This vid just popped up in my recommendations and I'm so glad it did. I was recently feeling down about how there hasn't been any good RTS games for a long time so this is perfect timing. Can't wait to jump in! subbed
First time ever watching you, I like your style so far! Hope to see more of Spice Wars from you, I played my first full game recently and I really liked it, seems to be really nice for multiplayer with friends too.
Great video. In terms of my experience with the game: sadly haven't gotten around to picking it up yet, was kinda tempted to wait till full launch, but your gameplay was the first I saw of the Duel mode and that really appeals to me, so might grab it sooner.
Please don't wait. Join US! This game deserves attention now! It's the most polished early access I've ever seen. Come start learning, it's very challenging and demands your focus!

@@Scapestoat I mean... They only use them against aerial units and it seemed like he wasn't aware of that tech. So I thought it would be a good idea to mention it.
I've been wanting to pick up this game since it entered early access last April, but other, finished games have always jumped ahead on the list of things i buy, and with a new baby here money is always tight. That said, I've been eagerly watching development and cant wait for the day when I can pick it up and finally try it for myself!
I streamed this game back when it came out, it's recieved really well by the RTS community I find. Dune as an RTS game has weight. Alot of people credit command and conquer as being the birth of modern RTS, unaware that Dune II battle for arriks came first (also made by westwood). I struggled to get a win in this game, so I am looking forward to these new upcoming releases to help with my style of game play.
I fell in love with Emperor: Battle for Dune a long time ago and this one looks like I may have to give it a shot. Also, cannot wait for Part Two of the latest movie in December. It looks epic!
I absolutely loved the original Dune RTS game and the Dune rpg (even though the story and plot was by and large just reenacting the core beats of the book). This game seems like a well balanced merging of those two games, without being limited to the orig story.
I liked it but feel like it's missing diversity in units. But I have not played since before the air units. Before you just make a deathball and kill everything. Looking forward to trying it again
Been on the fence about this game, something looks off about it with the tiny squads and units, big dune fan though, maybe im to used to other rts games that have more units.
What are your thoughts on 4 player late game? I played 2 games recently and they felt really slow at the end. Ended up losing both because I didn't fully understand how to get the political victory.
its been an absolute treat being able to play this game during its entire transformation. would highly recommend for those still wanting to feel that old C&C nostalgia.
i really been enjoying this game, came across your content but the game reached so many updates its kinda out of date, i am glad you're still making content about it i been playing cardino branch and there is basically no info about them
Have you played Northguard much? So much to love there too. Age of Conan also has some amazing fun twists in the survival genre (also some gross ones). I'm really looking forward to the Dune themed version coming out in a few years.
Hey Jumbo, is there any progression in this game? Anything to unlock? Do they have leaderboards and ranked ladders? Or do you just buy the game, have everything unlocked and constantly spam single player or multiplayer games? Similar to AOE 2 let's say Thanks!
I love this game, but I feel like the Choam victory condition needs a bit of work to make it more viable. Hegemony is currently to quickly achieved to make a commercial victory possible.
Combat below? 😉 Saw a video about this ages ago, nice to see improvements. Silly question maybe but wasn't Harkonnen all about building as many militia as possible everywhere?
God please let this game get the launch and attention it deserves. It is the best polished, most attention demanding, and fun competitive strategy game i've ever played. Please play this game everyone.
Great game but there is so much in it now there needs to be a toggle to fix the spice bribe to a fixed number if you want it. i want to be able to play a game that lasts a whole long weekend and not get timed out because i cant produce 8000 spice in a cycle etc. I mean in the lore the harkonnens dont have to keep producing more and more spice - they have a fixed quota and thats it.
I really love this game. Can' t wait for the campaing. Squirmish is ok for a quick fun, specially with friends (I don't have friends that play Dune) so, I was always a guy more in touch with campaings than with the multiplayer components

This exact issue happens to me in fortnite. After an update several months ago now I can no longer play with my little sis. That's the only reason I play it so I can enjoy a game with her. My last option is updating the bios on my motherboard but that scares the crap out of me.

I really liked Dune Spice Wars but when you take a look at Steam Charts you will see that only 288 players per day are playing this game nowadays. Compare this with strategies like Civilization 6 (45 000 players per day) or with even much older Northgard which is made by the same developer and has 2 700 players per day. So even though I like Dune: Spice Wars it is obvious its commercial potential is somewhat in trouble. I hope this will somehow get better in the future.
It’s on game pass, so might have more players than you think. Great potential this game, really enjoy it. But needs a bit more work to make it more engaging
While I agree the numbers are troubling comparing it to Civ VI is a bit unfair. Civ VI is the SIXTH installment of one of the most famous video game series of all time! They should add campaigns with story elements or RPG-ish element a little bit like the campaign of Starcraft2, or allow 3rd parties to create these. I like it a lot but now i'm done.
