Been watching your channel for the past 7 months. You inspired me to get my own Gen 4 Pajero (used to have a Gen 3 in the family). Got a 2016 NX last month (decided to get something a bit newer that'll last me a decade). Last model year without the DPF and includes the updated headunit with carplay etc stock 🙌 Mods are starting already!
I got the same one! Didn’t realise till after I brought it tho, they are a fair bit cheaper in nz for some reason. Kids hate the third row and lack of drink holders are the only complaints
Been enjoying watching some of your other vids - keep them coming! A few suggestions. Give you slider pins a clean and light sand (if required) and coat with silicone grease or rubber grease (normal grease will deteriorate the boots) been reinstalling. Also clamp your brake line and crack open your bleeder screw when pushing back the pistons. This will purge out old potentially burnt fluid in the calliper. Also there is a small risk of damaging your ABS system by pushing fluid back up into your master cylinder. Other than that good job! I did my first brake pad change and brake fluid flush on my LWB a few months back.
@@fyst4413 I think copper grease is more to stop seizing rather than lubrication. Plus you need a rubber safe lubricant which won't deteriorate the rubber boots. My go to is silicone grease otherwise rubber specific grease!
I have a 2001 NM Pajero in need of brake pads. I am a pensioner and live in the bush and driving on a dirt road constantly stuffs the suspension and brakes and dont have a lot of money to fix everything so sometimes you need a helping hand from good people giving away items to help 😊
Been watching since you first started posting videos into the Facebook Pajero groups and was excited to see someone working on pajeros. Especially because I have a gen4 like you but not a shorty. Would love the brake pads because believe it or not my rotors have just started to warp and the pads haven’t been changed in a while so I may aswell change the pads while I’m down there! Ps I’m a bbq supreme kinda guy. Thanks for the content mate.
Hey Dewald, it’s me lil_pajero. Loving the content so much and the in depth tutorials. Would love the brake pads as it’ll help with keeping the cost down for the upcoming trip around Aus and the lil girl is squealing like crazy and has almost lost its braking power. Missus is going nuts but don’t have the money right now to replace. Cheers Mate and keep up the good work !!
I'd love a set of bendix pads for my pajero as I love my car and it needs new pads but sadly lost my apprenticeship due to a work injury so funds are tight and every bit helps. Loving the channel, great to see more pajero content
G'day Budget 4x4, I noticed my brakes making an unusual noise the other day and it prompted me to research how hard it would be to change the brake pads. Your video was the first result. You make it look easy, even for a novice like me. I have an NT Pajero, what model is yours? I have changed pads in another car once before but I needed G clamps to force the piston back on that car. I am not sure if the pads need changing on the Pajero as I haven't inspected them yet, but if you still haven't given the Bendix pads away, I would like to be considered, please.
Hi Shane 👋🏻 Yes it is really simple. If you have a bit of muscle...pushing the pistons back is no worries. Get yourself some Bendix pads they are a good upgrade🙂💯
@@budget4x4life I checked out the noise and the brake pads did need replacing. I followed your advice and bought some bendix 4wd pads. I have only replaced the front ones so far. It was easier than I expected. I will replace the rear pads in the coming months. Do you know the minimum thickness for the discs? I am wondering if I should replace those as well.
@ShaneM-cu1gr great stuff. I am doing the rear soon and will video it. Rotors are done when they start having grooves in them...like a darker shade grey and not smooth anymore. 🙂
Hi. I have a problem of speed indicator on my mitsubishi that is intermittently working. I noticed that compass indicator does not work while no speed indication. Please advise.
Hey there! That is a tough one. Only thing I know about indicators is that when they blink too fast you can put a load resistor in but your scenario sounds different unfortunately 😕
Why do my brembo pads make one single knock when breaking slow. I have put a new fitting kit on aswell. Ive now been told bembo pads are smaller hooks than the original
Sometomes its worth putting a small film of grease between the piston and brake pad to stop squealing . Just a thought. Cheers. Keep up with the vidoes, great to watch and helps me get up of my backside and work on the paj. Cheers.
Hey John congratulations mate you have won yourself a new Bendix brake pad set💯😊 Please let me know if you would like to accept the prize. Message me via Facebook your details so it can be sent🔥 Thanks mate🏅
Hey mate! Love the vids. I own a little 97 Suzuki Vitara. Up the little 4bies!!! It could definitely use some new stoppers though haha. Fingers crossed.
Hi mate I would love the set of brake pads. I was just thinking yesterday of doing my front ones that are starting to squeak this video is absolutely perfect timing. I also have the short wheel base Pajero 2007, all your videos have been a great help for me. Hopefully I can win this and use your video for help. cheers & Beers
Liked and Subbed (a while ago to be fair) 😬 Got a SWB pajero 2014 NX! And my brake pads are nearing end of their life! Some bendix brake pads would be epic 🤙 regardless, I'll be using this video to replace mine soon. Cheers, Alwyn
It’s a marine rubber protectant bottle spray from supacheap auto or Burnsco. Spray it on boots and bushings. Stops them getting dry and cracking. Been using it for years. About $30 here in NZ. Keep the vids coming mate🔥🤙🏼🤙🏼
I have a used pajero 2012 , the first owner treat it like sh🤬t , now I'm trying to replace all consuming part & remove the rust , so far it's done good 👺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
