- Navigator 32L travel backpack This beast of a backpack is made for long-term travelers and heavy packers. At 32L it should be carry-on compatible with most airlines, but is the price justified?

The Nomatic navigator line never seems to be much more travel-focused than their previous line. Namely, the outer materials have been changed to Junior ballistic nylon which is more durable in travel situations. This particular Backpack features 32liters of storage which - in case that was not enough - is expandable to 41liters. Awwyeeaa.
So if you're a person planning to travel for a long time, or just planning to bring back a ton of souvenirs, this pack will have you covered.

I bought this 32l nomatic back after doing some research and watching this review. Just got back from a 27 day trip in Italy and I have to say that the quality and overall features of the backpack are top of the line. There isn't one feature I didn't like. The product is very well described in your review and it is a top of the line product. However it can be very heavy, packing clothes for 7 days, tablet with charger, documents plus a toiletry and a pair of shoes, makes this bag extremely heavy. It gets very bulky so it makes it hard going thru the aisle of the plane or train and it wears you out fast going thru airports and train stations. In my opinion this is the perfect backpack for road trips, because it fits everything you need and you can put it in your vehicle and go. Highly recommend if you are a strong person that can carry a lot a weight for long time. (I'm not blaming anyone for this, as you did mention how heavy it is, however I didn't realize it until a had to carry it thru the airport, train station and stairs as a lot of places in Europe have a least one floor of stairs before getting to the elevator)
Thanks for the epic comment Joel! I don’t think this bag is significantly heavier than other bags in it’s same range - only slightly - but that weight does add up over time
Not really interested in this pack, still watching it. Amazing quality, content, design and delivery. This channel will blow up soon, the tipping point must be in sight. You guys are next level.
Thanks so much Peter! We are only in our 1st year and are growing fast - the tipping point is in sight! Thanks so much for supporting us on our journey :)
Very underrated channel! Love your reviews! It would bring it to another level if you guys record in 2K or up as well!
Thanks for the love! We might up our game and record in a higher resolution soon :)
I own this backpack, I have traveled with this backpack to Europe....AND only this backpack. It hauls the clothing and one pair of shoes along with my extensive tech. Even the pockets I thought were useless, weren't. Everything is exactly where it should be BUT I didn't know how brilliant is was until I used it. The small secret pockets were useful and just made me feel better about stashing cash in them.
The iPad pocket was well placed. The computer pocket was also well. I love slash pockets because they offer more protection while minimizing the need for full range zippers, as long as you are right handed. The look, the function the quality make this the best backpack/luggage piece I have ever purchased. I am a bag/backpack/luggage whore. I have upwards of 50 bags/packs/luggage. This is my favorite non-wheeled piece.
My home to office bag is the Nomatic Travel Pack. The same bag I use to travel on 2 to 5 day trips. I like it for short domestic trips because it fits under the seat on airlines. The Nomatic Navigator 32 L is my go to international bag. The Travel Pack is my go to domestic travel pack and office bag.
Thanks for the epic comment james! Nomatic is a great brand and it’s awesome to hear that you love both your bags from them
I would love to see some reviews on more affordable backpacks like in the $50 to $100 price range. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the awesome comment! We have gotten a TON of requests to review more budget-friendly packs and plan to in the very near future. Be sure to subscribe so you know when they go live :)
I would love to see on the reviews, comments on how the products compare to their direct competitors e.g. the Aer travel pack 2 normal/xpac versions. Great channel and very in-depth reviews.
Thanks for the comment! In my opinion the Aer Travel Pack 2 is a better pack. It's a better price point, without sacrificing any quality.
Hey Aaron, thanks for the detailed review man, top stuff! I feel you also have your unique -not so formal- type of review which I really dig hehe keep the good work hustler 👊
Ha thanks dude! Have you seen our Building a Backpack project? Trying to take the hustle to the next level!
Very good video. I bought this backpack today. Was looking for the best for my back too. The video convinced me. Thanks. Best regards from 🇨🇭
Glad it was helpful!
You love those Nomatic bag dangles, LOL. Thank you for your videos... best bag reviews..most thorough

Great review. Thank you
It was really helpful
Glad to help mate!
good video man, thanks
Glad you liked it!
After seeing this review in Korea, I paid $430 to purchase this bag. Thanks for the good review.
Nice! Glad to help and let us know what you think of it after it arrives 🤘🏼
Men thank you for this review.I have been waiting for review of this backpack for almost year. And I wanna say, could you make review of Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket XL.
And of course thank you for this video.
Glad to help dude! And great request with Heimplanet - I've added it to our to do list :)
@@Nomads.Nation Thank you for it and for your content. You’re the best.
Thank you for your informational review on this backpack and others! I'm trying to replace my Hylete 6 in 1... Looking for something that "mostly" (I can get away with) fits under the airplane seat and also has a laptop compartment that fits a bulky Alienware R1 X17. Do you believe that this backpack in 32L mode might accomplish both of those? I'm also looking at Boundary Supply Errant Pro X-Pac and the Sympl Travel 35L, any thoughts on these would be appreciated :)
All great options but I have no idea in regards to the airline (policies vary) and laptop size. I’d recommend reaching out to each brand and double checking with them for the most accurate answer
I love nomatic bags. I’ve used the travel backpack and the 15l navigator as my daily for years. I’m looking at getting a carry on to use for my 3-7 day trips. I’m between the 40l vs the navigator 32-41(expanded). Would you say the 40 can fit more or cuz the 40’s pockets(ie water bottle pocket) go into the main storage the navigator fits about the same? Liters isn’t always the best way to compare.
Ur right, liters isn't always the best way to compare, but yea I'd say that the 40L is maybe slightly bigger
@@Nomads.Nation Thanks so much for the fast response and love the content. Appreciate all the hard work. Always watch your videos when in the market for a new bag. I recommend you to everyone that asks me as well. Keep pumping out the videos!
@@jimmyfox231 damn dude thanks so much for the love!!!
Amazing review!! Tnks
Glad to help Jesan!
Great video, I know this bag is meant to go in the overhead bins - but- is there anyway I could get away with this bag possible being under the plane seat?
Great question! It depends on the airline tho :/
What are the dimensions of the second front pocket. Mainly looking for length to determine if it can fit a full sized keyboard.
Thanks for the question Matthew! I'd reach out to Nomatic to find that out - they'll get you sorted :)
Do you have any comparison information on this backpack vs the Sympl Travel backpack? They seem to be similar but witih a very different price point.
SYMPL is better at the price point imo. If you have any specific questions im more than happy to answer
I need this bag or the travel pack and the McKinnon everyday bag to make a baby. Those combined in 25-30l range would be the perfect backpack for travel/everyday for me
I’d review the shit out of that pack lol
Cool reviews! Can you also make a review of the virus 24/7 backpack?
Thanks dude! Do you have a link to this pack?
@@Nomads.Nation Sure! Here is the link;

@@LokGop Thanks mate! I've added this to our to do list
I always travel with my carry on and a backpack for my “personal ítem” i have a backpack like 5 cm smaller, do you think that i can use this the dame way?
it will work on some airlines, but not on all as they all have different policies. Please check the specifications of your most taveled airlines and see if this fits their requirements
How do you compare this vs. the 30L travel bag?
They are quite different. This one is much more minimalist but lighter. Plus I think it has a better look. But if you need organisation then the travel pack is a much better bet
Like my backpacks. $400. For this absolutely NOT! love your reviews
Yea dude... it's a steep price.... thanks for the love!
this backpack is insane, i can't believe they made this
A bit overpriced, but a very solid bag
Got this backpack for Father’s Day as a gift can’t wait to use it in Mexico in 3 weeks. This backpack F**k!
ahh so jelly, I miss Mexico so much!!!
I'm on the fence about buying this backpack. Do you know if the side water bottle pockets can fit a 40oz HydroFlask?
dont have one, hopefully someone in the community can help. Or reach out to Nomatic, they'll be able to give you a clear answer
Hi! Could you test Jaimie Jacobs' backpack?
Great recommendation! I'll add it to our to-do list :)
Wish there was a 20l expandable to 30l version.
write them a passionate letter 💪
Seems like this goes head to head with the peak design travel bag. Do you have a favorite out of the two for long term travel?
PD all day
I'd love to see a comparison of this two bags. Peak Design travel bag and Nomatic Navigator 32.
Great videos, bro
@@juliocuevas7082 I ended up ordering both and testing them myself. Ended up sticking with Nomatic. The PD wasn't as comfortable and the compartments were less functional.
@@juliocuevas7082 this would bebgreat!
@@zanejarecke714 TQ SO MUCH for sharing!!!
Which backpack do you use?
Great question! Stay tuned, I’ll be announcing my favorite 5 backpacks on the channel soon 😉
Thanks for the review, can I carry it on the airplane?!
Thanks for the comment dude! Depends on the airline tbh, but most larger airlines, yes, you should be fine :)
Please make a guide on camera slings for small mirrorless cameras !!!!
Will do!
@@Nomads.Nation Thanks a ton , subscribed !!!
What size water bottles can it hold? And it has 2 holders????
Can’t say for certain - def ask Nomatic and let us know what they say 💪🏻
@@Nomads.Nation ok thanks will do. Does it have two water bottle holders ?

Would you go the navigated or the 35l travel nomatic?
Navigated?
@@Nomads.Nation navigator
@@SonLe-uz5kb If you mean the Navigator 32L vs the Nomatic Travel Pack then I would pick the Navigator 32L personally.
it's great but $400 for materials that are not fully high quality then yeah lower the price to $150-80 or $200
Great point Lucas, while I wouldn't want to discourage someone from getting this pack if they like/can afford it... there are def. other packs that give more bang for their buck
this or nomatic travel pack?
ahhh they are quite different tbh... If I had a gun to my head tho, Travel Pack :)
Even camera backpacks are on the overpriced end if they're around 400, and this is just a sleek, but plain backpack with a few elastic straps inside.
Yea, it's not cheap, and it's highly debatable if it's worth the price, but I've spoken to some people that were OK with the price and absolutely love it.
Pls, don’t forget about kilos 😅😂
Good call! We should always add those in as text graphics when I say how much it weighs - will keep an eye on this in the future :)
Count how many times he says "YKK" lel...
Edit: poor catto got stuck in the compression strap. I dislike this. Lmao
watch my Nomatic Travel Pack review and try and keep count of how many times I say 'Digital Nomad'... it gets dark lel
$400 USD. OUCH. CALL ME WHEN IT'S ON SALE.
Yeah it’s pricey lol
That is MUCH too heavy for a backpack
Yea it’s not light
