Went 2/2 (Steelhead) in 30mins on less then 10cast drifts today on using the Hot cure blend with fresh steelhead chunk skein. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Cured my first batch of eggs, and put a little salt and sugar on them like you showed in the video. Wow! I was impressed how will it worked. At one point today I made 3 cast and had 3 strikes landing 2 of them. Thank you for the information and tight lines.
Just did my first batch of eggs yesterday from a nice hen stealhead. I used the pautzke fire cure. Looking great today, can’t wait to hit the snake this weekend!
Are steelhead skeins normally more "bloody" than salmon skeins? Just asking as I don't have any experience with steelhead skeins. I caught 3 hens over the weekend.
Depending on the size of the trout, you can have pretty nice size chunks in your loop. If you're around a blue ribbon with some heavyweights big chunks work wonders.
How can anyone give this a "thumbs down"? If you don't like..don't dislike it...just leave. Even if you think you know more about the topic. All good info..is good info Thanks for sharing...always wanted to know how to do this, but I have Never had anyone want to share.
Can you show us how to make an all around blend? I’m getting into salmon fishing from my usual bass fishing. I just want to be able to catch any salmon/trout so a all around blend would be good for me. Btw you guys should fish at alki beach park for salmon!
A good blend is pautzke fire cure i use pink you can use red, then some pautzke krill powder a sprinkle of sugar. Then let them cure. When you are on the water you can just add scent to the glob on your hook which in turn makes it so you can fish different scents.
Absolutely brother. I just bought some online a couple of weeks ago. I've been using it since my Dad showed us how when I was a kid. I'm currently 51 now lol.
Why keep it in size ?!? Cut it up first and then he puts a cure on it and doesn’t let it set at all then puts in borax right away ?!? Noooooooooooo cut the bait smaller and let the cure soak a few hours at least if not days before u put it in borax ?!?!?!? Wow guys lol that’s now how Canadians catch those fish
Thanks for watching everyone!! Check out more fishing tips here: ua-cam.com/play/PLlig7tUTrWvakl_qsqGsxVcgyOiAsLMnS.html

Same here love fishing and watching these videos when I can't fish
Sweet. I can’t wait for the egg sac video. I just bought the stuff to do it!!!
Did they make it?
Just about to ask about spawn sacs. Saw y’all on the river last weekend👌🏻

Sportsman's Warehouse has the Addicted ProCure, thought that was cool.
Stuff is awesome we have it up in Canada in local small shops now. The adx are spreading their wings internationally
For the 2nd method you showed do you freeze them instantly? Or do you cure them in the fridge for a day or two??

Jordan, can use this curing technique using trout eggs?
amazing videos guys
After your curing process is finished, are the eggs tough enough to be vacuumed sealed? Or maybe partially frozen and then vacuum sealed?
Jordan, how about showing a single egg curing process. I've seen both salt and borax ways, what's your way for single trout fishing? Tight Line
I'm new to curing eggs. Used the wizard pro cure the eggs are soft if I air fry them they get harder and smaller what am I doing wrong? Thanks
Been waiting for a video like this. Tired of giving my eggs away to my buddies for them to use. Thanks
Yes more egg curing from fish to freezer step by step🎣
Or you can just use Pappa John's garlic butter, trout love it.
lol that doesn’t work
@@fishinghuntingreportsbymm6821 it works great, try it on any lake.
Better fish, better fishing, papa johns
@@DAMMDAUGHTERS 💀
So the eggs also work great for trout? I didn’t know the skeins could work, I thought just the singles
You don’t want a lot of them on there but it’s better to have a skeins Then just singles.
@@fishinghuntingreportsbymm6821 oh ok

@@whitenoise509 thanks for the tip!
Have you ever fished the White River in Arkansas using some of your methods and baits ?
Hi Jordan! Love the channel! Question....cure then freeze for later? or Freeze then thaw and cure for use? Thanks and keep up the great content!
Cure 1st
👍

Awesome I've been looking for a great recepie
Curious, does the Borax dissolve? Or is it on the eggs when you are fishing them?
Yesssss
Is that beginning clip gonna be a addicted life??
Yep!
@@AddictedFishing yes!! That river is awesome

I use parchment paper and borax and let them sit out to dry not to dry just enough to cure the right way you know
I do my eggs very similar
Love it! Thank you! Especially the tips on freezing! #watchtheads
P.S. the pic looks like Jordan snacked on some eggs himself.....
Do you have to was the borax off of the eggs after freezing
sittin here hittin the fish whistle. Thinking i wonder if steelhead would like freeze dried and powdered watermelon as a sweetener. I shall find out.
Does the egg cure go bad after a while?
Borax it
Is it just the lakes that I fish, or do nightcrawlers not work. Cuz live worms never get picked up by trout where im from
Same, ive only had one time where they actually were working.
Depends on the water, time of year and target species but, crawlers can be supper deadly on trout.
When are you going to do a soft bead vs hard bead challenge?
Is there a pro cure that does not have any dye? I live in a rented apartment and I really do not want to stain anything curing eggs
Just don't be a downie about it
In my experience as long as you put down some paper towels you won’t stain anything and even if you do it should come off easy.
Newspaper and gloves
Absolutely brother. I just bought some online a couple of weeks ago.

Now I can fish!
Nice video! Do you know of anyone that has uncured roe for purchase? I know I'm e begging! 🐟
Try looking around southern Oregon coast September October we are all ways looking for people to buy king eggs and there fresh daily
@@wilsonthompson8749 Thanks, however I live in the SF Bayarea.
Can you freeze them after they have been cured?
Never mind, should of watch the full video before I asked. Thank you for the very informative video. Keep up the good work.
Could you safely eat these as well before this process?
Hi
How long will the eggs last in the fridge?
Only keep in fridge if you will use them withing a week. If longer freeze
@@lemon-iu7bo gotcha. Thanks man.
Can I use regular borax?
That's all I use, good old 20 mule team borax.
Great Lakes steel don’t touch hot eggs. Change my mind
can you cure bass eggs
Isnt borax, boric acid? And deadly?
Damn I wish I had salmon eggs
Why keep it in size ?!? Cut it up first and then he puts a cure on it and doesn’t let it set at all then puts in borax right away ?!? theyre in washington like 20 min away from me (the ADX)
CUT BAIT SMALLER SOAK IN THAT CURE A FEW DAYS THEN BORAX AND FREEZE TWO AIRLESS ZIPLOCKS
Did somebody get a new red raft???
Haven’t seen that much borax used before. What type of life will you get in or out of the freezer?
Use a year later always fine
We get a year and half on cut small cured n boraxed bait
Treating your eggs takes away the natural scent. Tie your bags up fresh and freeze them.
I catch twice as many fish as the guys that treat them.
How long will the last with no cure frozen
