Hey great video. How long can you leave the cured roe in the bag of borax for? And how long does the finished product last for before its expired? Thanks keep up the great content!
@@Go2fishingbc it may have just been me though. That other guy we were fishing with that evening used my roe and still caught fish. Forget his name though
@@Go2fishingbc you should try it. I sometimes do it at quiet runs as well if the fish dont want to bite. I find that it spooks the fish and then people not flossing don't get bites anymore, then more fish for me 😆
Nice and simple! Thanks for the tutorial
Nice tutorial. You made it simple and very easy to follow.
Great video..thanks for posting
do you put your cured roe into a freezer or just a regular refrigerator and how long would it last in there?
During the season I put it in the fridge. Usually good for 1 month. If you plan to use it next season freezer forsure
You think I can cure previously frozen roe? + previously frozen roe that’s been mixed with scent gel. Thanks!

You can leave as long as you want but I guess sooner you use it the better? Some of my roe is a year old in borex lol
Wow that's a fridge full of roe! Insane.
Yes! Me, brother, dad caught lots of doe springs. Won’t have any shortage for awhile
@@Go2fishingbc excellent supply... so you got the whole family fishing that's good.
@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures forsure! Good luck out there
@@Go2fishingbcdon’t think he needs luck lol
@@elee4368I do
Do you keep it in the bag or borax until you put it on the hook or do you take it out and put it in a empty bag that's not full of borax?
Keep it in the bag with borax and use it on the river
If you are just going to freeze it do you still put in borax before you freeze?
That’s correct
Thanks for the video.🔥
No worries! Goodluck
Do you store them in the freezer once they are in the borax?
Fridge if I am going to use it this season. If not freezer for next year
Nice! Great video! Quick question: after you cure it, how much can the roe last in good conditions to be used?
@@jorgemartinez-compains8369 thanks! More than a couple month in a fridge but sooner you use it the better. If you freeze it then a year i would say
when u cure roe is it meant so u can use it later is it necessary to cure ur eggs
It’s because it stay on the hook well other wise you ll get one cast out of it. I’d say it’s necessary
You mention alot of people like to add scents to their roe as well. I thought most of the pro cure products come with krill/other scents no?
They do have scent already but some add more
Maybe if I follow this my roe will start working
First light using this roe has been very effective. Try it out
@@Go2fishingbc it may have just been me though. That other guy we were fishing with that evening used my roe and still caught fish. Forget his name though
@@Kevin-og2ti ohh this is you. They will bite any roe tbh first light. All about depth
With good roe, you never have to snag fish, they will bite !
You are correct
roe doesn't matter when you are flossing at fishermans corner.
That’s why I don’t go there no more
Flossing at the corner is great. I've limited out on coho there this whole week and I've gone 4 times
@@johnswart6120 I don’t personally floss. I like fishing at a quiet run with bait and bead. To each their own

@@johnswart6120 just use a net next time it's easier if all you give a shit about is killing fish.
chemicals!! the fish will eaf and die after your borax
