I went at a pretty bad time. Mid march, lots of snow, weird vibes and uptight cops. Maybe if I come back I'll like it more. I've heard so much good stuff about Utah
I am planning to move to Utah. My office will be around Milrock Drive Holladay. I was wondering how much does it snow there and from there to SLC downtown ? I am coming from Denver.
It will be similar to Denver to be honest. The cities are very similar in that regard. Downtown SLC and holladay will get roughly the same amount of snow for most storms.
If you can afford to live here that's great. Hopefully you really love the outdoors and/or are very active in your church. A really big cultural vacuum here otherwise. Love this very nuanced video. Great job! I was disappointed when it was over to be honest.
Dying how? You mean like they say it's dying every 7-8 years and then we have 2-3 years of surplus moisture? Maybe you've never been to Dead Horse Point and seen what traditionally happens to lakes in a desert. How do you think the Salt Lake exists other than through the help of snow season? With that being said it's a pretty nasty lake compared to a lot of other lakes in Utah.
Unfortunately the cons far outweigh the pros in my opinion. I’ve lived here my whole life and it’s going downhill fast! Every year it gets more crowded, less water, too much traffic, housing is way too expensive, the houses are right on top of each other, winter is too long and the air is awful! Summer is too hot and often the air is awful. I want to get out asap!
Try living some other place for less money with these benefits. I just moved here. I’ve lived all across the US. This place is about as good as it gets.
@@SuperFatcat8 it all depends on what you consider a “benefit” salt lake isn’t the worst nor the best and once spring rolls around after 8 months of winter it is a lovely place for a few months. 😆

Yeah that's a tough time of year. I'd recommend February if you want to feel the winters, or April/May for spring time
Great video! Very informative. New Yorker here looking to move when this lease ends 😊
Thanks for watching!!

How frequently does it snow in the winter ? @@LivingInSaltLakeCity
Is there a homeless issue in SLC??
Yes, we do have some homeless people, mostly focused in the downtown SLC area.

Thanks for commenting! I believe the area is becoming more diverse religiously, which is great to see. Thanks for your support.
Are there smaller towns to live in up in the mountains? Everything sounds great, but I want to live in a more rural area
Yes absolutely. Lots of them out there. Prices will vary widely though depending on the area.
Look into Logan. It's gorgeous and way more chill and affordable than Park City.
Zero mention of the fact that the lake is dying? Zero mention of the arsenic?
I've actually mentioned it on numerous other videos before.

@@LivingInSaltLakeCity If I could I’d move to Tampa but I’ll probably be stuck here for a while. 😂
@@butterfly7495 Tampa!? You want to talk about housing being way to expensive, wait till you look around Tampa.
EVERY State has access to the "outdoors", lol.
True! I should change how I explain it I guess!
the diversity is a pro not a con here
