Hi Ryan Thanks for the great videos! can you please tell me how you installed the battery and charger in the seat area. did you have to drill through the plastic floor? Thanks Melanie
Thanks for taking the time to watch Melanie! Yes I just drilled through the plastic floor with some self tapping tech screws. Note it didn't go all the way through the well and out the bottom of the car, just the plastic. Eventually when I upgrade the battery I will remove the plastic trim from in there and probably put a small plywood cutout in there. Cheers Ryan
Great build,I love the front bumper, the color is the best one for a Pajero. I would like to ask,i have changed my tyre size, from 265 60 18 to 285 60 18 .Am i going to have the told problems with torque converter,AT transmision problems and etc. Did you get any problems with those tyres you installed. Thank you very much
Hey mate, thanks for the kind words. Its an awesome colour! my tires are 285/70/17 and I have had no issues with that whatsoever, I have gone a step further and run an electronic throttle controller and to date there have been no such issues with transmission or torque converter. Cheers Ryan
Hey Ryan I just bought a 2020 Pajero, Sydney, and want to put a set of rubber all around like yours. What wheels are they and any more detail on the caster set up? Also are the tyres noisy on the tar? Cheers
Hey mate. They are Goodyear wrangler MT 285/70/17. From what I know when they were put on the front casters were moved all the way forward to fit them on. They were not noisy when I put them on but they do get a bit loud as the tread wears down
Hi Ryan, top video. Ive got a 2014 same colour. Regarding 33s did u have to do anything to gearing or torque converter to account for bigger lever of 33s? Bet they look awesome.
Hi mate thanks for watching. I’m due to make another one of these as I’ve changed a bit on the inside of the car. I’ve changed nothing after putting them on mate just the casters had to be moved forward when the tires went on. I have a throttle controller and that’s all. Thanks Ryan
Hi mate, I've just purchased an NW paj and plan on doing a similar rear setup to yours? Have you needed to replace your battery this far? If so how much work would it take to replace the battery with the XTM draws in place?
hey mate. I haven't needed to replace the battery as of yet, it's a 100AH enerdrive lithium so hoping to get a good few years out of it. it is a bit of a process to get to the footwell with the secondary battery in it with all the stuff on top, basically need to unbolt everything from the plywood base that its on and then remove the plywood to get to the battery. takes about 25 mins if im doing it at home
haha thanks ray mate. you wait till you see the upcoming series, in the second episode you'll be a very proud ranger owner after seeing what happened. Cheers Ryan
Good helpful video mate. May I suggest you put cards to link to your other vids that you mention. Im looking forward to seeing what you have done to your pajero.
Thanks Shayne mate, I've often tuned into some of your videos, actually one of them inspired me to buy the iPhone 13. I do admit I dont spend much time putting in cards and other things after uploading the video to UA-cam. Ill be more proactive in the future regarding these things for sure!
Thanks mate, its gunmetal grey but not sure of the mitsibushi name for it. I think its called Amor Charcoal Grey but take that with a grain of salt as id need to clarify.
The rails are not the factory ones. They are rated to 300kg although the vehicles roof I believe is 100kg so yes it’s very close. I’m at 89kg with everything on top
@@nextleveladventuresau I am interested in doing a similar setup to yours and am just trying to understand the weight legalities. Thanks for watching dane! I didn't really consider it no, where I live there is no TJM outlet (or at least I think) and I like the look of the ARB (safari) much better than the TJM one. As far as functionality goes I don't think there's much difference. Cheers Ryan
Hey mate, I never got to weigh it with this configuration. New episode coming soon with the new setup in the back. Back seats removed I will have a final weight then. Cheers Ryan
Thanks mate. I’m due to install something once I work out where the best place to have it is. Due to the spot it’s in it’s hard to find a suitable place for ventilation.
Hey man, this is pretty much the perfect overland setup, I hope you enjoy it 👍. Another question about the RTT, you mentioned you are tall, Im 1.97cm tall, you think it would be ok length wise? I have no option to try it locally. Thanks
Hey Ryan got a couple of questions about the drifta 1.2RTT - how is it for 2 people? How does it go when daily driving and offroad in terms of roll, fuel, braking? FYI - My NW runs a pioneer platform on the rails (with a rear awning) and can only go the drifta 1.2 for weight (and still pushing it). If the 1.2 is not really suitable for 2, then I might need to consider something else.
Hey mate. Overall I rate the tent pretty highly. I notice little to no impact on fuel braking and roll effect. For two people it would do ok. You would probably use most of its room up but it isn’t impossible, it might be worth heading to a Stockton dealer and trying one out. As I’m by myself i can’t give you a 100% accurate answer regarding the two people, only a guess and my guess is yes but it would be tight. Cheers Ryan
Hey mate, it would be tough I think. the exact dimensions of mine are 32.7, they are catalogued as a 33. I can tell you mine wouldn't be able to fit without a lift, 32 would be a close fit if it even fit at all. very hard to say although im leaning towards probably not and also depends if you have a bulbar or not. although because I haven't done it myself I cant give you a definite answer.

Hey mate that’s correct they support up to 65L in the space but I just put two blocks of timber in to level it up and the big fridge sits on top. In total my 80L was 1cm too wide to fit inside, so I’m my scenario levelling it up with timber worked perfectly.
