I had this yesterday without seeing this video. I had the garden salad with salmon and onsen egg. Got to say it was really delicious. However most people esp older generation wouldn’t know how to customise the order and would walk away. I think it will be easier for them to order if they show more recommended customised dishes.

That's a great idea. They can have a preset menu for those who do not know how to customize. Like set A, set b.

Went there recently as well. They have since revamped their menu (can check their ig page) and it comes with a few pre-set meals to choose from of which for a meat eater like myself, their triple threat (three protein combi) is damn good.

People who say its expensive must understand. if you expect food to remain as $3 $4 then who is going to take over being hawker.. hawker food is supposed to be affordable and not cheap at the expense of the guy cooking it for you.. They also have a family to feed.

Not everyone are like him. He came out working when he was very young. So he knows what hardship is like. Only hardship will shape someone up nicely. He is passionate.
I have tried his food - not cheap for hawker fare BUT it's damn good as he use fresh and good ingredients. It's still cheaper than walk into a Japanese restaurant which does not serve what he is serving. I hope he keep innovating ideas and you never know what this will turn into.
I am sure most people have heard of Paradise Group of Restaurants. They are 2 brothers who started off in a factory selling zhi char. See where they are now? So live your dream and it may just come true one day. You know why? Everyone still needs to eat every single day. I am still hoping there will be more local youths out there that will be able to continue the legacy of our hawker food as that's how every Singaporean grew up with.
As for today's strawberry and ice kacang generations all cannot make it if they want to work hawker centres as hardship is not in their mindset!
