In the first 20 seconds, I see a man with a blow torch an inch away from his fingers, and not even flinching. I would be honored to eat a meal this man made.
yeah he works real hard but only because he got a goal he wants to achive. office work may not be the most physical hard work, but its really mentaly draining so you are doing hard work aswell. its your decision if you want to have the safty of a office job where you are unhappy but have stabel income or take the risk and work even harder for the first years without any pay and maybe work in your dream envirement. eitherway is fine so dont talk down on the work you are doing, eventhough it might seem that your work is nothing compared to others.
Well there's the argument that office work and especially anything creative is more draining mentally than physical labour. The guy is constantly on the move so he's likely getting that "feel good"-dopamine some people get from working out. It's involved, definitely not monotonous and it's clearly rewarding for him. So all in all I wouldn't go declaring that his work makes your work seem like nothing. Don't sell your efforts short.
The way he set up all his mini RESTRIUANT was amazing.... That's why Japanese people are very famous all around the world for there creativity and hardwork ✌👍

Opening up a restaurant is one thing .....to maintained its quality , while keeps on making profits is another thing......and usually it's harder than you can Imagine ....many have failed within 5 years .....
This is in fukuoka, these dinner stalls are traditional there, usually you have to get there early because there are few seats and you can't eat standing up so you have to wait in line. The heat from the flame and how he handles everything from start to end, I am not sure if the cost of the food justifies it all. So much respect for this guy.
This is pretty common for a fast paced chef, very heat resistant fingers. Flames don't hurt, its the temperature that burns you. The more orange the flame the less hot it is.

Quite a messy one, I mean the whole thing is dirty inside and out like some cheap indian street food maker. And he woke up quite late putting all that together. Normally you would get up at 4-5 am so you won't have to sweat like a pig in a hurry like this guy.
Must be hand-me-downs from his family, to preserve authenticity. I bet you there might have been some days that he would have gotten something more modern to ease his everyday preparations but that would go against discipline.

Nice, im from Brazil too.also American. I live in Los Angeles. My son lives in Kanazawa .. next trip to japan I might try to get a street food , looks like awesome!
I’ve eaten here, the place is called mamichan. The gyoza, yaki ramen, and yakibuta are all fantastic and the proprietor is a genuine character. Not to mention the good hakata ben practice. The beauty of eating at yatai is simply that it’s a socializing free for all. You’ll meet people from all over at then while eating delicious homemade food
Do they speak English? I’ll visit Japan in the near future and hope to go here, I plan on learning a little Japanese before visiting but will need English to carry me through. By the way, where is this food cart’s location?
He speaks no English but there are somewhat translated menus. If he recommends something go with it- it’s likely to taste good. The things I mentioned are all (in my opinion) slammers.

The invisible part is that he has to clean up, shop for ingredients & do the food prep each day after he closes up shop. The variety of dishes he offers is also amazing & makes it even more work. Most street stands sell only a few or even one item.

People like him work so hard and yet I have personally heard many times casual customers complain about how the food should be cheaper because it is not a restaurant and there is only 1 person operating it.
If they only appreciated how long they work and how little they actually earn because of the relatively few customers they can physically serve they would be embarrassed.

Yeah..me too
Ironically, these jobs are categorized under unskilled labor by most countries and governments.
yeah he works real hard but only because he got a goal he wants to achive. office work may not be the most physical hard work, but its really mentaly draining so you are doing hard work aswell. its your decision if you want to have the safty of a office job where you are unhappy but have stabel income or take the risk and work even harder for the first years without any pay and maybe work in your dream envirement. eitherway is fine so dont talk down on the work you are doing, eventhough it might seem that your work is nothing compared to others.
