I know you posted this almost two years ago, but just wanted to encourage you both that these videos are STILL impacting others today! Thank you so much for taking the time to make them and I'm looking forward to watching and learning from the other videos on your channel. (I have more questions, so I'm hoping to see the answers there before I message you to ask!) Thank you again for your easy to understand, VERY motivating presentations, as well as all the hard work that was put into every video! And hats off to Dr. Keith for being willing to be a guinea pig! Blessings to you both!
I cried as I watched this video. When your wife stated that she had to face the fact that she would lose you in the future because of your health, I realized that I also face that future with ones I love. I do not seem able to motivate them, but I will try to live a life that sets a good example when it comes to nutrition and health.
I also started mid January a 30 day challenge, not knowing how it would work. At 55, 3 yrs after menopause, went from 151.2 to 133, the lowest I've been since high school, it works. My twin sister also did it and her daughter lost 40 lbs. We all wear a size 8, crazy!
Thanks Keith for sharing and encouragement. I am 69 years old and was 306 lbs and now little over a year down to mid 250 where you began so I still have more to lose but feeling better and yes I too am looking forward to seeing my abs again. You and Becky are amazing examples of how to make Ketogenic a way of life
You have a great personality in these videos! Am really surprised to learn you think otherwise. I love the way you and Dr Becky interact and appreciate the honesty of you bring to this. Thank you for the inspiration and the encouragement.
If it wasn't for people like you sharing you success, we would all be working hard instead of working smart. Since I started the ketogenic plan, I have been losing 10lbs a month consistently. All I ever wanted was to feel satisfied after eating and Keto is the answer for me. The information you and others provide is invaluable. Thanks so much to you and Dr Becky.
Honest and full of integrity. A true inspiration for a guy with insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome and AC1 of 6.1. On 16:8 IF with marginal results over the last few months. My kid brother went on Keto and lost 44 lbs. My turn for Keto with some IF. Thank you.
Thank you Dr. Keith. I really appreciate what you and your wife are doing, it's awesome. Thank you for going out of your comfort zone to share how you got to where you are. You look fantastic, if I can say.
Thank you for your honesty and sincerity. I had been on Keto last year but was made fun by a family member in front of other people about how much fat I was eating that I came off of the way of eating. I gained back the 20 pounds I had lost. I am insulin resistant so Keto was the only thing that ever worked for me. I have been praying and trying to get the motivation back to start again. As a person in my 50’s I want to lose the 40 plus pounds before health issues occur. After listening to you I am going to get back on track with Keto... for me to be a better me.. Thanks again
Judy...... you can do it. I got back on Keto after a 1 year hiatus, and am combining it with IF (Intermittent Fasting). It can be done. I m 42 years old and my start weight was 299lbs. I am now down to 269 after 4 months (30 pounds). You can do it. I now have my wife on it as well. The key is finding alternatives for the food you like. There are so many choices out there now than htere was 10 years ago. For me, I LOVE mashed cauliflower. Steaming it yourself tastes 1000 times better than frozen stuff. I add garlic butter, sour cream, Cheddar cheese and bacon ot it. It is so good and only 4 net carbs a cup :) Also for bread get substitutes get Joseph's Pita's (split them in half). And for sweet cravings keep a supply of Sugar free chocolate and eat just 1 or 2 pieces. Again go online and start goggling low-carb foods. You will be surprised. Don't give up.
This here. I just watched all 30 of these videos and this is the one. Even though I am a few months into this latest journey, this is the kicker. With a family history of heart disease, diabetes and hypercholesterol issues, this is also my "why". I want to retire at 62, 4 years from now, and I don't want to go into retirement with a fully self-inflicted medical problem. And yes, even as a female, we snore like a buzzsaw. I am down 18.2 pounds in 7 weeks. For the first time I am doing clean, healthy Keto instead of dirty Keto. And although I have said it before, and yes my family does not believe it, this will be my last "diet". This will just be the new "normal". And yes, you made me cry on this one. But thank you both for sharing your journey, and God bless.
Thank you so much, Keith, for your honesty. I completely understand what you were going through before you lost the weight. I have been watching your videos the last 2 weeks and reading books and I am starting tomorrow. I need to lose 35 pounds. Thank you so much for you and Becky's help!
This was heart warming. I got emotional again listening to you tell your story. Food addiction is a very real struggle. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Your 0-1-2-3 plan is a simple way to attack Keto. Thanks for sharing that, as it helps me visualize my day and get in enough vegetables and fats. You and Dr. Becky have such calm voices. It's almost therapeutic...lol...
What an excellent video Dr Keith. I too had a similar situation. Down 85 pounds. You and Dr Becky have been outstanding during my wife n I journey. She’s lost 50 plus pounds.
Keith, thank you so much, I appreciate hearing your story. It gives the rest of us hope. My sister and I tried Keto for last year and we both continued for the same reason, it gets rid of the bloat! She is still on it for that reason alone, we didn't lose very much weight. I'm 66, she's 63, we've been slender all our lives... UNTIL we hit 60! It's a whole new planet then. Forced to find all new rules. I have never liked meat very much. I'm now seeing results doing what sounds similar to your wife's plan of 0123. It's easy and clear. No sugar, breads. I've got dairy down to just a bit of cheese and butter. I allow myself one fruit a day, a variety but mostly berries or an apple. Rest is veggies...salads and soups. Thanks for your honesty, it really helps many. Diane
On January 2nd I weighed 263 lbs. Today, February 21st I weigh 246 lbs. Your videos have inspired me. I started low carb then moved into Keto. Thank you for sharing. I want to be around to watch my grandchildren grow up.
Dr. Keith, thanks so much for sharing. Your wife's words to you resonated with me. This is a talk I have been having with myself about my husband. This past Labor Day he was hospitalized due to signs and symptoms of a heart attack. We have tried low carb diet in the past with results but only to put the weight back on. This past year , like you, found the Ketogenic Diet. I have had very good, consistent results with this "lifestyle." My husband on the other hand has not been as discipline. He is now on medication, something we once pride ourselves on not having to take. We are only in our mid forties and I may be facing a future that may not include my Smart, Sweet husband for as long as I had hoped; Forever. Thank You for All You and Mrs. Keith do for others.(Sorry for the typos can't stop crying )
thanks keith been wanting to lose weight for a long time now its my birthday and i started today gonna do it , time to suit up and show up because i owe it to myself, climb utility pole for a living and i live in texas where its hot as hell i will have a heart attack if i dont do it now !!!! good for you brother right along side ya !!!
I really felt your situation! You are honest, you have shown your weakness and your amazing strength! It’s not easy to do what you have done but you did it!! Congratulations!
I found Dr. Becky this past summer and have enjoyed both channels ever since. You are excellent teachers and motivators. You helped me realize/discover that I am insulin resistant (gestational diabetic-diet controlled each of my 6 pregnancies, so I knew to live a healthy lifestyle). I had been working hard at the gym five days a week (for 6 years) and eating low carb, like Dr. Becky-100 grams of carbs each day, but stayed 15 pounds heavier than I should have been until I found you!!! It has been about three months of keeping carbs below 50g-many days 20g or less-along with intermittent fasting. Voila! Ten pounds gone and only 5ish more to go. Like you, Dr. Keith, I just want my body fat to the atlete level. Why? Because I work so hard in the gym and with my diet, that is where it SHOULD be. Haha! Thanks you two! Love your channel and have shared with friends. I can't help but wonder as I go through life how many other people I see are also insulin resistant. It's so unfair. 🙃
I never saw your journey so I’m binge watching now. Keith I got emotional with you when you described how your family reacted to your struggle to lose weight. I also know how it feels to try AGAIN another plan and fail. I was where you were, back in 2016 I was 201 pounds at 5’7”. Nothing worked. WW which was successful for me in my late 20’s, didn’t work anymore for me in my 50’s. 5 years after I’ve decided to try keto I’ve lost 60 pounds and feel amazing! (The virus did have me gaining some back of which I’m losing again) The PHD is fantastic and works!! Congratulations on your continued success ❤️
You're an inspiration, I'm four months into the Keto diet and have lost 40 lbs, from a starting weight of 285.8. I hope I can say 79 lbs. after a year!
My friend turned me on to Keto and another friend turned me on to 2fitdocs - very grateful to my friends and to you and Dr. Becky. I’m on a journey now with a long way to go, but I’m finally doing it!! Thank you for your help!!
We all have a responsibility to stick around this planet as long as we can. That, trying to be a positive influence on our families, friends, and communities. Well done Keith.
Love this video Dr Keith. I too struggled with weight for decades and was so confused. I do not nor ever have eaten burgers, cookies, candy, never liked any of it, no fast food nothing. Yet my weight ballooned. I went to a personal trainer and worked like a dog for 5 years while having a diet recommended by a nutritionist, and my weight ballooned more. I was eating no fat, I ate beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc etc, grains............. I finally gave up and just said I have no idea whats wrong with me. Some weeks ago I started the Keto having come across videos like yours and am in my third week and love it.
Thank you Dr. Keith for your honesty! I know that battle and I pray I can stay on track. Weight loss is slow for me and your words are encouraging - reminding me it’s for life not for a “time of dieting”!! Thank you and 🙏🙏🙏
BTW, I’m watching this 5 years after your post so you’re still encouraging people to change. Like you, I’m very insulin resistant and only lost 17 pounds in 3 months while my husband (like your wife) is down almost 40 lbs. 🤪 Anyway, we just have to get back on the lifestyle and keep fighting the battle for our health!! THAN YOU for this video. 👏👏👏
Keith: Your courage and tenacity has set you free. So happy, truly, for you and your family. God bless you (and Becky) in your endeavors to help others.
I am a 53 woman and weighed 234 lbs this morning. I have been inspired by your videos (which I am catching up on) and have been eating low carb for the last 2-3 weeks). I have lost 5lbs in the last few weeks eating low carb, very similar to your 0123 guidelines. My sugar cravings have gone and I feel less bloated. I am doing the 16/8 fasting method too and that makes me feel so much more in control of my food. You are an inspiration and your honesty is wonderful to watch.
Thanks for sharing Keith. Sharing this video with my husband who I often worry about too. May you reach you Reacher weight and health goal. Congrats on the weight-loss,👍
I’ve just discovered this channel after watching some of Dr Becky’s videos and finding them interesting enough to dip into your weight loss journey. This was a truly moving video, you are very inspiring, as is your wife, and I wanted to thank you for opening up about your reasons for starting this journey, and allowing us all to watch your progress so openly. It has been eye opening for me. I am 45 and 190 lbs and am desperate to lose at least 65lbs before I have breast reconstruction surgery (I’ve just had breast cancer and a mastectomy) as I am terrified of the risk of dying in surgery, as well as the possibility of cancer returning if I don’t improve my health. I’m taking tamoxifen medication and my oncologist has told me that losing weight whilst on this medication is “impossible” but after seeing what you have achieved in only one year, being “weight loss resistant”, you have inspired me to start my own weight loss journey and really go for it for myself, my future and my family. Thank you.
I am starting the same journey as you, pretty much from the same point weight-wise - except that I already have diabetes type 2. I had already started intermittent fasting a couple of days before I started watching your videos, but you (along with Dr Boz on her channel) have encouraged me to also go keto. I am 24 hours into going keto and my fasting blood sugars are now 122, which is good for me. I had to ditch my Metformin yesterday because by blood sugars were running at an average of 91.8 from 1pm to the time I went to bed. Not so long ago I had a fasting blood sugar count of 198. I know at 122 my fasting blood sugars can be better - but I'm happy they're moving in the right direction, at least. Also, for the first time in 20 years I managed to run on my treadmill at 4.5mph for 15 mins - so I felt good about that. I wanted to thank you and your wife for the powerfully encouraging videos that you have been putting out. All the best to you and your family - and congratulations on your massive weight loss!
Your message is getting out, I’ve learned a lot from y’all and have a similar story. 3 months ago I was the pizza guy. Now I’m on less than 15 carbs a day and really can’t even fathom the thought of a pizza. I started at 330+ and am at 280 now. Keep it up, thank you both
I just finished watching all your journey. Inspiring. We are gonna try again. I never lose but you sound like me. I obviously was doing something wrong. Here goes!
When Love is speaking it s sound so powerful. Thinx for sharing. It shows how acceptance and our family can be a major part of success. Life is more funny for our soul in a cool vehicle ! A fit doctor.
Thank you for this video Dr Keith. I'm getting prepped to begin the 21 day challenge. I've lost 60 lbs doing a lazy keto not tracking anything and for the past month I've been eating sugar and carbs again. Afraid to see what I've gained so now is the time to start the challenge and lose my next 60 plus any gains. I started at 285 and have at least 140 lbs to lose. Thank you for this channel!
Thank you, this is very inspiring. You and Dr Becky are so cute together. Love the interaction between you in these videos. Please continue, you are helping so many.
You have accomplished SO much & what an amazing inspiration you are to myself & others! Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us! I'm happy for you & Becky... many, many more years together! Stick with it Keith... you found the answer for your woe to live happily & healthier...kudos to you! I'm considering the program & Becky's help, but I really like IF & wondering if I can work the program around that as well. I'm tired of paying for weight loss stuff & it not being the answer for me. I only need to lose 30 lbs but I want to be healthy - so keto speaks to my fear that I will eventually develop bad health issues, even though, right now I'm relatively healthy - other than the 30lbs gained from my hormone replacement & quarantine.
You should do a Video showing the pictures of the different stages of the weight loss. It is super motivating SEEING the progression a quick video. Might really get you guys some views.
Great testimony of your love for your family & their love for you. I think you are very comfortable in front of the camera in your videos, though I can understand this one is a bit different. Thanks to you and Dr Becky
THANK YOU BOTH for your dedication to getting these video out and explaining details of the same. It is SO HELPFUL. I am in the same boat with Mr Keith (well not now that you have lost CONGRATULATIONS!) but ALWAYS losing the same 8-10 lbs. Ironically I've lost my grand total in just those same 10 lbs. over the years. But NOW I know what I have to do to be successful. THANK YOU AGAIN SO VERY MUCH!!!
Many years back I grew to a massive size 50 waist then in my 20s and for me keeping trim was 40 waist so being a 34" at 50+ proves age isn't a barrier and Keto keeps one fuller longer,,,no more low fat anything,,,I cut out sugar, processed food,,,19 weeks in this is sustainable and I feel youthfully again, maybe loose 1 more stone,,,,,but yours is an incredible journey,,,,,,,,,
Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey and story with us! I am more encouraged and more excited about adopting, again, the Keto lifestyle. I should have been more diligent with it when I was first diagnosed with insulin resistance and hypothyroidism. Well done sir, well done!
Hello Dr. Keith, Thank you for for sharing your heart with the world. A little about me ... I am a 47 year old beauty brown queen. I have struggled with my weight all of my adult life, and I know I need to make a complete change. The change is hard when you are a really great cook, and food is everywhere. I think I am at the point of looking at obesity as a disease and food as a drug. The point of your story touching my heart is when your wife conversated with you of accepting the discomfort of her latter years. My connection with you is: My husband and I are both fat people . We have 2 boys that are 7 and 11. ..I am a year and a half working on my doctorate ..My husband has a PH.D...and we both love food. Regards Dr. Keith and keep pushing through. Karen
Thank you for sharing, not a easy thing for most guys to do, but I’m glad you did. I started watching your videos and they are super helpful, Dr. Becky and you are great, presenting info in easy to understand terms. I have lost a bit over 30lbs and continue to march on to my goal. Thank you again!
Thank you, dr Keith, for sharing your story. I have had a similar weight story and your videos have really motivated me to try intermittent fasting and a keto diet. I will be tracking my results. Let’s see what happens. Congratulations on your success!
Congratulations. Well done. I'm so proud of you. Thanks for sharing. I have 110 more pounds I'm determined to lose. I'm confident what I'm doing will work. I just understand more of the science of how my body works now, and it's requirements. You and Dr. Becky have helped me gain that knowledge so I thank you. I am poor so I cannot afford your paid course but the knowledge you generously share for free is of high value to me. Thank you.
Dr keith you are an inspiration what you have achieved has been amazing to see. Thank you for sharing with us your life’s journeys. As the Trekkies would say “live long and prosper “🖖
Thanks for sharing this. You’ve done an amazing job. You’re an inspiration to me. I have been on more diets than I can count, and like you said, they pretty much sucked. Plus a calorie restriction diet slows the metabolism, so eventually the weight loss slows, you give up, and gain even more weight. It’s a nasty cycle. Now I follow a keto approach. I don’t consider it a diet per se, but an approach to food. I have a long way to go to reach my goal weight, but I don’t see it as a journey bc I am not doing anything other than eating as you are - LCHF. It’s not ‘hard’. Thanks again. I am watching and enjoying all your videos.
Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing this very important milestone. I started watching your journey and it inspired me to also make a change for my health. As of July I began this Keto life style and I have lost 45 lbs, I still have a ways to go but I’m off all of my blood pressure medications except 1 and I feel great! So thank you for sharing your struggles and successes and allowing me to see your journey to a healthy lifestyle, it has truly been a blessing for me.
Thank you for your honesty Sharing your journey!when you play with Sticky note you can really hear it in video. Great job keep up good work! thanks Jennifer
Thanks for being vulnerable and going out of your comfort zone to help others.

That's a great goal Jim! And, 50+ pounds down? Awesome!
Are you the same Jim Battaglia that worked foe Nojaim's in Syracuse, New York?
Thanks for the honesty! It takes a lot of strength to be able to connect like this.
From the heart. Thank you!
Beautiful, heartfelt honesty.
Thanks Terra!
You have a great personality in these videos! Am really surprised to learn you think otherwise.

Thank you for this video - it takes A LOT of guts to get in front of a camera and share such a personal story. Congratulations on your transformation!

We all have a responsibility to stick around this planet as long as we can. That, trying to be a positive influence on our families, friends, and communities. Well done Keith.
Love this video Dr Keith. I too struggled with weight for decades and was so confused. I do not nor ever have eaten burgers,
cookies, candy, never liked any of it, no fast food nothing. Yet my weight ballooned. I went to a personal trainer and worked
like a dog for 5 years while having a diet recommended by a nutritionist, and my weight ballooned more.
Happy Anniversary of “Take charge of your Health Day”! You both are helping me lose some extra weight I have had for decades!
Keith: Your courage and tenacity has set you free. So happy, truly, for you and your family. God bless you (and Becky) in your endeavors to help others.
Your candor is refreshing. Thank you for sharing.
It's good to hear your story Keith. Thanks for giving hope!
Thanks for sharing Keith. Sharing this video with my husband who I often worry about too. May you reach you Reacher weight and health goal. Congrats on the weight-loss,👍
Congratulations 🎈 and thank you for being transparent
Brilliant sentence.. lots of hope but not much faith. I know my family worry about me and so far keto is really helping me stay on track.
Thank you.
I appreciate your openness
Keep it up, thank you both
Thank you SO much. You have really inspired me to stay on track and have already helped me get closer to my goals.
Thank you for sharing this with us. So glad you are doing so well 👏 💗
Well done Dr. Keith! 😀
Thanks Noelle!
You & Becky are such an inspiration to me. Thank you. You have definitely helped me A LOT. APPRECIATE all that you do.
I just finished watching all your journey. Inspiring. We are gonna try again. I never lose but you sound like me. I obviously was doing something wrong. Here goes!
Keith, Wow powerful stuff, your transparency is fantastic and inspirational. Congratulations.
I feel your struggle. Way to go. I turned 60 in August. Started keto in March. 30 down 25 to go. Ty for sharing
Way to go Dr. Keith! I'm down 60 pounds. Hope to be down 80 pounds at my one year anniversary in November!
Congratulations, Keith. You are very inspiring and I am encouraged to start the 0123 WOE.
Thank you for sharing! Very encouraging
Thank you, this is very inspiring. You and Dr Becky are so cute together. Love the interaction between you in these videos. Please continue, you are helping so many.
Congratulations to you for turning your health around! Thank you for your part in helping me do the same for mine. I appreciate you.
Enjoy your success dr.keith and Dr. Becky is always a great support for you and for us with all her informative health a knowledge
Thanks! She's the brains and the looks behind 2FitDocs.
Great story, congratulations and thank you for sharing. Keto on!
Thank you Dr. Keith! Congratulations!! You motivate me.
You should do a Video showing the pictures of the different stages of the weight loss. It is super motivating SEEING the progression a quick video. Might really get you guys some views.
Thanks! Good suggestion!

Great testimony of your love for your family & their love for you. I think you are very comfortable in front of the camera in your videos, though I can understand this one is a bit different. Thanks to you and Dr Becky
Thanks for sharing. Your videos are helping me get through my weight loss struggle.
You look great!... thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Very powerful.....
Thanks for sharing. Always motivating to hear success stories. Congratulations!!
Thanks Keith
Many years back I grew to a massive size 50 waist then in my 20s and for me keeping trim was 40 waist so being a 34" at 50+ proves age isn't a barrier and Keto keeps one fuller longer,,,no more low fat anything,,,I cut out sugar, processed food,,,19 weeks in this is sustainable and I feel youthfully again, maybe loose 1 more stone,,,,,but yours is an incredible journey,,,,,,,,,
I know you'll keep it up. :)
Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey and story with us! I am more encouraged and more excited about adopting, again, the Keto lifestyle. I should have been more diligent with it when I was first diagnosed with insulin resistance and hypothyroidism. Well done sir, well done!
Hi Dr. Keith, Thank you for this video! Very Inspirational.
Congrats.. going to do my best to follow you. 23 days in and blood sugar much improved and weight down 15# Keep up the good work
Thank you for sharing your powerful testimony. You have truly inspired me !
I am down 65 pounds on keto I can relate to you on many levels thank you very much for your video
You are an inspiration. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your motivation . It was very touching. I just watched your transformation videos which are so inspiring.
Hello Dr. Keith,
Thank you for for sharing your heart with the world.
Karen
You are an inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
Good for you Keith.
Thanks! :)
I think you guys are great. Thank you
Thank you for sharing - you are definitely an inspiration!
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Awesome, inspirational.
Thank you for your honesty
Sharing your journey!when you play with
Sticky note you can really hear it in video.
Great job keep up good work! thanks Jennifer
Thanks Jennifer! That's so funny! See what happens when Becky is not around to control my fidgeting.
