I have never played a 4X game before and the learning curve here in immense. Thanks for the video! It helped a bit but I'm going to have to keep tinkering around to see how this all works.
Yeah 4x has a painful learning curve, i only started playing games in the genre 2 years ago and remember how hard it was to learn the basics, and whilst there are similar aspects between 4x games, they all seem to fet more complex the more you play. Dune has some really confusing systems and requires alot of thinking especially in your first few games.

Honestly the reason I searched this up is because I'm stupid and I was looking at the wrong spice thing, namely the one that requires technology to be built, and was wondering "how do I even get spice?"
Good stuff, very helpful as the game mechanics is quite complicated with so many things going on and hidden in various menu options and is easily overlooked by newbies to the game.
So that the players can say that "their" race is underpowered and other ones need to be nerfed? So that then the developers will have to make regularly changes to the four races just because some MP fans are not happy with their chosen race? No, thanks. Not every game has to be destroyed by multiplayer. Dune Spice Wars is good as it is.
@@bonjuerltd127 Wow, you have a very pessimistic take on multiplayer games. I see no harm in allowing multiplayer to be an optional choice for this game (Which I believe is happening).
I talked a little more about this in my review. But generally you can expect 2-3 hours for a successful campaign 😊 - could do it quicker if you were playing fast though.
Spice harvesters don't have spotters to watch for wormsign then? Just have to hope no one nicks your carryall lol. Hopefull that they may add more options such as the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, the Spacing Guild and maybe the Bene Tlelax/tlelaxu as the game gets closer to finished.
