We finish up the Foothills in 6 nights. Started Saturday April 30 at 3PM and ended Froday May 6 at 2:30PM
Then we headed to Linville gorge for some comfort, crazy adventure and then some laughs.

There is nothing more beautiful than a true series of tear inducing belly laughs....Maple King outtakes are hilarious!
Well, I almost bust a rib watching this, best laugh ever had tears running down my face when you showed the out-takes😂. What I like also is that you take the time to enjoy yourselves and the stunning scenery. Don't stop making these trips and doing what you do. Thanks for sharing.

I am 55 but have never backpacked camping. But mother of God Shug, you've got me motivated with all these videos. I was walking in the woods today, alone I might add, and found myself screaming out loud, "All Clear in Sector 7." I live in Iowa after growing up in NJ. Suggest a good trail in MN, and I'm going to do it here soon. Keep the videos coming. You and Kent remind me of my best friend in Jersey if we were to do this.

A great finale to a great trilogy shug. The maple King thing started...well, a little weird, but then got funny, then got weirda, then the out takes had me in stitches. Great stuff shug. Just because we get older, doesn't mean we have to lose our humour, or the boy within us all. Thanks shug for a great set of vids, highly enjoyable and entertaining. Best wishes to you both. I was researching this hike in hopes to do it as my first long backpacking trip. I watched several videos of people thru hiking it and I’ve got to say yours is the BEST!! Absolutely loved it! I laughed the whole way through. I found your channel several years ago while searching for “informative” videos on backpacks, gear, etc but never really watched an entire hike. I’ve got some catching up to do!! 😂

While your boil was indeed purty, you two were not towards the end of the FT hike. It has been 35 years since I hiked Table Rock, I need to get back there. Thanks for the vids ... What would be a video I would like to see is a "logistics" video that shows trip planning, transportation, food drop etc.

+Sebastopolmark Not much logistacilly....be a boring video. We pick a trail....meet up.....easy to stash food as it was 300 yards from parking spot.

Off for a little camping fun for a few days in Herefordshire myself...I shall be in the hammock, the other half and the toddler will be intense in tents....(shakes head). As an NC native, let me tell you that you nailed the perfect NC after trail meal. That place looks great, but you also can't go wrong at any other hole in the wall bbq joints you find around the state. Looking forward to doing this trail later this year.
I so love going back to NC just to eat my favorite foods.

Shugs I watched all episodes in succession, I feared the Maple King was in hibernation for the first couple of episodes, I'm so pleased he made an appearance, he truly is a fascinating spirit. You to should make a feature film together with a plot and an ending, I bet there are tons of subscribers that could add CG and snazzy after effects. Imagine Hickory morphing into a Maple
