  • In this video we show our cooking and heating option for our Off Grid, Dry Cabin we are building in the Rocky Mountains on our property. We Review the the England's Stove Works Survivor Cub Camp Stove and all the accessories we purchased and why we chose this particular stove. We also assemble the stove, the first run of stove pipe and do a burn-off to season the stove before we install it.
We bought this at a local building supply, it is not currently in stock on amazon, however it is on Cabela's for about the same price we paid without accessories, heres the link:www.cabelas.com/shop/en/engla...

Great choice on this stove. Obviously, very high quality and will provide many years of use. Also it offers nice versatility, cooking and heat. Good addition too your cabin👍

Funny the adapters/spark arresters etc sometimes force us to put the female end of the pipe towards the stove, this is a problem if you ever kill your damper for bed time etc and don’t burn hot enough, you will get liquid creosote that will run down your pipes and come out at the joints and be on the outside of your stove pipe, very flammable too! But I get it been there done that anyways always try to have male end towards stove where it can drain into the box and be safely burnt off

They say camp chef is made from 10 gauge door and top, rest 12. this is apparently all 12, so I do not think it is more heavy duty. I do like the compact size, and possibly better construction.

Fairly new to your channel. I really enjoy it and the cabin build. Verify yourself, but I'm pretty sure there's a mix of Avocado or Grapeseed oil and water that you put in a spray bottle, and when the cook top comes down a bit from the ripp'n hot level you spray the cook top and it basically turns it into a cast iron finish.

Awesome! Thank you! Also J Dean, since doing this video I have decided to go with all double walled chimney pipe. Its safer and better for heat protection and stand off from the walls.

Thanks Kevin, we just got the stove installed in our cabin and are getting ready to run it for its first burn inside. We will have that in our next video of the move in and reveal in our cabin. I did end up going with double walled pipe instead of the single walled pipe I showed in this stove video, its safer, has less of a standoff from combustibles. You can see is install it in this video ua-cam.com/video/eMtjRKSvSqM/v-deo.html
