The sound is so relaxing it puts me to sleep. I recommend everyone who has a hairpulling, hectic and demanding job to watch these kinds of videos to calm down their nerves. The sounds of riding on the rails will relax you and help you forget your troubles. It will work, believe me
I really enjoy seeing the beautiful countryside in the cab of a train like this especially here in Switzerland and you have the most beautiful scenery in Switzerland take care and thank you. ☕👋🇨🇭:)
WOW! Even on what we in Scotland would describe as a 'dreich' day, Switzerland manages to look magnificent. The quality of the infrastructure too is way beyond that in most countries. You build your railways (and your entire country) the way you make watches - with precision and attention to detail and finish. Even the stations which serve villages which consist of little more than 3 cottages and a cow shed are fully finished and cared for. Many thanks to you and RhB for this delightful video. I may not have the energy or finances to travel much these days but I can, at least, do so vicariously with your assistance. Thanks again. As we say in Scots - Lang may yer lum reek. Let's see if Google Translate can handle that! 😁 😁
Thanks for your comment - it made for an interesting read 🙂 It's always refreshing hearing an outsider's perspective, it helps us not take what we have for granted. It's a blessing for sure. Thanks for joining us!
D erinnert mich da eher an DDR.
Excellent! After 10 years plus, to see the investment in & magnificence of the new tunnel - along with the improvements in lesser tunnels - was a treat. Thank you & your driver for capturing and sharing the ride.
Many thanks, Paolo and Lori. I was intrigued to see that, while the tunnels were operational in 1903, the viaducts between them opened a year earlier, 1902. Presumably, unfinished tunnels were available for work crews and equipment to use when building the viaducts.
A beautiful journey, as always, through scenic Graubünden! As for the new Albulatunnel, well ... I think I like old one better. Must be my love of antiques! 😂😂🤣🤣
I think you have the best job in the world because this scenery is so beautiful and incredible!! I really want to travel through these beautiful landscapes!! Greetings from Brazil!!
I am always amazed how the clouds hang around the mountains in the Alpine region. And when you are there at that elevation or higher you can almost reach out and grab the clouds like a ball of cotton floating in the sky. I remember our drive from Ulm to Innsbruck. It’s so beautiful
Beautiful video. The Beverin is very high and nearly flooding. The best part of the video was leaving Surava and seeing the cloud encircled singular mountain peak.
Beautiful video! It's on my bucket list to visit your gorgeous country one day and take a long, long train ride. I'm in my 60s now and in a few years I'll be collecting full retirement - hopefully I'll still be in good health and can travel there. In the meantime, your lovely videos are both so exciting and soothing at the same time. Thank you for uploading these. ❤
Faszinierend. Bravissimo.
Thank you both for the timely upload - if the service stops on the main tracks through Samedan like that, I'm getting the sense that it had some wagons shunted off the back and then continued to GUZO and/or Pontresina. Thanks again \m/
Gruss Markus.

This route never gets old. The spectacular scenery seen in different seasons, the marvelous early last century railroad engineering and craftmanship, and a well-maintained system. Still, it's sad to see the great old tunnels being destroyed in the name of modernization.
@@nicolasn6872 I noticed that, and thought it was nice they did that. I was actually referring to the "upgrading" of the several old tunnels to the new standard.
@@nicolasn6872at first Unesco wanted the same one, small as before but you can't build a bigger tunnel for safety and leave two small portals at the entrances. So eventuelly Unesco accepted the idea from the rhaetian railway which looks fanstastic in my opinion. 👍
The new Albula Tunnel just looks _different_ . Maybe because it's wider and well-lighted, unlike the now-retired old tunnel? Speaking of tunnels, you need to do a new cab ride recording once both bores of the Gotthard Base Tunnel reopens (hopefully next month!).
Yes it's wider and higher then the old one. I already drove through the Gotthard basetunnel in both tubes last week. For testing freight trains are already using the refurbished west tube. It looks the same as before.
Beautiful photography of this beautiful land, thank you SO MUCH! Did this area suffer the horrific flooding that has damaged so much of the Lake Brienz area?

Yes it does
Vielen Dank, Captain Offensichtlich.🤣
@@lorirocks777lol you have no idea just how many of us watch your videos so we can sleep. I still favor St Moritz to Tirano though
I use train videos to read.... then sleep.
This was so relaxing to watch, that I fell asleep about halfway into it. I had to back up the video so I could watch the whole thing to the end. 😵

Absolutely loved this one , stunning scenery what a beautiful country, cant wait to see the snow, thankyou for taking me on your journey ❤️
