AWESOME video with detailed instructions. I saved money today thanks to this 4 yr old video...Thank you, sir!
That’s what I like to hear !!!
Nice video. I learned the hard way. I had marker lights out on my trailer. My nephew ( boss) said you can fix that, dont take it to the truck stop! I hated troubleshooting wiring issues. Needless to say i didnt listen and it ended up costing HIM 400 bucks ( he owns the trailer) he was not happy, and i dont blame him! From that point on, i watched video after video on 12v electrical wiring repair. ITS NOT THAT BAD! Today, im gonna fix a left turn signal on my trailer. Instead of just fixing the one wire, im gonna replace the light and pigtail. I figure if one wire is greened out they are ALL probably in need of attention. Im NOT a 30 year veteran trucker, but im learning. ANYTHING you can do yourself, DO IT! these truckstops and service centers LOVE to see a operator from out of state roll in needing repairs. They start drooling and they WILL hose you every chance they get! I spent THOUSANDS last year on repair bills, about 40 % of my gross income !!!!! No more! Learn EVERYTHING YOU CAN about your trucks ENGINE, WIRING, TURBO, HOSES, BRAKES, AIR LINES, LIGHTS, FUSES, EVERYTHING. Ya my resets i like to relax, but thats when we need to be crawling all over our trucks looking for potential problems. Greasing slack adjusters, checking air lines. Im not a super trucker, but im learning. And here is a big issue. If another guy is having trouble, maybe see if you can help him or her out. You may not be able to. But he may have the same truck you do, and in helping him, you will learn how to fix YOUR TRUCK in the future. Jmho.
Thank you so much! Love learning how to DIY and video postings like this are invaluable!
I really try my best to make videos that tell everything, even though they end up longer then what you find on other channels. I enjoy knowing that people are learning the process!!!
Thank you it is easy demo and I have exact same problem. It works for me 👍👍👍
Your very welcome !!!! I am glad that I could help you out !!!!
Apply a little weather caulking to secure the 3 wires at the plug . Use heat shrink wire butt connectors and add an additional shrink tubing over it . Use silicone tape covered with quality 3M electrical tape . Good video !
Thank you !!
Great info sir!
Thank you
Thankyou !
Thank you for your video
You are very welcome !!!!!
Thank you
Your welcome, thanks for watching !!
I like led lights they r brighter
Thanks so much for this video. How do you get the light frame off? Does it just pop off with a flathead? Thanks
On my truck you raise the hood , on the back side of the headlight assembly there is a black light cover , about the size of a hand , there is a clip on the top, release the top , then it’s hind fed in on the bottom, just lightly pull out .
As for the light bulb it twists into light assembly,
The light bulb has a plug on the bottom, with a simple clip .
Takes only about a minute to remove everything. .
And your welcome
Would this also work for a Cascadia? . Having same issue with lights.
Yes
I replaced mines and they work fine but I keep getting an alert on my dash to repair fault.
Must have a bad ground or harness has an issue. I have never got a code over tail lights .
Thank you. Great video for ignorant people like me. Lol
🤦🏻♂️😂
At what cost ? Not the cost of the truckstop, forget that .
