Rivers oh dont even go there mate, but the fact you still put this up, and why not, anyway why not, im on the Thames next Friday all being well, take mate.
Thanks Clive. The low point was my little head cam packing up, which rounded off a disappointing few hours. I can’t really justify buying another as it only lasted 3 years, which isn’t really acceptable for what was quite an expensive camera. I’m experimenting with a neck phone holder, like the one you use. I think my next trip will be to a lake!
Hi Mark, thanks for watching the video. I had a P&DAA ticket for a couple of seasons but it's a longer trip for me and not a particularly easy one across the Fens. After a hip op in February I didn't renew as the venues I liked on that ticket involved a bit too much walking. I particularly liked the look of the Nene backwaters even though I didn't do that well on them, probably because I chose to fish them during the day rather than early mornings or evenings, which don't really work for me. As for Offord, I feel it's become more challenging since I first fished it in 2020, and the Mill Stream in particular is now very restricted because of the growth of the overhanging trees. On the plus side, although it doesn't really interest me, there have been some big carp caught from the Car Park Pool this season.
@@BobGoesFishing Fair play Bob,the travel is always the drawback in the hunt for good water, the stretch of the Nene I’ve fished has been the Bluebell lakes section,it’s rammed with quality chub, roach perch pike bream etc. Hope that hip is coming along well! I enjoy your vids,it’s the reality of bankside 👍
It looked so fishy too Bob. Just one of those days mate. Look foward to your next installment. Take care 😀
Yes indeed. Thank you for watching and sharing my disappointment!

Stay out of the heat Bob, not good for men of our vintage.
I entirely agree. I’ve never been someone who likes the heat and I’ve certainly become less tolerant of it as I’ve got older.
Have fished that place enough times to know the fish stocks aren’t great, fish the Nene and it’s like being in a different world catch rate wise.
