Please don't listen to reviews saying this game runs in 30fps only in handheld mode, that appears to be an earlier version of the game... today is launch day, I have the game and assure you it is closer to 60fps in handheld
FYI, review does not specify that the game runs at 30fps in handheld mode. So be aware if you heard 60fps and you prefer to play in portable mode... the game then does NOT run at 60fps! For me, I'm glad I found out about the halved frame-rate... saved me $... although now I'm just disappointed I won't be able to play it on my Switch on the go.
No... I have the game, and it does play in a higher than 30fps mode in handheld... these people seem to have had a pre-launch version... but I assure you it is closer to 60fps than 30fps in handheld.
@@MedalionDS9 That's bs, I've spoken to AND seen other gameplay videos of the game clearly running at 30fps in handheld mode! Set your yt player to 1080p 60fps and you can easily tell handheld mode is half the frame-rate of docked mode. This is true in every review video AND gameplay video I've seen thus far. How a pre release version of the game runs at half the frame-rate of a post release version is beyond anything I've ever seen... because it's never happened (at least not without a large post release patch applied many weeks after launch).
@@MedalionDS9 I don't care if you own it. I don't think JUST YOU are right and all the reviewers and people who've posted gameplay videos are wrong?! I don't think so! I know what 60fps looks like and I can clearly see the difference in all the videos I've watched. And to your argument about the reviewers having a prerelease version that doesn't have 60fps in handheld mode... that's bs too. The only time that happens... when devs patch in something as big as a frame-rate change... they do so usually weeks after the game releases. I'm sorry if you are one of those people who cannot tell the diff btwn 30fps and 60fps. I suggest you go play something like Mario Kart to remind yourself of what 60fps actually looks like.
I have a question and I hope someone can answer? I’m interested in the Nintendo Switch version but my question is can you use a GameCube controller and with a GameCube controller does it function like the original game? Can anyone answer this I’d appreciate it! :)
@@torybeaudet3820yep, a 22 yr old game w/ some overall minor upgrades and we can't get better than 30fps in handheld mode?! You're right, absolutely inexcusable!! There goes another Switch title I was really looking forward to playing.

Personally I really wish they’d added some more better quality of life changes to the game like easier difficulty or a map for each level

Lmao who tf needs 60fps for a 20 yo game jfc
What does the age of the game has to do with the framerate?Framerate was also an issue 20 years ago and games should always be 60fps.
