This is awesome... I have used the overlap with re recording for dynamics but the inserts, the harmonies, the key setting, are amazing. I do country so for me, the best part was how you set the background vocal to sound like a 4 singer backup setup. Great stuff to add to my ball of twine. Thank you my friend!

For anyone one new to the video an easier way to find the key of a beat or instrumental so you’re able to use the auto tune just use a site called audio key chain. U upload your instrumental and it tells you the key

Garageband is an Apple-Only program. It is not available for any computers or devices other than ones Apple makes. So it's only available for Mac, Macbook, iPhone, iPad.
This was so dope. I use GarageBand too and then. Fly the Vocals to Logic X if I need a more professional mix. My question is did you use any outside pluggins because this is really good. Granted your a beast vocally but the sound quality goes !!!
Nah, I actually only use whatever is in GarageBand 🤣 the bare minimum. I just do the dubbing with each vocal harmony (4 recordings for each note), 1 lead, and then I fiddle around with the EQ and effects until I like what I hear and mix/master to the best of my ability (I’m no pro at mixing). Equipment also helps, I have a pretty decent mic and an average preamp.
So many people sleep on GarageBand lol.... Its not the amount of money you use to buy programs... Its how you use the program that you have. Thanks for proving it in this tutorial!
Exactly!!! Funny thing is I had pro-tools before GarageBand. WAAAAAAY too complicated and I feel every song I made in protools sounded like complete garbage compared to what I made in GarageBand. After protools got outdated in my Mac I couldn’t afford the new update so I used GarageBand and never even looked back. Sure I will son need to step up at least to logic for more features but it’s such a good program.

I was listening to some of my live stuff recently and was like "why am I so off pitch when I just "knew" I was singing on pitch" Thanks again on that. One point of reference you refer to "4 recordings for each note". The word "note" should be part meaning alto soprano tenor bass. I did get the lesson and the meaning. Yup. Thats exactly how its done. As a Record Producer, I was also taught by an industry cat myself that was the background singer of this male R&B group called *Dark Blu* that was discovered and put togther by *Sean Levert* and *Gerald Levert* back in the early 2000s. They worked with *Sean Diddy Combs* and *Mario Winans* in the studio as all of them use to be Signed to *Capital Records.* The background singer I've been working with for over 11 years now, taught me how to stack vocals and acutally trainned me how to produce records from start to finish. He was like another *Teddy Reily* that taught me the ropes that helped me become a better Producer now that I see it all the way through the final mix. I like working with the Singers and Rapper in the studio to help them capture and deliver the best recorded performances, that's what makes you a real Producer opposed to programming beats and sending it out to people.
Exactly. There is a huge difference between producers and beat makers and anyone who doesn’t see the difference 99.999% of the time are just beat makers.
Such a fantastic truly lit take, brother you are truly talented 🔥 Main difference when you sing the same thing four times rather than just copying and pasting it is that their are slight time differences with the same phrase on each track which gives a widening, fuller sounding and slight chorused effect. Another way is to record the same thing and to duplicate it but push the duplicate a few milliseconds forward or back. Old school tricks are the best.
That duplication doesn't really work well. It just sort of makes it sound like the audio is glitching or echoing. But the variances in the multiple recordings on the exact same line is super clutch.
Actually works.. Just disable the real time protection in Setting. Wasnt sure that it would work .Awesome bruh..

Yup. Thats exactly how its done. As a Record Producer, I was also taught by an industry cat myself that was the background singer of this male R&B group called *Dark Blu* that was discovered and put togther by *Sean Levert* and *Gerald Levert* back in the early 2000s. They worked with *Sean Diddy Combs* and *Mario Winans* in the studio as all of them use to be Signed to *Capital Records.* The background singer I've been working with for over 11 years now, taught me how to stack vocals and acutally trainned me how to produce records from start to finish. He was like another *Teddy Reily* that taught me the ropes that helped me become a better Producer now that I see it all the way through the final mix. I like working with the Singers and Rapper in the studio to help them capture and deliver the best recorded performances, that's what makes you a real Producer opposed to programming beats and sending it out to people.
Exactly. There is a huge difference between producers and beat makers and anyone who doesn’t see the difference 99.999% of the time are just beat makers.

Main difference when you sing the same thing four times rather than just copying and pasting it is that their are slight time differences with the same phrase on each track which gives a widening, fuller sounding and slight chorused effect.
Another way is to record the same thing and to duplicate it but push the duplicate a few milliseconds forward or back. Old school tricks are the best.
That duplication doesn't really work well. It just sort of makes it sound like the audio is glitching or echoing. But the variances in the multiple recordings on the exact same line is super clutch.
