game I've ever played
Vanguard made me go back to Cold War and appreciate it more
@@knockedtfout5333 I bought Cold War again over buying vanguard. It has some good aspects to it like voting but it’s stale
Outbreak was my favorite. It felt good to use the pelington and snipe zombies, "wild game", and clear areas. It was a fun edition overall
Chop this will be the movie I watch tonight, jus know I love you bro and you’re goated for doing this much work for this!
👍 Well-stated bro. Ch0p's kind words on the end are appreciated. He's got alot of class. Him & LEGO are my go-to's for CoD content. Dalek is solid, too.
Most people only hate Cold War because UA-cam told them to. Always nice to see CW Zombies getting love.
Dude. I can't even begin to imagine the time and energy you put into this video. I watch all your content regardless but zombies is my shit. You helped me realize some flaws as well as appreciate other things this game had to offer. As well as tickling my nostalgia with flashbacks of old zombies. Thank you for this. Can't wait to see what Vanguard has to offer and what awesome content you'll bring because of it 🤙
P Diddy joke made me check the post date lmaoo
There's more content in this video than all of vanguard zombies. 100% agree on your points here.
I agree, at least with vanguards failure we have another year to play Cold War zombies 😂
Vanguard isn’t even zombies if you’re missing cw then you’re definitely not playing actual zombies
@@Deathmare235 or maybe you are being a gatekeeper, and thoughts on zombies is subjective, so people can enjoy what they like
@@ok-this-is-epic6613 vanguard isn’t zombies though I’m not the only one
They just need a clasic mode and a casual mode
Crazy how much you've grown since back when we first started hope it never stops bro

A whole year in one hour kinda cracked ngl
I loved the out of game progression in Cold War. Makes your experience differnt as you upgrade and get new items, plus you can level up weapons for multiplayer in zombies too
This covered everything about Cold War zombies and I loved it! Great video :)
Bo4 story and maps was underrated. I’m probably one of the few who thinks this

Outbreak is one of the most underrated maps/mode of all zombies
Its fun as its own gamemode but what they did in vanguard is unacceptable
@@normanbestboi9117 exactly! I liked in Cold War and it wasn’t the main game, like they had outbreak but also round based maps. it did tie in with Easter eggs to canonically to the story which was interesting, however it shouldn’t be the main focuses

I'd like to make a point disagreeing with your point about the level of difficulty. You say in CW there's no in game progression for the player, which in fact there is. That's why this game is so great. For those that thought previous games were too hard, they can load in with a fully kitted loadout. If you wanna start with a base 1911, you can.
Imho, In game progression 100% for the player exists in CW, it's just different then how it was established before
Uhm… like how… other than a battle pass there is no progression or reward to cw zombies. Literally just get the wonder weapon and full perks and you’re done and bored
@@n3vr-pull-out456 yep
@@n3vr-pull-out456 ? That’s literally every zombies map.
Get your load out and perks and you’re done, you can either do the Easter egg or just survive. Only difference is… now you aren’t forced to do the Easter egg in order to survive…
Oh noooooooo….. if you think being able to load the game with an smg or ar “removes” progression, that just means you aren’t able to have self control and force yourself to load with a pistol, or if you want real “hardcore” zombies, melee.
Loading in with a kit literally just made getting camos easier. Really don’t see anything wrong with that.
@WeinerTouchy they just need 2 modes easy (with loadouts and salvage) and classic
HE KNEW BRO HE HAD TO KNOW THE DIDDY NAME DROP
Honestly, how you said that this revitalized your love of zombies is how AEW revitalized my love of wrestling. All the round based maps were fun and outbreak is legitimately what I didn't know I needed in a COD zombies game ✌️
Ah a fellow CoD and Wrestling fan
I guess I'm a legend, because I watched the whole video. And your a legend for putting this video together. I know this took so long to write up and edit. That's a lot of hard work and it was honestly the best video I watched all week on UA-cam. Nice work bro
I never did either of the CW Outbreak Main Quests.. I essentially gave up on CW after Firebase Z.
Other than that I love it.
the best break down of CW ive seen so far
Dude I love this video I cannot agree more about the difficulty needing a Mr. Rofflewaffles tutorial. And basically everything else you said about bo4 😂 and honestly everything you said about outbreak as well as everything you said about Cold War was spot on too. The fact that you have been playing since the beginning is evident. Much love chopper you are a legend.
Bocw was and still underrated a lot. To me it was a really good game.
I absolutely loved Cold War zombies,
I recently tried to play the aether storyline but found the older games to be a little too hard, cut to me on CW zombies going to round 50 by myself.
Cold War Zombies was the greatest COD for me. Beat every Easter Egg with the exception of Legion. Legion was and still is too much.
Ngl it was my favorite zombies
Unlike some cod zombies where it’s only a 69 step fetch quest
I LOVED CoD CW Zombies, and I think that this was the perfect formula for Zombies.
Bravo my good sir
The retrospective video is awesome as hell, whoever made that thumbnail is must very talented and must be credited and i need a no text version to make it into my wallpaper
i really liked the bocw zombies, they made them more rpg-like or roguelike, I wish there was more progression
"While MrRoflWaffles tells you where the wonder weapon is" that killed me lmao
I started watching and just couldn’t stop
6:39 this reference did not age well 💀
I just started playing cold war zombies last week and honestly I love it, I hadn't played since bo3 and I'm impressed.
I loved the movement and its fluidity but I can't deny that it's pretty easy but I feel like that makes it more fun to me.
And I already did all the easter eggs apart from fire base z with a friend and it was fun!!! Especially fun seeing Ghostface in the cutscenes 😂
But tbf my favourite thing is that you can extract, like I can say yes I won I did this and got out you can't take me down its a nice feeling.
Lastly I kinda would love bo3 character skins but they'd probably cost a months wages 😅
Thanks for listening to my Ted talk

It’s tough theirs not more views on this, but I’m happy I can provide another one. Great video chop
Idea: Outbreak should have exclusive wonder weapons in specific maps.
MrRoflWaffles really did carry BO3 zombies. Half of us would have no idea what to do without him
39:48 Is that the new chad meme I see?
I felt like the maps were smaller especially compared to something like bo4
@@Deathmare235 either way, outbreak is good.

I think cold wars biggest problem is lack of identity/theme/personality and what’s there is boring. This is true for the maps, story, characters, etc.
Some stuff has potential, but doesn’t reach the fullest potential.
Honestly this is one of the only zombies I enjoyed, and it's exactly because it's simple.
Ima say it ….. they didn’t miss with one nap BUT the content release was outrageous
Cold War Zombies was great. How the perks and weapons were setup, that is the standard all future Zombies needs to follow
Cold War zombies was honestly SUCH A FREAKING BLAST

6:47 well there is the added difficulty of there being baby oil on every surface
after watching your vanguard zombies review this one was much better
So I didn’t want to watch a super long video but glad i did. Very good unbiased view of the game, zombie maps, load-outs and actually playability. I think we all needed this version of zombies to reset the baseline. After the overall continued build up of easter egg complexity over the last two blackops, CW gives every player the chance to complete these EEs, while still making it a challenge to complete the same at higher rounds. Hey and an honorable mention to the new exfill option CW brought to the table.
Nice one Chopper, CW been a ride. Looking forward to Vanguard!...
I can’t wait for vanguard’s zombies actual launch
