Thanks Rick. The barrow sounds pretty cool. How about you post a pic or two on my DIY For Knuckleheads Facebook Page? Here's the link facebook.com/DiyForKnuckleheads?ref=h That way we can all check out your handy work. Cheers
Thanks Unk. Great project that shows me how to use a couple of old planks that washed off our local jetty in a storm! I guess I’m turning into a real DIY timber scavenger with a little hep from Uncle Nackers on ideas how to use ‘em.
Thanks Knackers! you inspired me to make some recycled furniture and i finished my first project last weekend. (computer bench for the mrs). And thanks to you, i also have been getting funny looks while driving around with pallets stacked on our sedan. cheers again knackers and keep the good vids coming
I love watching your videos, you crack me up and you make everything so easy to understand. My husband and I just moved into our home and we are building everything for it. I would love to see you build some barstools with backs on them so that I can watch and learn how to do it myself! Thanks for all the entertaining and educational videos!
G'day Shelby....thanks for watching, l really appreciate it....maybe down the track l might have a crack at those barstools. We'll just have to wait and see. Cheers 👍😁
My fiance and I love watching your videos! :) He's started building our furniture out of both new and reclaimed wood and he's done a fantastic job of it. Thanks to your videos, I now have ideas for several Christmas gifts. :D
I was feeling a bit down today and watched your video your such a nice guy it has really lifted me up I'm going to go up to the shed and make something and thank you from Ireland for sharing these good luck
I love all your videos. you make them enjoyable to watch. I'm a builder myself an it's nice to see how others make their projects. I just wish you had more videos
Thank you for this video. I have just made one at 1050mm long by 450mm wide with a one piece treated board as the table top with 6 screws holding it down. I made mine from an old pallet.
Oh it would be great to see something like patio furniture from pallets... guess who just got some various sized pallets, lol. With the possibility of even more...
Thanks a lot man ,you gave a new meaning to make a job with old pallets and old wood ...a learned a lot from you ...cough and coffee ...for a guy like me who speaks portugues its a new joke to learn i already subscribed at your chanel and live a thumbs up ...thanks again.
Thanks Tepic94. I appreciate the comment. I'd love to see the end product. How about you upload a pic or two to my DIY For Knuckleheads Facebook Page? Here's the link just in case you want to. facebook.com/DiyForKnuckleheads?ref=h Cheers
im loving your channel, and am somewhat of a pallateer too! im planing on making a garden bench seat. Would love to see you make one so i can pinch your techniques!
G'day Furball. Thanks for that mate. Yeah l really liked the keyhole. It made it a little more authentic. As far as the painters plank goes, l'm not really sure. I just like it because it showed a lot of age to it. I actually found it on the side of the road after a local council hard rubbish pick up. Cheers
Thanks Houtjeboom. I was in two minds as to whether to paint it or not and decided to give it a paint job as l already have a lot of unpainted rustic furniture in my house. In the end l was glad l painted it as it turned out really well. Cheers mate
cheers Shane, you ripper love your vids I'm a carpenter by trade but now an operations director with a Uk construction company, i use your vids for bonding time with my 13 year old boy to show him the art and teach him life skills no other compare mate keep them coming.. by the way do you sell the pieces you make just wondered ...
G'day Richie. Thanks again mate. I haven't sold anything yet but l am thinking about it. I'll let you know if l do. Cheers mate and l'm glad that your son likes the vids too :-)
Very nice! I've never done a table top joining boards like that, but would like to soon. What would you recommend to do in place of the biscuits, since I don't have a jointer?
it would be really nice if you put the paint details on your info. Ive been binge watching all your DIY, because I just moved in to a new city. I'd rather do DIY scrap furnitures than buy new sets. Besides the clear varnish, what do you usually use to get that rustic paint? Thank you!
Hey Uncle Knack, I can't seem to find the "bench thingy" video you put out ... I have a need to build a couple of those and your design was spot on "RUSTIC".
Thanks Marc. I'm not sure yet. I haven't done a DIY video for a while so l might make one of those instead of building something. We'll see what happens. Cheers mate
Oh my gosh, my daughter will demand this lol. Ok, I have a question for you. I have four grandsons who I always do crafts with for Mother's Day and Father's Day presents, do you have anything in your videos that would make a good Father's Day project. It's important for me to teach them they can make cool things when their kids, so they will love making their own things when their adults. My Dad did wood working, so maybe it's more genetic than being taught lol
Hi Donna, it's fantastic that your kids are getting involved! Kudos to you for encouraging them. My last two Scrap Wood videos would be perfect. I'll link to them here. let me know what you think and good luck! 👍😁😁 ua-cam.com/video/8gozBf9kGRQ/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/sOrvk5Q5qvw/v-deo.html Cheers 👍
Thanks AngeV. You can certainly use dowels and the gun is a Paslode 16 gauge Bradder. It's a gas / battery gun. Not a bad little unit. I've had mine for about 8 years and it's still going strong. You just have to make sure that you get it serviced regularly . Cheers :-)
Thanks mate. You can pick one up for around $100 Aussie dollars which will do the job. There are more expensive ones around (probably better quality and with more features) but my little cheapy is fine for me. Cheers
hola amigo saludos desde Argentina..excelente todo lo que haces con pallets la verdad..como se llama maquina que usas en el minuto 1:45?..gracias muy buenos tus videos!
They're not always flat Simeon. Having said that, l go to a bit of effort to make sure that the pallets l get are in pretty good shape. If they are warped l just get my planer out and give them a bit of a buzz. Cheers
+shaneconlan1 ah got you..! I found a palette last night lurking nearby. Thing is I have to go late at night by stealth to retrieve it from the skip. Don't want people to think I am dumping stuff rather than taking. Thanks for the replies. 🤗

Great project. I love recycled wood projects. Just made a wheel barrow planter out of old pallets for my wifes flowers. Turned out great.
Thanks Rick. The barrow sounds pretty cool. How about you post a pic or two on my DIY For Knuckleheads Facebook Page? Here's the link facebook.com/DiyForKnuckleheads?ref=h

That table is awesome and I love the colors.
Thanks Unk. Great project that shows me how to use a couple of old planks that washed off our local jetty in a storm!

I like how you made a keyhole missing its hardware, little details like those are really cool!
What type of wood was that painter's plank?
G'day Furball. Thanks for that mate. Yeah l really liked the keyhole. It made it a little more authentic. As far as the painters plank goes, l'm not really sure. I just like it because it showed a lot of age to it. I actually found it on the side of the road after a local council hard rubbish pick up. Cheers
pretty cool
Thanks Vitalii.
Very nice project ,Thank you!
If I was you I wouldn't paint the table....cause it was nice and rustic allready. :-)
Thanks Houtjeboom. I was in two minds as to whether to paint it or not and decided to give it a paint job as l already have a lot of unpainted rustic furniture in my house. In the end l was glad l painted it as it turned out really well. Cheers mate

A nice project! I noticed you didn’t cut the leg taper until assembled. Wondering if it would be easier when they were separate boards?
Thanks for that mate 👍 It is actually easier once the boards have been attached like in the video 👍👍
Very nice! I've never done a table top joining boards like that, but would like to soon. What would you recommend to do in place of the biscuits, since I don't have a jointer?

Mate, just type in to UA-cam 'how to build a bench seat' and it'll be there. Good luck with it. Cheers mate
Saludos Amigo, buen trabajo.
Gracias Ricardo. Alegra que os haya gustado.
How do you get the biscuit slots aligned on all the boards you plan to put together as the table top?
Really love it!
I had to try making something rustic!
Aren't you afraid about woddworms in so rustic timber?
ty for sharing!
Thanks Christian. Wood worms don't seem to be an issue. Not in the stuff that l've done anyway. Cheers mate
Great tip Knackers!! What's the next video going to be on?
Thanks Marc. I'm not sure yet. I haven't done a DIY video for a while so l might make one of those instead of building something. We'll see what happens. Cheers mate

doyle201206 I'll give you that one regarding the Meatlovers :-) Cheers
Super!
Alex G Thanks Alex! Glad you liked it. Cheers :-)
Great video and project. Out of interest what make is your nail gun?
Thanks Carpentrius. My gun's a Paslode. I've had it for about 5 years. Cheers mate
What type of nail gun do you use thanks for your terrific videos
Thanks Mervyn! It's a Paslode 16 Gauge bradder....excellent gun 👍😁🇦🇺
You are as mad as a box of frogs but you make some great videos! Keep it up! Right...where's my nearest timber yard??
I'll take that as a compliment Mark :-) Thanks for watching and for the comment. Cheers mate
Bowled Shane! what are the specs on the nail gun ? could i use something else other than the joiner ? dowels?
Thanks AngeV. You can certainly use dowels and the gun is a Paslode 16 gauge Bradder. It's a gas / battery gun. Not a bad little unit. I've had mine for about 8 years and it's still going strong. You just have to make sure that you get it serviced regularly . Cheers :-)
Great job! Which drawer pull did you decide on? I saw two different ones in the pictures.
Thanks Ralph. I'm not sure yet. I think l might just interchange them from time to time. I think they both look good. Cheers mate
I had to watch again to check this. True. I hope he went with the dangly type one. But how awesome does the finished product look! Love it :)
vanexxa081 Thanks Vanexxa. I dangly one is what is on it now. I also have another one which is around 100 years old that l might try as well. Cheers
Great job knackers! Enjoyed the video :) quick question, how much would you spend on a biscuit joiner? :)
Thanks mate. You can pick one up for around $100 Aussie dollars which will do the job. There are more expensive ones around (probably better quality and with more features) but my little cheapy is fine for me. Cheers
Here in the UK they go anywhere for £30-£300, I just want a basic one so I'll have to see :) thanks!
Uncovered Tech Mate, mines pretty basic and it does the job. Good luck with it.
I Love it a Cough fee table hahaa thx for sharing lol
Knackers where do you get the pull knobs that you use on your drawer facings?
Mate l get them from one of the local shops in my street. They're made from one of the locals. Cheers
hola amigo saludos desde Argentina..excelente todo lo que haces con pallets la verdad..como se llama maquina que usas en el minuto 1:45?..gracias muy buenos tus videos!
elduro1422 Thanks Elduro! The machine at 1:45 is called a biscuit Joiner. :-)
Good vid
Cheers mate and thanks for the sub. Cheers
Shane... your boards, planks always seem flat. Do you ever use a planer? Would you hand plane them if they were warped or not flat? Cheers mate.
beautiful .
Thanks mate.
Do you have a brother? You could be a pair of knackers!!
Is you back garden known as the knackers yard?
Sorry british sense of humour!
Great vid
