You can’t write movie 13 off for GT completely if Fusion Reborn Goku and Wrath of the Dragon Goku are equivalent. Wouldn’t fusion Reborn be canon to GT considering they didn’t have to reteach Vegeta the fusion dance. I don’t care if he said he watched the boys do it, even in super he needed to be taught so the only way I can explain GT Vegeta knowing it is that he did it in movie 12. There’s a few connecting ties that GT does to make a big chunk of the movies fit in and the only reason I could see them using the Dragon Fist so much in GT is because movie 13 was the last piece of anime Z got for a while. If the other movies are canon like garlic jr, Cooler, Bojack, and fusion reborn why can’t wrath of the dragon?
GT is connected to the Z anime, not the Z movies like fusion reborn. Fusion reborn in particular can't fit into the Z anime for obvious reasons, while GT clearly referenced what happened in the Z anime as if they were connected. Vegeta knowing the fusion technique in GT is not proof of fusion reborn being connected to GT.

You can generally bet that Saiyan saga Vegeta < Namek Frieza < Cell < Buu but Broly can be almost anywhere from being beat by Saiyan saga characters (from his secret boss fight in "Attack of the Saiyans") to fighting 2 Vegitos at the same time (Blue and SSJ4LB in heroes).

Even though there is enough evidence to prove most of the movies are canon to Gt and dragon fist only shows up in two instances logically they would mean Gt and the wrath of the dragon has connection or are canon to each other. In case broly next or not being done at all I’m go put in some criticism by me for something people been going on with regards to cell and whether he can beat him even assuming everything didn’t matter a lot say broly is stronger since he tank the kamehameha goku with no scratch while that same thing blew up cell there are problem one it isn’t the same goku blasted broly directly but in the cell fight he used instant transmission and also caught cell off guard unlike broly while broly didn’t put any defense it possible in his legendary form he’s always alert even if he doesn’t notice such as the beggining when he saved himself and his dad from planet vegeta destruction and remember cell in the goku was holding back a lot since he powered up twice in the gohan fight so there’s a lot of misconceptions just on that
Even though the characters was lowballed a bit since u actually gathered some information from the guides which other people dont do when it comes to db when they r very important in db scaling i would probably give it a 7.5/10
While I know that isn't related to feats or scaling, I do want to believe when the movie was written, the characters scale at least to their introductory forms. Like Super Saiyan Goku in Super 13 should at minimum be as powerful if not stronger than when he fought Frieza on Namek. It is just too hard of a pill to swallow that Super Saiyan Goku is not even able to destroy a planet because Android 13's signature move can only destroy half a planet. Similary it is hard for me to accept that Hildegard is just 'city' level or at most a planet destroyer. I know you are just doing your job, but even if the movies take place in an alternative timeline, there are things that are pretty hard to accept. I can accept that Broly is stronger than Janemba since stacking up ki... or generally transfering ki is very inconsistent in how much of a boost they can give. For example, Piccolo was honestly weaker than 2nd Form Frieza and got stopped by 3rd Form. Final Form Frieza even without using half his power can tank hits and shot beams that can take out Zenkai Boost Vegeta who is able to see even a blast Piccolo cannot keep up with. But after receiving just some leftover ki from Krillin and Gohan he was able to kick away Final Form Frieza who was 50%. Even if it was a 'caught of guard' moment, Frieza should be at a point Piccolo should not be able to faze him even while off guard. Mainly because Frieza has no real ki control and struggles to surpress that much power hence why he has those weaker forms that exist to supress his latent power. The next thing probably would be how much of a hard pill to swallow it is to believe that Super Saiyan Goku in Movie 8 could surpass or match Super Saiyan Gogeta from Movie 12. Wait , one of the Demon Gods is called Putin? lmao
Honestly I don't like using the whole Goku shaking the other world feat since it pretty much downplays his power in "fusion reborn". I would have the fact ssj3 Goku was able to overpower the first form of Janemba who just by existing was able to warp and manipulate the "other world" dimension and its universal laws.
You criticize people who claim the movies are canon to GT on the basis that several movie-only elements feature in GT, however I wonder what your reasoning for that is given that that's Occam's Razor at work. If a character, say Cooler, is introduced in a movie and later appears in the anime, I think it's only natural to assume the people who wrote the anime considered those events in the movie canon, no? Especially when you consider that it is, in effect, the same creators working on both. Whatever alternative explanation you may posit would necessarily invoke creating another version of the character, with no connection to the original movie version, and placing it in GT's universe with an accompanying backstory and explanation for it. In other words, it becomes necessary to assume a lot more stuff for the singular purpose of buttressing the view that it "must not" be the same character. Which begs the question: is it really the best explanation, or are we just trying to defend a pre-determined conclusion? tl;dr It's far simpler to take as the default position that it is, in fact, supposed to be the same continuity. As for the hail mary comparisons to DB evolution, etc, suffice to say that we are talking about a very specific and direct move/character being transported accross works that are very closely connected and, as such, not at all analogous to what you were comparing it to, whatever your purpose was with such a comparison.

Nice vid as per usual and a good way to end my mini catch-up binge. I dont know why I didn’t expect an intro referencing kaijus when I clearly should have. The bullet speed being pretty much the only “relevant” speed feat was pretty funny. I also didn’t know there was guide about Goku being the strongest Saiyan on Earth. I at least figured if it could have been referring to the either the anime’s Goku or just Goku in general (for this movie of course) prior to the timeskip. (Since it works out regardless of whether which Buu is thought of as the strongest since it’s sometime post-Kid Buu.) As for as whether or not some (now deleted) statements could indicate a connection that this Goku could be relative to the in Fusion Reborn doesn’t really matter much to me anyways but it’s fun idea, I guess. And thank you for saying, just because the Dragom Fist is in both continuities doesn’t connect the movie(s) to GT. Some people think that Vegeta knowing Fusion is a proof of that since “he learned it in Fusion Reborn” even though he said he knew about Fusion from seeing it the afterlife. Cooler is just an Easter egg or a mistake. I’ve even heard the “but Xeno Goku” argument even though he’s an entirely different Goku. It’s a side story to the manga and the direct continuation of the anime. GT =/= movies (Especially if you think the anime specifically went with a different interpretation of “only 5mins of SSJ3, back to normal, defuse” since Gotenks didn’t separate immediately afterwards like in the manga and Gogeta wasn’t warned about shortened fusion time in strong forms. Daizenshuu 2 seemingly considered SSJFP its own thing some sort of 100% mode marked by the aura Goku, Gohan and Future Trunks had going by its debut date. I think the former 2 sources might’ve stated something to imply that and all the rest just said either 50x about SSJ in general or nothing at all so if I had to choose I’d just go 50x for G4. Hot take here. But I genuinely believe Hirudegarn is the strongest movie villain that isn't in Super. Yeah people say Jenemba is stronger and Broly is too but Broly's best statements is from the guy who made him and nothing more so personally I chalk that up to bias. That and he was beaten by SSJ1 Gohan, SSJ1 Goku and SSJ1 Goten (Tiny bit of help from Trunks). Jenemba on the other hand was fighting against both SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta and while he was very clearly winning it wasn't like he was one shotting them the same way Hirudegarn did Gotenks who is above Vegeta. Hirudegarn also fought Mystic Gohan, SSJ Vegeta (Dunno why he didn't go further.) SSJ3 Gotenks and SSJ2-3 Goku all at the same time pretty much and was winning pretty much up until Dragon Fist hit him. This is just my thoughts personally though.

A: Initially, it was meant to be a fun fact inclusion for the video. However, after re-evaluating my own claim about the Movie 13 and GT connection debunk, I realized that IF Movie 13 was canon to GT, it would also make it canon to the Z anime, which opens a whole can of worms as to how Future Trunks somehow meets “Future Tapion” without affecting the “mainstream timeline” when Toriyama or Koyama clearly never intended Movie 13 to be directly accurated to the original story. Hence why I expanded this topic to further debunk any assumptions that Hirudegarn somehow scales to Z or GT anime.
Q3. Why are you scaling Hirudegarn to Fusion Reborn Goku when you said he can’t scale to other movie characters?
A: I already established the idea that Toei removed their own statement. Meaning its not valid anymore. I only argued that point for those who want a more high-end interpretation for Hirudegarn’s scaling, which COULD be supported based on the guidebooks claiming it requiring infinite ki to supposedly defeat this universal threat. Especially when comparing to Turles or Slug, both vaguely relative to Frieza’s Level, its rare for Toei to compare one villain to another character. Plus, Hirudegarn’s scaling is so basic, I thought it was worth including it cuz otherwise, he’s just city level…apparently.
Q4. Whats the deal with Hirudegarn’s speed stat? Was there little more to talk about it?
A: Sadly yes. Other than that dumb Gohan bullet feat and Hirudegarn’s teleportation, which is can still correlate to his reaction speed at least, it was hard to really focus on it at all. That’s partly why in my conclusion, I half-baked the summary and implied he might have beyond infinite speed, since Instant Transmission has some weirdly OP statements to bump up Movie Goku and possibly Hirudegarn.

You can’t write movie 13 off for GT completely if Fusion Reborn Goku and Wrath of the Dragon Goku are equivalent. Wouldn’t fusion Reborn be canon to GT considering they didn’t have to reteach Vegeta the fusion dance. I don’t care if he said he watched the boys do it, even in super he needed to be taught so the only way I can explain GT Vegeta knowing it is that he did it in movie 12. There’s a few connecting ties that GT does to make a big chunk of the movies fit in and the only reason I could see them using the Dragon Fist so much in GT is because movie 13 was the last piece of anime Z got for a while. If the other movies are canon like garlic jr, Cooler, Bojack, and fusion reborn why can’t wrath of the dragon?
GT is connected to the Z anime, not the Z movies like fusion reborn. Fusion reborn in particular can't fit into the Z anime for obvious reasons, while GT clearly referenced what happened in the Z anime as if they were connected. Vegeta knowing the fusion technique in GT is not proof of fusion reborn being connected to GT.

You can generally bet that Saiyan saga Vegeta < Namek Frieza < Cell < Buu but Broly can be almost anywhere from being beat by Saiyan saga characters (from his secret boss fight in "Attack of the Saiyans") to fighting 2 Vegitos at the same time (Blue and SSJ4LB in heroes).

In case broly next or not being done at all I’m go put in some criticism by me for something people been going on with regards to cell and whether he can beat him even assuming everything didn’t matter a lot say broly is stronger since he tank the kamehameha goku with no scratch while that same thing blew up cell there are problem one it isn’t the same goku blasted broly directly but in the cell fight he used instant transmission and also caught cell off guard unlike broly while broly didn’t put any defense it possible in his legendary form he’s always alert even if he doesn’t notice such as the beggining when he saved himself and his dad from planet vegeta destruction and remember cell in the goku was holding back a lot since he powered up twice in the gohan fight so there’s a lot of misconceptions just on that
Even though the characters was lowballed a bit since u actually gathered some information from the guides which other people dont do when it comes to db when they r very important in db scaling i would probably give it a 7.5/10
While I know that isn't related to feats or scaling, I do want to believe when the movie was written, the characters scale at least to their introductory forms. Like Super Saiyan Goku in Super 13 should at minimum be as powerful if not stronger than when he fought Frieza on Namek. It is just too hard of a pill to swallow that Super Saiyan Goku is not even able to destroy a planet because Android 13's signature move can only destroy half a planet.
Similary it is hard for me to accept that Hildegard is just 'city' level or at most a planet destroyer. I know you are just doing your job, but even if the movies take place in an alternative timeline, there are things that are pretty hard to accept. I can accept that Broly is stronger than Janemba since stacking up ki... or generally transfering ki is very inconsistent in how much of a boost they can give. For example, Piccolo was honestly weaker than 2nd Form Frieza and got stopped by 3rd Form. Final Form Frieza even without using half his power can tank hits and shot beams that can take out Zenkai Boost Vegeta who is able to see even a blast Piccolo cannot keep up with. But after receiving just some leftover ki from Krillin and Gohan he was able to kick away Final Form Frieza who was 50%. Even if it was a 'caught of guard' moment, Frieza should be at a point Piccolo should not be able to faze him even while off guard. Mainly because Frieza has no real ki control and struggles to surpress that much power hence why he has those weaker forms that exist to supress his latent power.
The next thing probably would be how much of a hard pill to swallow it is to believe that Super Saiyan Goku in Movie 8 could surpass or match Super Saiyan Gogeta from Movie 12.

Honestly I don't like using the whole Goku shaking the other world feat since it pretty much downplays his power in "fusion reborn". I would have the fact ssj3 Goku was able to overpower the first form of Janemba who just by existing was able to warp and manipulate the "other world" dimension and its universal laws.

You criticize people who claim the movies are canon to GT on the basis that several movie-only elements feature in GT, however I wonder what your reasoning for that is given that that's Occam's Razor at work.
If a character, say Cooler, is introduced in a movie and later appears in the anime, I think it's only natural to assume the people who wrote the anime considered those events in the movie canon, no? Especially when you consider that it is, in effect, the same creators working on both. Whatever alternative explanation you may posit would necessarily invoke creating another version of the character, with no connection to the original movie version, and placing it in GT's universe with an accompanying backstory and explanation for it. In other words, it becomes necessary to assume a lot more stuff for the singular purpose of buttressing the view that it "must not" be the same character. Which begs the question: is it really the best explanation, or are we just trying to defend a pre-determined conclusion?
tl;dr It's far simpler to take as the default position that it is, in fact, supposed to be the same continuity.
As for the hail mary comparisons to DB evolution, etc, suffice to say that we are talking about a very specific and direct move/character being transported accross works that are very closely connected and, as such, not at all analogous to what you were comparing it to, whatever your purpose was with such a comparison.

Nice vid as per usual and a good way to end my mini catch-up binge. I dont know why I didn’t expect an intro referencing kaijus when I clearly should have.
The bullet speed being pretty much the only “relevant” speed feat was pretty funny. I also didn’t know there was guide about Goku being the strongest Saiyan on Earth. I at least figured if it could have been referring to the either the anime’s Goku or just Goku in general (for this movie of course) prior to the timeskip. (Since it works out regardless of whether which Buu is thought of as the strongest since it’s sometime post-Kid Buu.)
As for as whether or not some (now deleted) statements could indicate a connection that this Goku could be relative to the in Fusion Reborn doesn’t really matter much to me anyways but it’s fun idea, I guess.
And thank you for saying, just because the Dragom Fist is in both continuities doesn’t connect the movie(s) to GT. Some people think that Vegeta knowing Fusion is a proof of that since “he learned it in Fusion Reborn” even though he said he knew about Fusion from seeing it the afterlife. Cooler is just an Easter egg or a mistake. I’ve even heard the “but Xeno Goku” argument even though he’s an entirely different Goku. It’s a side story to the manga and the direct continuation of the anime. GT =/= movies
(Especially if you think the anime specifically went with a different interpretation of “only 5mins of SSJ3, back to normal, defuse” since Gotenks didn’t separate immediately afterwards like in the manga and Gogeta wasn’t warned about shortened fusion time in strong forms. Either that or it’s just a plot hole/contrivance.)
Thankfully this comment’s (relatively) short than the others since that’s all I have to comment on due to the beast’s shocking lack of feats. But at least they got good enough statements.
The rest is just my thoughts on the only contentious topic in the video regarding DB scaling in general, being the SSJ multipliers.
On second thought this topic would be more relevant to Broly than Hirudegarn and this video isn’t even about the Saiyan funnily enough.
I guess there’s always the “how strong is SSJ” argument. Although I can go either way on that. One guide (I think it was a Dorothée magazine) puts it in between Grades 1 and 2 and says it’s a prequiste to SSJ2 like DBLegends and the other (I think that one was DBGT La Revista Oficial) pretty much says it’s Grade 3 but a boost to all stats. “Super Saiyan Beyond Super Saiyan” from Dragon Book could refer to either. Daizenshuu 2 seemingly considered SSJFP its own thing some sort of 100% mode marked by the aura Goku, Gohan and Future Trunks had going by its debut date.
I think the former 2 sources might’ve stated something to imply that and all the rest just said either 50x about SSJ in general or nothing at all so if I had to choose I’d just go 50x for G4.
Funnily DBS seemingly validates the “10x Grade 2” statement by portraying as stronger than SSJ2 with Future Trunks. Whether it’s a 10x boost in ki specifically (like the other SSJ forms) or just overall like Oozaru or Great Namekian forms having their bodies provide part of the increase in strength) is another either or but that combined with the G3 = G4 SSJ idea does provide a reasonable highball.
Oh yeah, and as for the Instantaneous movement or intangibility or ectoplasm or mist part. Instantaneously move intangible ectoplasmic mist. Boom, biggest problem solved!

Hot take here. But I genuinely believe Hirudegarn is the strongest movie villain that isn't in Super. Yeah people say Jenemba is stronger and Broly is too but Broly's best statements is from the guy who made him and nothing more so personally I chalk that up to bias. That and he was beaten by SSJ1 Gohan, SSJ1 Goku and SSJ1 Goten (Tiny bit of help from Trunks). Jenemba on the other hand was fighting against both SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta and while he was very clearly winning it wasn't like he was one shotting them the same way Hirudegarn did Gotenks who is above Vegeta. Hirudegarn also fought Mystic Gohan, SSJ Vegeta (Dunno why he didn't go further.) SSJ3 Gotenks and SSJ2-3 Goku all at the same time pretty much and was winning pretty much up until Dragon Fist hit him. This is just my thoughts personally though.
It's his hacks that kept him going for as long as he did. In the same movie 1 nailed Videl into a building and she was just knocked out. Hirudegarn doesn't seem like the type to hold back when attacking someone.
