I've owned the girsan 1911 with mirror stainless slide and absolutely loved it.
I loved the canick SC I had too and only reason I sold the canick was cause I wasn't working from a bad car wreck and had a p365 I was carrying.
But the 3 best compact pistols I've shot so far are,Ruger American compact, canick elite SC and a a Glock 19 gen 5 mo's.
I shot them side. Y side with gen 4 Glocks and hkvp9sk,Glock 43,shield 9,and more than a few others and those 3 have been the best and softest shooting pistols I've shot and onwed so far.

That girsan 1911c is way heavier than your usual 1911,I just got a rock island 1911 and it seems like it weighs about half the girsan did,the girsan had a rail and thicker slide tho but it's a beautiful 1911 for the price.

SAR B6, 17+1 rounds, it comes in a carrying case with a cleaning kit and two magazines.
It is a CZ75 clone and used by several NATO militaries and numerous police departments around the world.
I have over 2000 rounds through it using all sorts of 9mm rounds without a single failure.
It is a single action double action hammer fired 4.5 inch barrel gun, when I purchased the gun.
I had a $500 budget, so I had a few choices, the clerk pointed out this gun because it was the best bang for the buck by far, and only a few guns that he knows that don't come back.
Cost out the door with tax included was $317.

I did get a police trade in M&P full size in 45ACP recently. It showed holster wear marks but the barrel was pristine. $400 then tax. I think I got a good deal on a reliable gun. Shoots very well, no malfunctions but only 100 rds fired so far. I got it to have a replacement gun in case my daily gun were to break, etc. or to arm a friend or family member in an emergency.
I think you have pushed me over the edge to try a Canik. I know two guys that have one, different models, but they love them. I carry a G43 now. It conceals well, so I stayed with it.

Ended up buying the Canik TP9E SC as my first gun because of your previous top 5 budget handgun video and Ms. Outlaws video picking her carry gun. I couldn’t be happier with it, it’s an awesome lookin gun and reliable as hell. 500+ rounds of various ammunition’s and so far I’ve only had one ammo related malfunction. 100% recommended for anybody looking to get their first gun or just to pick up a great budget friendly gun with tons of features.

      @brevanmcclellan6235 Рік тому

@@jernathantrevino5190 this things a beast. I recently got the mc9 because I like that it’s a little slimmer, but I still have to put some more rounds through it before I retire the TP9E SC to home defense duty lol.
Been carrying the SC almost daily since posting my OG comment, and besides it being a bit chunkier than some other options, it’s been absolutely amazing. Well over 1000rds through it now, I could count on one hand the number of malfunctions and all of them have been ammo related. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for something a little bit bigger than the average subcompact, but still easily concealable. I have a holster with the concealment claw thing and one without, I prefer having the claw because it does tuck the grip a bit closer to my body, which I like. In the holster without the claw, I do notice that the grip sticks out a little bit more. Not a huge deal and still easily concealable either way, but definitely something to take note of.
I’m happy to answer any other questions you might have!

Me too brother I have NO problem saving some $$$'s and getting great otherwise way more pricey guns, my ppq coyote used my FN FNS9 used, my canik tp9 in burnt bronze used and for a song cheap, my pps m2 used and dirt cheap, and some others bought that way also and they are all super excellent guns, something also nice is someone else got them new and had to find out if they had problems or not and they also did the break in on them so they should be good to go, you could get someone else's problem but not likely, especially if you know what to look for,,,,I've never had an issue that way in a bunch that I've had and passed on to get others.

I served in the USAF for 10 years, and was an OJT Supervisor Trainer; that is to say that I taught people how to train people. You are all that anyone needs to see (for the subject matter that you cover)to make informed decisions regarding guns.

Firstly, those outtakes, hahahaha!! So, I spent months researching pistols for my dedicated cc. I was previously carrying a 92fs (and in winter months probably will again), but I wanted something smaller since it’s going to eventually get warmer. I had a top three that included the canik tp9 elite sc and I watched probably 40 yt videos on it. Your reviews of that pistol are the ones that finally convinced me, and I’ve been carrying one for about a week and a half now. Thank you for what you two do. Respect

I totally agree with your no. 1 pick. I bought a Canic tp9SC last year and it quickly became my EDC gun, replacing my Khar P45 which is a fine pistol in it's own right.. At 3 o'clock IWC with the 12 rd. mag. it hardly prints at all and with the right holster it's easy to forget that it's even there. I haven't been to the range since I suffered a broken neck in November and I'm still waiting to see if I will regain enough feeling and strength in my hands to let me shoot again. You can b e sure the Canic will be the first pistol out of the bag if and when that happens.

Duty style 9mm with 18 and 20 round mag, multiple back and side grips included, fiber optic front sight, cut for RMR out of the box, optional threaded barrel. All at between $330 and $380 depending on the seller. I would love to see you review that one. I have their 1911 and I love it.

Yeah... My Taurus' are great guns NOW but when I got em the only one that was perfect out of the box was my G3.
My G2C required some work on the trigger bar section that engages the striker safety. Then the trigger spring broke.
And my G3C had to have its feed ramp sanded and polished to get my defensive ammo to chamber...
But like I said, Now they are both crazy accurate and perfectly reliable firearms. Just took a bit of work from me to get em to 100%. I get that not all people want to work on or modify their carry firearms but I dont mind.
All that said... It woulda been nice had they just functioned perfect out of the box. But at least I know how to fix em now. 😁👍

The one gripe on Canik is the magazines.
You can get magazines from a single aftermarket manufacturer, but you can't find the factory magazines anywhere with any reliability. Have to call around to gun stores until you find someone that has a couple sitting on the back of a shelf somewhere.
Thankfully the magazines all fit so long as they are long enough, you can run a 20rd mag in an SC, but obviously couldn't stick a 12rd mag in an SF.
Pretty sure the Canik mags fit Taurus as well, though I don't think they would lock the slide back.

Considered "old" by some, I found the Ruger SR-9 to have a great trigger and quick reset. I don't know why they weren't popular back in the mid 2000s.

Good gun with a great trigger. I think the magazine safety turned off many in the CC market.

Prior to the SR9 series, Ruger wasn't exactly the epitome of conceal carry handguns. The first batch did have issues with light primer strikes and the first run did not have the best trigger. The SR9c came with that sweet, out of the box trigger but still had light primer strike issues (I've sent two SR9c back for replacement). Ruger was one of the first production arms maker to offer extended, grip attached magazines and the market just wasn't there yet, which other makers have come afterwards to have success.

@@rogerwood5228 Hmm. That's interesting. I got mine used (cause I'm......frugal [cheap]) 3 years ago and I'll definitely keep a look out for light primer strikes.

@@chewybaca67 I purchased two about 10 years ago and both required fixing the striker. I think the issue was with the sear for the magazine disconnect was disrupting the striker plunge. The problem was supposedly addressed with later production runs. I forget now, but they serialized the later runs to visually tell the difference. You can probably do an easy internet search on that serial sequence.

Great list Honest Outlaw! I love it and completely agree. To me your #1 and #2 can definitely be interchangeable depending on what you like and what you're looking for. I'd take a full size Beretta APX for an overall pistol or the Canik TP9 Elite SC if I'm more focused on EDC/concealed carry.
The Beretta APX is such a flat shooter, has an above average trigger, grippy grip texture, great ergonomics, mags are cheap, made in Italy/USA, and the slide serrations work very well (especially if you get the optics ready RDO version which are usually $50-75 more if you can find one). I highly recommend getting the Competition Firing Pin Spring Assembly and the Heavy Metallic RSA Guide Rod Assembly straight off Beretta's website to make trigger even better while lessening the felt recoil. They both used to be $15 each but prices has increased in 2022. I think those are only compatible with the full size APX though. After the cheap upgrades, the $300-$329 APX is still cheaper than many barebones premium firearms out there. The Compact and Centurion models are great from what I heard, but I don't have any experience with them
I know microcompacts are popular these days (the Taurus GX4 for $350 would be a great budget microcompact for the list) but I still find myself gravitating towards the Canik TP9 Elite SC. It has one of the best stock triggers out there, comes with so many mags and accessories out of the box (various capacity mags and even a holster), the ergonomics are so comfy, you can mount an optic on it, great for conceal carry, fun at the range with a full grip if you put on the included extended mag, and it presents such a great value. The TP9 Elite SC was my introduction to Canik and I've loved what they have released since then.
