Great video going to use the fresh eggs I'm curing like that tomorrow.I left it in the liquid brine for 4 hours then sat them out to dry for an hour then wrapped my skein in paper towels put into zip lock bag and put in the refrigerator they came out perfect for the next morning ready to fish caught 3 female kings.Love this cure.
Thanks for the videos. Questions: 1-Why are steelhead eggs cured over a shorter period of time than compared to a salmon egg cure? 2-Can the liquid cure be re-used and how often? 3-How long can you keep eggs in the freezer, do they go bad? Really like the tutorials on egg cure. Please keep them coming. Would you address different egg curing techniques hand how those varied techniques would be used in different fishing applications. Also, would you show some tutorials on bank fishing off of ocean jetty's for salmon or steelhead with spoons? Thanks again Les From Eastern Oregon
great video! here's my fish tip for the blood still in the skein vein. use the tip of a spoon and push down lightly and scrape the blood following the vein to the end of the vein. the blood will flow out of the end and just absorb with a paper towel.
Good vid. But there are a million of these basic vids. Can u show how to mix em up? Like making them hotter or sweeter and when u prefer to use them. Eggs were tough to come by this year. Also, do u just stick that jar in the freezer as is?
How long do eggs after being cured last? What's the best way to store them? I just caught a Chinook that had eggs and im going to try and cure this batch (will be my first ever attempt). Thanks!
You say 4hrs for steelhead and 8hrs for salmon. I like knowing you can use one cure for both, but do they fish as is after that or do u have to add additives to make them hotter for salmon?
Good video, this is the first year I started to cure my own eggs so all the info I can get is great 🤘 the first ones I did I did in a powder but it’s like I burnt them almost like they dried right up, how long should I keep them in the cure
Fly rods are the way to go for Steelhead, coho and Skamenia. Toss them center pin crap away, all you need is orange yarn eggs pattern for cohos and pink for Skamenia and chartreuse for steelheads.

Great tip, thanks for giving everyone some advice!
Do you freeze your eggs in the container after draining out the extra brine and while they are still wet or do you dry them first? Thank you.

does pro cure roe cure ever expire (the dry stuff in the plastic bottle)...mine's getting clumpy....thx
After curing, do you use the eggs raw right on the Hook? Or do you tie up egg sacks?
Also don’t forget that with those loose eggs you can make eggs sacks witch will make you stretch those eggs farther 🤙
Why do you not want to rinse the eggs in water? Does that ruin them?
So I have sucker fish eggs and I wanted to ask if i can cure them and use them for bait?
Not worried about freezer burn with air in the jar when freezing?

Great vid.... question, do you need to worry about dead space, ( air pockets) in container before putting in freezer?
thank you for sharing your secret how do you store long term and will this work for use with trout?
Can you use borax after the brine is complete??
