I followed your tips and for the first time in 17 years my mom complimented my hair
okay YES this is the energy
Jayme Jo that is so sad
I’m waiting on mine!
It worked for you? What kind of hair you have? If you don't mind me asking:(
your hair isn’t the problem
your mom is
People can't believe she is naturally beautiful because they feel insecure about themselves.. Everybody is beautiful, another woman's beauty is not the absence of your own.
Why do ppl always put down hair that is frizzy and multi textured hair. Black women have bern trying to live up to this eurocentric idea of hair forever. And Im so over it. Women of color dont usually have hair like this and their hair is beautiful too. This is not the standard of beauty for most women
@@allisonjayetv3297 How did race come into this???????
kim kim that was so well stated, more people need to hear that
Amennn preach it sis
@@mariahetszaz8567 lol this is the curl community, since about half of curl types are pretty much only found in black girls, it's pretty obvious. there is a lot of discrimination against black girls for wearing their natural type 4 hair hair, the eurocentric ideal of beauty emphasises straight glossy hair, thats a very real thing.
A lot of beginners have misunderstood this routine. She's been a natural for 4 years so her natural curls are super healthy. If you're someone just beginning don't feel bad about your hair not turning out the same way. Frizzy hair is natural if you're just starting out. Patience is all it is and you hair will look as amazing as Jayme😍
Ive been a natural myself for the Same amount of years as her but when i don't use any product my hair is frizzy oily and just disgusting so I've no choice but to always purchase and use products
Exactly !!!! 😀
I used to have nice curls patterns, but for the past few years I've been straightening it and I lost my curls and it's ugly straight in some places now..can you plz tell me where and how to start to get back my curls? Is it even possible? :(
Idk what's my hair type or anything about curls 🙈 who should I watch
@@amyonherrectangulardevizz9129 I don't want to self promote but I have this routine on my insta and I think it could help you because I have damaged hair too. It's 'sambhavi_shri'. You could dm me too and I could help you out :)

I'd kill to have hair like that
Without product my curls are too soft and aren't defined and turn into a fluff. I also have 3b hair.😔🤷🏽♀️
try this out! one normally doesn't last long either and goes fluffy but this really helps x

this is exactly what i need i just had a mental breakdown and cried because mousse was running down my arms.

Halima, The Creator mousse its a styling product
@@catdog3379 How did u have a mental breakdown because of mousse? 😭
Halima, The Creator because i have sensory processing disorder but any product running down ur arms is gross
I don’t see how people could be so ignorant and deny that your hair is curly. They are probably envious because your hair is Goals!!!
leverone sarah whaaaat her hair is so curly. I don‘t understand is as well. People call my hair curly and it’s wavy. 😂

@@johanna-7817 actually 2a, 2b and 2c is a curl pattern, and its what we call wavy hair. So yea, wavy hair is curly hair.
This is such a good video! Curly hair is so expensive to take care of and the products don’t always work :(
exactly! hope this helps x
i honestly have no clue what my hair type is, some parts are nearly pin straight, some a extremely wavy then some towards the bottom turn into ringlets, usually turns straight will try this out xxx your beautiful
Sienna Bullen maybe because your hair is to heavy?
I'm suffering with this problem too. I really don't know what to do..
Naomi I had that to but then I had really long hair and cut it. Best thing I ever did. (Btw maybe your using creams and stuff. Those are also hella heavy.)
@@hellopeople744 I have shoulder-length but kinda dense/coarse hair and, yeah I think you're right, because I started the CGM 2 months ago using Shea Moisture but I find it ineffective and likely just weighing my hair down. I'm about to try Not Your Mothers since I hear that's lighter.
Naomi yeah it’s also to heavy for my hair and I started using A LOT less and using more foams etc. And now my hair is also curly at the top
yes girl i haaaate the feeling of water running down my back i have to have a towel around my shoulders and i hate putting clothes on when my skin is wet ugh
btw you are so beautiful i love your hair i actually have 3b 3c hair but most of your routines work for my hair like that flaxseed jell you made love it thnk you so much for the videos

Alana Miles omg same lol
I used to cringe when I saw hair routines from UA-camrs who would wear a tank top styling their soaking wet hair in front of the camera with water and product dripping all over their body like it’s normal 🫣
Could literally NEVER do this my hair is so fluffy and frizzy without product😂

We’re all gonna get some nice curls and wear them to our living room and kitchen. #quarantinelife 😭
Looool me right now .. i ve been admiring my curls just right now in the mirror while i was hiding to chill in front of the tv
Lol very trueee... but atleast we’re all learning new hair curl styling techniques until things go back to normal 🤷🏻♀️
I make my hair look nice for what, to watch Netflix??💀😪
shreksstoee ._ I mean at least you’ll look good for the FBI that’s watching you through your laptop-
I was just admiring her beauty the whole video
If my hair looked this good without products, I would never use them!
Using the right products over time will help you style your hair without styling products especially if you ‘ve washed, hydrate your hair with a conditioner and not rinsing the entire conditioner out.

There is NOTHING worse than wet thick twists slapping on your back, and it's worse with product in hahah!

Just wow. Imagine your hair being this healthy. Mashallah 🥺
how do you get your curls to stay separated after you pull them apart, mine always clump back together and I look like I have just 4 big curls in either side of my head.
Charlotte Carter haha that happens to me all the time
I used to have this problem before I got lots of layers cut into my hair! Totally changed the game, now I have tons of smaller ringlets.
Omg same!
This is perfect for the whole quarantine situation. Gives me a break from using products in my hair! Tbh im only walking to my living room so who cares if there's some frizz LOL
I love your rosary necklace. Its very delicate and pretty. Also it's nice to see your cross in the videos, I know a lot of people don't like to show anything that has to do with religion
thank you! means a lot
@@jaymejo your welcome😊 love your content a ton.
People always say that religion is private thing. But also our lifes are private thing and most of us post about them on social media.
Yess! The necklace is so pretty and it's great to see a youtuber who isn't afraid to show their religion.
I have 3c - 4b curls and I tried your routine. My hair never looked better. It didn't last as long, but the bounce, volume, and definition was EVERYTHING
OMG I HAVE LIKE 3C HAIR TOO!, AND BC OF THIS COMMENT IMA TRY THIS OUT🤭💕
my hair actually looks MUCH better without products, I tried this method out several times and my hair turned out to look much healthier! Thank you 💜
I've been doing this for the past 2 weeks and I'm soooo in love with my hair 😭 I do this every wash day and if I want it to last, I use castor oil styling gel 😊
Ur hair is literally what I aspire my hair to look like some day!! 😍 hair goals af
I’ve got 2b/2c curls and I kinda hate it. When I air dry my hair they get so frizzy. Most of the time my hair doesn’t even stay curly either. If I touch my hair/sleep on it my curls go flat and get even frizzier. I wish I had 3a/3b curls like Jayme. Her hair is so pretty and well defined. If I have to have curly hair, I want my hair to look like hers.
I feel you girl... Same problem here. I've got mostly 2b-2c hair (and some 3a pieces that I really cherish but obviously they are where nobody can see them and are gone on day 2 haha) and that's the problem with wavy hair: it just doesn't last. It doesn't have a good hold and definition naturally. Personally, I still didn't find a product that makes my hair look good right after the drying process. I always have to do a curl by curl "definition process" with a gel to really get those curls to pop. But obviously, more definition means less volume and also the next day it's already freezy and curls are loose.
Wavy hair is a struggle... it's neither pin-straight nor actually curly.
i have 3a-3b hair and i personally think type 2/wavy hair is GORGEOUS! Try using shea moisture smoothies, they’re great! deep condition helps, and wash your hair upside down. have you tried watching videos about type 2 hair? it would really help you! :) i’m sure ur hair is beautiful either way ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@Tooma Massawi sameeee😩 it's not like I hate any specific texture...I had hip length crazy straight (. I am south Asian) but it started to get really really bad 2 years back when I got a haircut (it was elbow length) half of it fell down the rest is very very frizzy and I have failed at the cgm gonna start taking care of my hair a slightly different way from tomorrow
I’ve got 3a hair, but I struggle with frizz and lack of volume😭 I’m trying this tomorrow and seeing what it does; I’ll come back to you and tell you how it worked! This should work for 2c curls , just slightly looser curls x
I've got 2c curls and i can't deal with it 😞
Thank you so much for all the love and effort you put in your channel!! You are such a big inspiration to me, my hair has been looking really good lately using your routines. Thank you!!!❤❤
ur saving my life jayme ! btw i can't get enough of your makeup it is so pretty !! stay safe :)

Omg your hair looks so healthy and soft without products in it! Definitely evidence of how well you take care of your hair
You’ve actually helped me so much more then you can imagine, thanks 🙏
Your videos have helped me so much. I’ve started scrunching my hair when rinsing out shampoo and conditioner and my curls have been looking so much better ❤️😊❤️
Your Do's and Donts video helped me so much! I realized I'm putting too much products in my roots (not as dramatic as the video but still way too much!) and I realized I'm ignoring the back/crown of my hair! Thank you so so much!!❤️
perfect time to try this while we are home!! love this video!!
omg i love your video and i have been waiting for it 😍 your curly hair is amazing i ♥️ u. early?
Thanks for everything that u do for us, we love you girl 💖✨
Love this, Jayme! Beautiful results! I need to try this which I haven't done in a while.
Her beauty is on a different level. Beautiful curls too!
the ends of my hair look identical to yours, but I can never get my roots to curl up no matter what products I use/how much I scrunch. They're always wavy at best
Same
My roots are wavy
But at the ends it's perfect
🤷♀️
Missy Maddie yeh same
Me too girl :(
I think it's because the roots are pulled down by the weight of the hair and the longer the hair the more this will happen so maybe you can try deffusing the letting the hair sit in the diffuser so that the roots won't be pulled down
I have this problem too. I find that it helps to wet plot for 10-20mins, not touch my hair at all while it's drying, and if I'm really trying to be extra, I'll let my hair partially air dry upside-down by laying on my stomach with my head over the side of my bed as I scroll on my phone. Not sure if that description makes sense but it really works for me.
See I tried something like this and my hair looked good first day and then went crazy the next day.
Mine goes abit frizzy the next day too but i just add some water to the top x
you helped my hair go from supper frizzy to beautiful defined curls!! thank you
LOVE THIS!!! Thanks for the detailed suggestions (the sound the hair is supposed to make when scrunching) 🙌🏽 excites to try this myself this week!

Wow. Amazing. Your hair looks gorgeous. Thanks for this demonstration. I’m going to try it!
Hi everyone! I am seeing lots of comments about never being able to do something like this because of frizz. That used to be me! Check your gel/cream products and make sure they do not have alcohol in them. Alcohol can be very drying for curly hair and although lots of people swear by the "gel cast" method it might be the reason your hair is so frizzy and dry when it is product-less. Check your products and definitely risk having a few bad hair days for the sake of restoring moisture back into your hair. If you want safe style options for removing gel from your routine do half up-half down, claw clip styles, french braids etc. Just use low tension styles that can hold in the moisture without necessarily using a gel. I am currently wearing half up-half down style with a claw clip. I have a little past shoulder length hair. All I did to style was water and conditioner. I am still restoring my hair back to a healthier state! Some people are unaffected by gel but it always dried my hair out! Even though it looked good it felt scratchy and dead.
what if i dont use products with alcohol and my hair is still frizzy and has wet frizz 💀
I followed your steps..and the result is really fantastic..
Thank you😍😍
Omg hi Jayme! I'm not early at all but your hair looks amazing! I have 2b 2c and 3a but some of your tips are really helpful to me. Have an great day!
Omg
Your hair is so so so beautiful! Ps thanks for the tips 😄❤️😘
Finally! This is what I was looking for thank you!
Yaaaaaaay
It’s time for jayme
If my hair looked like this, I would never use product 😍😍😍
I stopped using hair products 5 months ago. My hair grew out like crazy, zero split ends and next to nothing breakage. I style my hair with denman brush with a little bit of conditioner still in my hair. Works out really well !!!! The first few washes my hair looked frizzy but once your hair gets used to it, frizz will not be a problem because there will be no frizz.
I just tried this and it worked so well I haven’t seen my hair pop this much in months
AMAZING!!😱✨, I can't believe that💕, thank you Jayme Jo!!💖
I'm so glad YT suggested your video. I've been looking for someone with fine curly hair for such a long time. I'm watching from Belize 🇧🇿
I love your videos there so helpful can’t wait for the next one ❤️
You are just the cutest! Thank you for this suggestion. I love how my hair looks with products, but I prefer to be a minimalist. Not sure how this will hold up in very humid Florida, but I'm going to give it a try.
OMG!!! I don’t have any products as of now....so...this is great!! And, your hair...ugh...goals😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥
Wowzers! I've been transitioning for the last two years, and this is the single most useful video I've watched. I have dry, 3b hair, but it's quite fine, so quickly gets greasy at the roots and dry at the ends. I used sea salt with my regular shampoo, and my scalp felt AMAZING, and did wonders for my baby hairs. Using conditioner as the last step was such a brilliant tip - I've wasted so much money on products that turn out to be just too heavy for my fine hair. For the first time since transitioning, my hair was soft, glossy and well-defined. Thank you so much!
I try this method and the results is amazing , my curls looks more definited and no frizz at all thank so much for making this video
Thanks very much I was waiting this video for loooooooong time☺️💙
