Thank you for this video. As a fellow curly, who never uses styling products, I get really overwelmed by all the products and the techniques etc. So thank you for showing the world that we don't need all that product. Curly hair is fabulous anyway!
Konstantina Ts. Can I ask what type of hair you have? Like curl type and if it’s damaged at all? My hair is super healthy (rarely use heat and no dyes or bleach) but it’s still frizzy even with products. I’d love to give my wallet a break!
Kiera Frost Hi! I have 2c-3b curls (I think!) and my hair is also really healthy. No dyes, no heat damage, no split ends. Also, it is baby fine. Since I am from Greece, I can't find lots of hair products that are specifically for curls. I use a sulfate-free shampoo and a silicone-free conditioner. Anyones I can find. Also, dry shampoo for the days between wash days, because my scalp is oily. Rarely, I will use a styler. A gel or a mousse. Gels have food hold, but, in general, I hate the feel. So I go product free. I have a little bit of frizz, but I don't mind. I find it that healthy hair doesn't frizz as much as damaged hair. But, I think, a light-hold gel will help you with that. Hope this was helpful!
I never use styling products and found out they exist recently. Tried to shop them online and realized the shipping cost is twice the actual amount. So i still go product free. I use a sulfate shampoo ( i prefer my scalp to be clean. Sulfate free shampoo left my scalp oily and i didnt like it ) and a silicon free curly grl friendly conditioner. I scrunch a bit of coconut oil into my hair after the shower. And it helps with the frizz.
This is really simple to do. If one natural product could be used then I recommend using organic jojoba oil on damp hair to help reduce frizz. It also helps with a natural glow.
I still can't find someone with hair that looks like mine... Her hair is pretty much the closest to my hair though. Also I my curls are a little bit looser than her's and this was helpful. I'm pretty positive that my curls are naturally looser but I also think they are a little looser than they should be because I'm still learning how to take care of my curly hair.

Love it! After years of fighting my hair, thinking it was straight but just unruly and uncooperative, I've finally realized I have wavy hair! My hair naturally forms these curls but I've always just brushed everything out while it's wet. Trying to start developing my curls now with the scrunching and curl defining shampoo/conditioner. I'm just glad I finally have an explanation for why my hair always tangles so easily and why my new growth could never be tamed.
this video changed my hair life. i can still "do" my hair with product and diffusing if i feel like it, but a no product curly hair routine that still brings me a good hair day/week is FREEDOM. thank you.
I tried this method today. Never knew my hair would look good without any product. I followed all the steps as mentioned in this video and loved the result. Thank you so much Dana! x
Oh my god.. this is exactly what I do.. I don't use any products for my curls. Just add lil bit of oil while scrunching my wet curls and they come out perfect.
Same here i am just a month or two to cgm. Ihave thin hair so using product make my hair look low on volume and thin..i use serum post hairs ar dry lightly instead of oil..they look great..
I've always had super frizzy hair with some corkscrews, but I've always cared for my hair like one cares for straight hair, which I think is why it's so frizzy! Thanks for this!
Your hair is insanely gorgeous, I’ll definitely try this routine out. How did you get your hair to grow so fast? My hair has gotten long but it shrinks up so much. Thank you!
Your hair looks amaaazing and so pretty! No product looks great. I’m more of a barely there wavy 2a/2b naturally and I never use product because it makes me funky and tangled up usually.
I tried this today and my hair looks great! How do you keep your curls from getting frizzy and fuzzy without using products on second, third, fourth-day hair? I'm nervous to see what it's going to look like when I wake up and I would love to know how you maintain the definition without products.

I dunno exactly how your hair is, but I only wash twice a week, and I don't use conditioner anymore (six months woo!) Omg your hair is so healthy! You look stunning ! I wish I could air dry without product one day.... This is really helpful, I used to use Ouidad ...perhaps I go back
I’m trying this for the first time. Just took my hair out of the towel and I must say, it is not even CLOSE to being as frizzy as it normally is in this stage. My waves/curls (idk which hair type I have yet cause I never used to try to add definition to my hair) are looking pretty similar to how hers looked after she took her hair out of the towel, so there’s hope. I’ll update once it dries completely!😊
I thought I was the only one giving my hair a break from products this summer. Heck I'm in the mood where I don't even care if it's frizzy! The main key is to not touch it at all while it's drying. Some crocs might be there but it's alright.
I thought i have long hair but i wanna have hair length just like yours!!! love it !!! I finally got a routine where i dont have to use the products, thank you soo much
Going to try this but don't have much faith in it! I tend to leave some conditioner in my hair already then add leave in and a bunch of styling products on top of that...still get some frizz if I am not super careful and don't cover all strands of hair. But it will be worth experimenting because of all the time it could potentially save in the morning.
What I love the most about Your channel is that you try so many different ways to dry and style your hair, it keeps curly hair exiting and fun. I want to try the no product method already :)

But I’m also the same with my hair, I love not having products in it, I love it when it feels more soft and flowy in a way. I’ve also been doing the same, washing only a little if the conditioner and leaving the rest in!! So super cool that you do the same !! Alssoooooo seeing that your hair looks so good with bangssss!! I’ve been wanting them so bad but was always afraid with the curls, but seeing yours give me a better idea of what it would look like and I freakin love it. 😍😍😍

i have type 1 hair. i have my hair up in the shirt right now and it’s most likely going to be straight because i had a difficult time crunching it and i did a lot of crunching lol. can type 1 hair curl? do u have any tips so maybe it can curl a little? update: it only was a little wavy but mainly straight and my roots were a little wavy.
Thank you for this tutorial! Although I'm afraid my hair won't look as good as yours without products, I will be trying this out and it was funny to watch :) (my sympathies as a fellow clumsy girl)
Was wondering do u use these quidad products alot? I have been using deva loo po and one conditioner and my hair is so dry. I need a new routine. What shampoo and conditioner do use most. My hair texture is so similar. Thank u
Fyi I used devacurl low poo delight for 2 months this summer and lost a significant amount of density plus my hairline was affected. Not everyone has had a problem but if you noticed an abnormal amount of hair loss while in the shower you might want to consider stop using it
Tara ized - I’m not sure if you have already, but if you check out Cracking The Curl Code with The Curl Ninja (Stephanie Mero’s channel) she has info regarding DevaCurl and hair loss! Hope it helps xx
Oh wow so beautiful!! Does it come out looking the same when you style it in the shower? Also, please can you review Mofajang temp colour hair wax? 🙏 Love from South Africa. 💕
Did not think this would work for me but thought I’d try it out. OMG! I LOVE how my hair feels and looks. It’s still a work in progress but I love that I can go longer without washing my hair, and I don’t have that the horrible product buildup (hair gunkies). Do you find any difference between conditioners? And Is there a conditioner that you prefer using over others?
Hi Dana! I’m in desperate need of a haircut and I’ve been trying to decide whether or not to try the deva cut. Have you ever gotten one/would you recommend? Also, what do you ask for when getting a haircut? I’ve never gotten a dry haircut, I’ve always just gotten a wet haircut since I didn’t know any better 😩 any tips would be much appreciated!
You really do have the most beautiful hair!!! Question... does the curls last a few days or you end up doing lots of “dos” so you don’t have to wash it too frequently?
Christina Rajan my hair actually retains definition surprisingly well doing this! I’ll throw an oil or something in day 2-3 but I don’t have to wash more often 😊
I like my curls to be elongated, so I wonder if I should really do all that scrunching. But then again my hair is a frizzy mess. Maybe if I scrunch it itll be less frizzy, or does scrunching help only with the texture/wave pattern?
I tried And worked it hehe thaaankssss we have same hair type but mine is shorter, I just noticed a few frizz and I want to know how you air dry with this routine, if you flip your hair over or just let it down or plop more, will be helpful for me and again thank youuu!!!
I'm 17, I have curly hair and started "trying" to curl my hair because I stopped my mom from straightening it. I don't know anything, I would much appreciate tips. I only have one Shea moisture cream. My hair has heat damage and it is very long to my butt.
Hey!! Even i straightened my hair permanently, i.e rebounding. So just like u my hair was damaged by heat. So i waited my natural hair to grow back and then i Chucked all my straight and damaged hair, and started with this curly hair routine.
Hi Dana..plz suggest like we don't wash hair daily n after combing the hair won't have this curly texture so how to maintain the curl texture throughout the week!!!! I hope u reply!

At what point do you brush your hair?
My hair won’t ever dry when I do the wet styling. But it doesn’t look anything like yours when I just air dry.
I’ve been doing damp styling but my hair has a mind of its own
Glad I fun tho tutorial, trying I tomorrow! Not sure if itll work because my hair gets incredibly frizzy, but either way, it'll be fun to try :)
I subscribe for the hairs cuz they’re goals 🙌🏻
when i scruch my hair alot it tends to get frizzy more than when i just scruch a couple of times.
any tips? because i really want this washday to work since it will save time and product.
magistic maya that’s why I was soaking my hair so much. The more water you use while scrunching it will help to clump the hair and help fight frizz 😊
@@DanaGagliotti thank you so much! i will definitely try it and see what happens :)
i love your videos! just binged a lot of them and they are very helpful and informative! thank you so much ❤️
@@DanaGagliotti Actually tried it today finally and my hair turned out great!
Thanks Dana :)
i have type 1 hair. i have my hair up in the shirt right now and it’s most likely going to be straight because i had a difficult time crunching it and i did a lot of crunching lol. can type 1 hair curl? do u have any tips so maybe it can curl a little? update: it only was a little wavy but mainly straight and my roots were a little wavy.
Step one : Have any curl type that is not 3a or higher
Step Two: Have naturally beautiful long hair
Step Three: Envy her in silence >.
Thank you for this tutorial! Although I'm afraid my hair won't look as good as yours without products, I will be trying this out and it was funny to watch :) (my sympathies as a fellow clumsy girl)
give it a shot! haha thank you, you understand the struggle 😂
Did it work?
Was wondering do u use these quidad products alot? I have been using deva loo po and one conditioner and my hair is so dry. I need a new routine. What shampoo and conditioner do use most. My hair texture is so similar. Thank u
I do like this pair a lot but I also have been using a lot of NYM's shampoo and conditioners lately! I'm going to do an updated favorites soon :)
Hi dana I just left u a message on Instagram.
I'm just catching up with all this devacurl drama 😫
I highly recommend to pay attention to the "pH level" of your products.
Just tried it! I’ll update you guys if it works for my hair type. I have kinda huge wavy ish hair and it’s really thick
Oh wow so beautiful!! Does it come out looking the same when you style it in the shower? Also, please can you review Mofajang temp colour hair wax? 🙏 Love from South Africa. 💕
Someone with 3C-4C hair needs to try this and let me know the results
OH my goodness that hair!!!!!!
Hey do you know how to restore curly hair? My hair has always been curly and now it’s turning wavy (I don’t use heat on my hair at all ).
Would a spray bottle help? Beautiful curls!
Hi Dana..plz suggest like we don't wash hair daily n after combing the hair won't have this curly texture so how to maintain the curl texture throughout the week!!!! I hope u reply!
Such an inspiration 😍😍☀️
Wow! That is stunning hair.
Thanks for this video!!! I'm gonna try this soon
