As always enjoy all your videos. Just got out of hospital so relaxing and resting watching the reruns of your videos. Which always brighten my weekends and gives me lots of hours of enjoyment to see. Keep them coming and be safe. God bless. Ty for all videos.
What a thrill it must be to be able to take your train into mountainous territory that is absolutely spectacular!!!! That massive tunnel sure saves time, as the mountains are probably impassable any other way. Thank you for taking us through some country that most tourists would probably never see.
I’d suggest watching a documentary series called Swiss Railway Journeys. Although it’s somewhat old(made in 1990s) it’s very informative and it’s pleasing to watch. The documentary series of many of the lines in Switzerland are uploaded to UA-cam.
Thanks for an interesting video. You hard work is greatly appreciated here by someone who watches for the sheer enjoyment, especially when I am unable to return to Switzerland at this difficult time.
Greetings from Malaysia. Our country's national railway company (Malayan Railways or KTMB) also uses metre gauge tracks for its' rail networks too. But still both Swiss RhB and Malayan Railways trains have it's own uniqueness when it comes to cab view. Swiss RhB trains has the best mountain countryside view while Malayan Railways trains has the best Southeast Asian countryside view, with paddy fields, village settlements, mountains, oil palm and rubber plantations. If you have time after the pandemic ends feel free to visit Malaysia and feel the railway experience yourself. Schönen tag, mein freund!
Last time we came this way (with another driver) it was snowing, so it's very interesting to see how different places look in different weather conditions. Love the ride up the valley with the misty mountains in the distance.
Fantastic video as always! I have to admit - RhB is my favorite railway company. Looking forward getting my Swiss RhB railway pass in the future. Greetings from Canada.
Your videos are beautiful and awesome! What a views! Waiting for 4K HDR. HDR is really needed in mountains, especially in the morning and in the evening.
Thank you so much for this spectacular and impressive video, in which we could see going the train and track through more fantastic landscapes. My question is why the locomotive lights were not turned on in the tunnels? Just because, for example, in the long tunnel after the Klosters Platz station, we couldn't see anything about how the tunnel leads and where the train is going... Thank you! :)
I really enjoy watching your videos and hearing the sounds of the train and seeing the scenery makes me feel like I am actually on board in the cab and I really like I seeing different places of Switzerland keep making awesome videos and I think that you have an awesome job as a train engineer thank you very much for your videos
If you guy's like to check out various train sites, you'll find an excellent live train cam if you go to: Ft. Madison, Iowa USA Virtual Railfan LIVE. The scenic Ft. Madison is located on the Mississippi River and you'll also see barges etc. pass by from time to time. Enjoy!
Graubünda is amazing!! How can I live there permanently? If I could live in Switzerland, it would be there. The Rhaetische Bahn catenary has an 11kV AC voltage and the St. Moritz - Tirano 1kV DC. Are locomotives / EMU RhB dual-system? I am asking for the Chur-Arosa route and back again. Regards!
We will never touch the camera while driving. So adjustments will never be made during the trip. Also this was filmed on a GoPro, which is not really the best in low-light conditions.
Great
Are we seeing the final stretch before or after the recent closure for repairs? And has anyone yet come up with a good reason for Sagliains to be interchange-only? Thanks to you both for this \m/
The video has just been filmed, so very recent. There is nothing around Sagliains, so it will stay an interchange-only platform. The next proper town is Lavin.
Beautiful! loved that journey! Can I ask a question, why are there no fences on some parts of the railway line, where people can walk onto the line ? Every journey I have noticed.
Might not be the answer you wanted, but that's what it is. ;-) Some parts are fenced in, but that is mostly in areas with higher activity of animals, because you can't blame them if they don't understand the concept of rails.
Probably not. As you can see they're about to construct a double track from Landquart to Malans, but it's not their intent to overload nature with train tracks, most times space is also a problem.
Different sizes fulfil different purposes, each has their benefits and downsides. The steep gradients and tight curves of the RhB would not work on a standard gauge railway.
688 million English pounds, the Vereina tunnel cost, just out of interest/ That AWS system where it keeps on beeping about another five times after a caution signal, it sometimes goes on so long they bump into each other and it hasn't finished before it gets to the next signal. I'd have thought there must be a danger that drivers might just think "Oh, shut up" and not take as much notice of it as they perhaps should. (Obviously they wouldn't do that in Switzerland, but it is a danger with continual beeping in one's ear.)
Not really. I got the opportunity to work with Calandamountain (see the description) and therefore I'm now also able to offer RhB cab rides, that is all. ;-)
What people are DIS liking? I am sure they all are the kind hating life and beauty as whole. Pathetic supramists. The creator did his utmost when he created this scenery.

My thanks to Fabio and Railway Emotions for another great trip on the RhB. Makes my working time fly by!
wonderful place, like it. thank for sharing
@32:42 Wow - look at that bridge! There's no traffic on it, so I can't tell if it's still being constructed, but it's amazing. :)

How did we end up on a train with shite headlamps!!…haha! no, excellent trip I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.

As far as I know, the Allegra EMUs are dual-system equipped.
@Railway Emotions yes, but the other locomotive aren‘t
Switzerland 🇨🇭 is beautiful country number one in world!
Top.
And somewhere in the (near) future all the way down to Nauders /Austria to get connected to a different beautyfull mountain world? I really hope so.

Hello good video , super like
nice video
26:05 that looks like an old tunnel on the left that was bypassed by the new one, would it be?
Correct, the old tunnel was just too narrow for todays traffic.
Great video as usual. What kind of rail construction is being done around Malans? Additional sidings?
They're adding a double track up until after Malans.

Lovely
COOP boxcars makes a lot of sense
Is there intent to maximize, where ever possible, and over time, twin trackwork up this valley?
Probably not. As you can see they're about to construct a double track from Landquart to Malans, but it's not their intent to overload nature with train tracks, most times space is also a problem.
1:18:52 this tracks is not for swiss Austrian border village
Wann war denn diese schöne Fahrt?
Erst kürzlich, im Juni.
😎👍
Why is there a difference in rail gauge size, i.e: meter vs. standard gauge?
Different sizes fulfil different purposes, each has their benefits and downsides. The steep gradients and tight curves of the RhB would not work on a standard gauge railway.
Scuol Tarasp is a Swiss town which the people speak Romansh language, am i right?
Correct
Scuol ist keine Stadt sondern ein Dorf.
688 million English pounds, the Vereina tunnel cost, just out of interest/
That AWS system where it keeps on beeping about another five times after a caution signal, it sometimes goes on so long they bump into each other and it hasn't finished before it gets to the next signal. Marco- Brasil
Up until where is RhB doubling the track?
Up to after Malans, basically where you can clearly see the construction work right now. Will be in service by December 2020.
@@RailwayEmotions so a kind of suburban service between (Chur)-Landquart and Schiers?
No, not suburban ;-)
