I know that we're talking about Trish, but this needs to be said: If we ever get a prequel in which we see Eva taking care of the twins, we have to, and I mean, *_HAVE TO_* have her sing "Legacy" to them as a lullaby. It is an absolute requirement, and I will fight you if you disagree. Back to Trish. I sincerely pity her. She, Lucia and Kyrie deserve a lot more. Some people might argue that I should add Lady, but honestly, what she got in 3 was plenty enough in my opinion. Trish was made back when video game stories were just there to give you the context as to why you're doing what you're doing (with a few exceptions, I'm sure). As a result, her story was pretty rushed and somewhat bland. But that doesn't mean that she shouldn't be used. Think about it: Dante and Vergil. Pretty much the only characters to have explicit mommy issues along with daddy issues. Trish. A clone of their mother created by the guy who _killed_ their parents. What does all of that amount to? Nothing. After the first game, it's like the fact that she looks like Eva is non-existent. Yeah, there was the scene with V, but we don't even know if he's opening up to Trish _specifically_ because she looks like his mother. We like to _think_ that that is the case, but it's never confirmed. Hell, outside of that scene, Vergil never even interacts with her. _VERGIL._ The guy who thought that his mother abandoned him...never talks to her. Trish even confirms that she knows about him, though vaguely. How, I repeat, HOW has this plot point never been utilized? Like, would Vergil stop himself from hurting her because she looks like his mother? Or would he attack her because of lingering resentment for being left behind? Or would he be attacking her because she's a clone created by Mundas, which would make her nothing more than an abomination in his eyes? Would Trish not care or have an existential crisis? Would she try to talk to/talk Vergil down depending on his reaction? Would she try to differentiate herself from Eva even more or would she strive to be more like her? Any of these could be great if done properly. *sigh* All we could do is hope, I guess.

If we get a dmc 6, I personally hope it has nothing to do with the Sparda bloodline. Not that I have anything against it, I've got plenty of love for Dante, Vergil, and Nero, but it would be cool to see the world saved by non sparda related heroes. Namely Trish and Lady who obviously deserve their own game. I just think it'd be fun to see them having a demon hunting road trip along with Nico while Nero takes some time off or whatever, only for this road trip to evolve into a world ending crisis. It's a hard fight, but the heroines manage to beat back the demons all on their own. Then the game could end with the joke of Nero coming in to save the day, only to find the final boss was already beaten

Not Trish related but I thought I should just share this retrospective thought: At the end of DMC5, when Dante and Vergil were fighting in the underworld, I love the specific way Vergil blocked Dante's stinger move (sideways, the same angle Yamato was split in DMC4) . I think that personified how far Vergil was able to come in the wake of finding out he had a son of his own, one that he IN FACT acknowledges in his ideals of power. I don't think that moment was just put there just to seem cool, if Dante had in fact surpassed Sparda in power, & himself & Sparda was able to battle Mundus into submission- Vergil lost to Mundus and Dante for reasons far beyond just power, a cavalcade of realism he began to fully comprehend once he fought his own offspring & Dante sent shots his way: "You cut off your own sons arm for more power, and STILL lost, lol". Vergil is beginning to comprehend something other than his obsessions thanks to Nero- through his more friendly, less aggressive attitude to Dante and his body language via closing cutscene. Sorry for the rant😭

Its hard to talk about Morrison though (even if its just about the redesign). Morrison's debut was only in anime. Are there even other supplementary material talk about Morrison? He's like Enzo from DMC1, only with more physical appearances than him. Later, during DMC 4, Lady is seen wearing a very revealing outfit, much like something Trish would wear, and in DMC 5, Lady wears black leather, much like Trish. It is never explicitly stated, but it would be quite interesting if Trish had an influence on Lady as seen through her sense of fashion, further showing their relationship.
2:27 The other thing to note, I think Capcom has started to realize Monster Hunter is sorta "Lightning in a bottle" in a sense with Western Audiences, while Devil May Cry is more like Fromsoftware's Armored Core or Chrome Hounds franchises where they have their hardcore fans (I should know I'm a fan of all 3 and then some), but other game franchises they own (namely Monster Hunter and Resident Evil for Capcom and the Souls/Bourne (and Sekiro) games for FromSoft), have more or less thrown their respective games under the radar, so they might not have as many resources to put into DMC with other franchises getting more attention. As for Fromsoft, I think their just ignoring Armored Core and Chrome Hounds despite games like Daemon X Machina coming out and proving people still want Mech games and Project Nimbus picking up a following, and this is glossing over Battletech/MechWarrior and Titanfall, but at the end of the day Devil May Cry is in a similar situation to Lost Planet for Capcom games, as they both have dedicated fans, but they got the shortest sticks and are probably low on Capcom's priorities, and in the case of LP not even on their Radar. (Not counting Mega Man considering 11's release, and all the older games getting remastered including all of the X/Z/ZX games)

I can only go off the English dub. So don't at me. But the exchange between the two characters goes something like this. Trish: "Didn't I tell you for years to go easy on the pizza? And don't tell me that's all you've been eating every day! God you're pathetic, do you know that?" Dante: "Please don't talk to me like you're my mum. We both know you aren't the maternal type." Something I kind of disagree with. Not because I want to see Trish with kids. (I don't think that would fit. Nor make sense in the slightest.) But because I think that when creating her, Mundus would have given her a sort of maternal trait or two. In order to lull Dante into a false sense of security. He did create Trish identical to Eva. So why not go the extra mile to try and ensure the plan of killing Dante? Making him lower his guard. A failed plan and I doubt it is the case. But hey, that's my little fan theory.
Lucia is also a demon, similar to Trish, in that she was created as nothing more than a puppet, to be used in a grander scheme. As per the prequel novel to DMC5, Lucia is likely the one with the biggest crush on Dante, so I would like to see further elaborations on that. Would be good to get a little more expansion on Lady, since she is still suffering guilt over killing Arkham. Though this isn't as necessary as say expanding on Trish, Kyrie and other secondary characters.

In terms of playful attitude, even in dmc 4 she also teased Lady for crushing on Dante which was a small detail that I don't know if people or Capcom forgot about it. But I think sooner or later she could play a factor if ever tapped into.

There is a Drama CD for the anime. In short, Trish leaves because her and Danté's current broker Enzo nearly died after coming into contact with a Devil Arm, and Trish chooses to leave so no other humans will be put in danger.
I made this comment on ur earlier video recently, but i'll leave the comment here also. Honestly Trish is one of the most interesting things about DMC for me. She's so mysterious. I have a hunch that itsuno doesn't care much for Trish because he is always so quick to get rid of her. She only seems to get side treatment (DMC2 shes written out of the story and is added as an unlockable playable character that is just rigged to Dante's earlier animations. DMC4SE she seems rather undone and again shares many things w/Dante instead of being wholly unique kinda like her MvC3 interaction. DMC5 well she was obviously just there as exposition) She's a lightning demon, so i always wondered what lightning demon Mundus based her off of, Griffin? Blitz? A homunculus of both? What do her insides look like? Are they human looking too? Is the Eva appearance her true form or does she have a more conventionally demonic "true" form? I really would like to see some interactions with Trish and Dante that explore Dante's thoughts and feelings on how he feels whenever he is face to face with Trish. How he feels about her having his mother's face and voice? Seriously, i know people who have developed a mother complex for less, but this man Dante practically has his mommy strutting her tight-leather clad butt around his shop like its nothing. Hell i got goosebumps from just hearing The Boss's voice come from an AI in MGS Peace Walker. How does Dante not full-on breakdown emotionally from the sight and voice of his long loss mother after so many years? Especially w/her kindness being such a huge impact on how he turned out as a man?
The irony of that request for that remake though. Devil May Cry exists because of Resident Evil. So its funny to hear a Devil May Cry remake be very horror like and compare it to Resident Evil
Hey!! You quickly became one of my favorite channels so I'm super grateful for the recognition. Also keep up the amazing work, deeper analysis of video game characters is an extremely underrated thing. I'd like to hope that more game designers look deeper into their creations too as time goes on, after all video games are an art form.
Ive always loved the DMC games but they all...lacked something? It's a little hard to describe. Like, they took the story and concepts from one type of game and gave it to another style of gaming. I mean yeah we have resident evil to thank for DMC....but yeah, I really enjoy the combo fest and dialog that is DMC but the whole series feels a little off to me. I play stuff like Nier, Deus Ex, zelda, Halo. Sure they are different but they all have interesting stories, good character design, well designed worlds, ect. DMC feels like I'm reading an incredible novel but pages are missing. Sure the combat is spot on but there could be more imo. Ah I'm probably just overthinking it. As for Trish? If Capcom just sat down, took their time, and gave her a game to herself? Perhaps a similar feel to Control or Infamous...maybe make it open world or even horror. I'd probably play dafuq out of it. Sure my idea is all over the place but thats what Capcom gets for not adding details to some dope characters.
I'm not going to lie as a big fan of the Devil May Cry series and not just because of Dante Nero or Virgil but the females that play an important role in the storyline and how they impacted Dante's life and you can pay the ones for even Nero and the Mysterious woman that gave birth to Nero's Life as a character and the Mysterious woman also giving an impact on Virgil's life as well I'm not really too sure about that but I do agree that there needs to be a game for the strong females of the DMC series not only that while on the topic of something like this at first I was thinking it would be cool to have a game centered around Trish lady and Lucia I also think they should be a great opportunity for Capcom to actually try to remake the games as well from 1 and 3

Mind you I never played any Platinum Games titles (I only tried that TMNT game made by them), outside of hearing the BIG hype that is Astral Chain... sooo... a refresher would be great, thank you. I mean even their action games (personal experience so far) are kinda samey. TMNT by Platinum Games gives this "button mashing" feeling and the super armor on enemies are just a total bummer. All that are accompanied by pretty colors, and superb visuals.

I just wanted to put this on top of my first comment and it should do with the first thing I was thinking of which was of course the Remake before I put my comment about Trish lady and Lucia but my comment is about this I know this is going to sound a little far-fetched but Capcom said if we did one remakes for any particular game we want to see down the line even though I am a little scared of that because of what happened with Resident Evil 3 but I think you'll be given the proper demand as fans for the first Devil May Cry game maybe two and three as well to see those areas done way more better a lot more extended because I did like the comment that that one person did meet about the whole entire first game and I would like to see this for the other games going forward getting remade as well and I think that we really do push the envelope Ass Fans to Capcom telling and I think that we really do push the envelope as fans of the Devil May Cry series to Capcom I think we could really convince them to actually maybe hear us out on why we want to remake for the first three games

In all honesty the only Capcom game that I can remember of the top of my head that's had a story that stuck with me is dead rising 1 and 2otr the whole meat processing part made sense at least to me and off the Record I can understand Maybe 10% but what they were going for it's the whole needing Queens for zombreks but they could just have easily done that to death-row criminals but the demand is probably a lot higher than the number of death-row criminals if you try to condense the stories of both into a paragraph they're both going to have I need more Pow-I mean products because without beef you cannot eat burgers and drugs are kind of important to but I could never live without hamburgers

there's a school of thought that they are due to assets in the background, esp some books in the library (DMC5) and in the station (RE2:R) it's probably just background programming in the RE Engine, but In my fanfic, that's view I've taken. (Umbrella's T-Virus is demon based and being used to build defences for humanity should the demons attack again. But it's a background detail, not the focus)

Would be good to get a little more expansion on Lady, since she is still suffering guilt over killing Arkham. Though this isn't as necessary as say expanding on Trish, Kyrie and other secondary characters.

In terms of playful attitude, even in dmc 4 she also teased Lady for crushing on Dante which was a small detail that I don't know if people or Capcom forgot about it. But I think sooner or later she could play a factor if ever tapped into.

4:04 I recall the Anime showing exactlty THAT in examples like Lady & Trish shopping or Lady jokingly wishing to a demon to make her tho most beautiful woman in the world. Lady's may not have portrayed some desire to feel sexy in dmc3, but would someone obsessed with killing her father bother with superficials?

There is a Drama CD for the anime. In short, Trish leaves because her and Danté's current broker Enzo nearly died after coming into contact with a Devil Arm, and Trish chooses to leave so no other humans will be put in danger.
And she leaves to find Devil Arms.

Honestly Trish is one of the most interesting things about DMC for me. She's so mysterious. I have a hunch that itsuno doesn't care much for Trish because he is always so quick to get rid of her. She only seems to get side treatment (DMC2 shes written out of the story and is added as an unlockable playable character that is just rigged to Dante's earlier animations. DMC4SE she seems rather undone and again shares many things w/Dante instead of being wholly unique kinda like her MvC3 interaction. DMC5 well she was obviously just there as exposition)
She's a lightning demon, so i always wondered what lightning demon Mundus based her off of, Griffin? Blitz? A homunculus of both? What do her insides look like? Are they human looking too? Is the Eva appearance her true form or does she have a more conventionally demonic "true" form?
I really would like to see some interactions with Trish and Dante that explore Dante's thoughts and feelings on how he feels whenever he is face to face with Trish. How he feels about her having his mother's face and voice? Seriously, i know people who have developed a mother complex for less, but this man Dante practically has his mommy strutting her tight-leather clad butt around his shop like its nothing. Hell i got goosebumps from just hearing The Boss's voice come from an AI in MGS Peace Walker. How does Dante not full-on breakdown emotionally from the sight and voice of his long loss mother after so many years? Especially w/her kindness being such a huge impact on how he turned out as a man?
The irony of that request for that remake though. Devil May Cry exists because of Resident Evil. So its funny to hear a Devil May Cry remake be very horror like and compare it to Resident Evil

Ive always loved the DMC games but they all...lacked something? It's a little hard to describe. Like, they took the story and concepts from one type of game and gave it to another style of gaming. I mean yeah we have resident evil to thank for DMC....but yeah, I really enjoy the combo fest and dialog that is DMC but the whole series feels a little off to me. I play stuff like Nier, Deus Ex, zelda, Halo. Sure they are different but they all have interesting stories, good character design, well designed worlds, ect. DMC feels like I'm reading an incredible novel but pages are missing. Sure the combat is spot on but there could be more imo. Ah I'm probably just overthinking it. As for Trish? If Capcom just sat down, took their time, and gave her a game to herself? Perhaps a similar feel to Control or Infamous...maybe make it open world or even horror. I'd probably play dafuq out of it. Sure my idea is all over the place but thats what Capcom gets for not adding details to some dope characters.
I'm not going to lie as a big fan of the Devil May Cry series and not just because of Dante Nero or Virgil but the females that play an important role in the storyline and how they impacted Dante's life and you can pay the ones for even Nero and the Mysterious woman that gave birth to Nero's Life as a character and the Mysterious woman also giving an impact on Virgil's life as well I'm not really too sure about that but I do agree that there needs to be a game for the strong females of the DMC series not only that while on the topic of something like this at first I was thinking it would be cool to have a game centered around Trish lady and Lucia I also think they should be a great opportunity for Capcom to actually try to remake the games as well from 1 and 3

How so? Mind you I never played any Platinum Games titles (I only tried that TMNT game made by them), outside of hearing the BIG hype that is Astral Chain... sooo... a refresher would be great, thank you.
I mean even their action games (personal experience so far) are kinda samey. TMNT by Platinum Games gives this "button mashing" feeling and the super armor on enemies are just a total bummer. All that are accompanied by pretty colors, and superb visuals.

The thing about trish in for is that her body model is kyrie model, while they were going for a sexier design i can understand why you see it that way cuz her model is such a drastic change from 3

I just wanted to put this on top of my first comment and it should do with the first thing I was thinking of which was of course the Remake before I put my comment about Trish lady and Lucia but my comment is about this I know this is going to sound a little far-fetched but Capcom said if we did one remakes for any particular game we want to see down the line even though I am a little scared of that because of what happened with Resident Evil 3 but I think you'll be given the proper demand as fans for the first Devil May Cry game maybe two and three as well to see those areas done way more better a lot more extended because I did like the comment that that one person did meet about the whole entire first game and I would like to see this for the other games going forward getting remade as well and I think that we really do push the envelope Ass Fans to Capcom telling and I think that we really do push the envelope as fans of the Devil May Cry series to Capcom I think we could really convince them to actually maybe hear us out on why we want to remake for the first three games

I think capcom should make prequel to devil may cry exploring sparta story and the underworld and another prequel for lady and trish diving deep in there characters.
In all honesty the only Capcom game that I can remember of the top of my head that's had a story that stuck with me is dead rising 1 and 2otr the whole meat processing part made sense at least to me and off the Record I can understand Maybe 10% but what they were going for it's the whole needing Queens for zombreks but they could just have easily done that to death-row criminals but the demand is probably a lot higher than the number of death-row criminals if you try to condense the stories of both into a paragraph they're both going to have I need more Pow-I mean products because without beef you cannot eat burgers and drugs are kind of important to but I could never live without hamburgers

@@Cabolt44 While there's obvious references, too much crazy shit happens in the DMC games for Bayo to not get involved if they were in the same universe. Same applies vice versa.
there's a school of thought that they are due to assets in the background, esp some books in the library (DMC5) and in the station (RE2:R) it's probably just background programming in the RE Engine, but In my fanfic, that's view I've taken. (Umbrella's T-Virus is demon based and being used to build defences for humanity should the demons attack again. But it's a background detail, not the focus)
