Great video mate👍. And to see at the bottom of sight glass for contamination is a quick way to diagnose and drain the nastys away before it destroys expensive common rail components.Filters are cheap insurance.👍👍👍
I think this is a must for diesel engines in RSA. Our diesel is cr@ppy outside of busy towns and you never know if the diesel has been diluted at some of the stations.
I did exactly the same a few years ago, a tip is to replace the bolts attaching to the firewall as they snap very easily. I discovered the hard way how hard it is to remove a snapped bolt
Nice job. The location you put that is where the duel battery would be installed so I would need to put mine in a different location if it is possible.
I just installed it! One big problem is that left drive built a bit different so it’s a challenge because there isn’t much space . When do i need to check it/ replace??
@@Ilriderofficial yes left hand drive will be different. You can mount it wherever on the car. Replace it every 30k. If you have bad fuel in the area change it more often.
Hey mate! If you get a moment, could you do me a favour and measure the width of the unit with the hoses and everything on? I've got a 15cm X 20cm void where I think I can put one of these, reckon that'd be enough space to install and route the lines? (It would be over against the passenger fender due to one of the long dual Battery boxes)
Hey Dan! No worries. So from the Filter to end side of secondary filter is 22cm. From where bracket(flatbar) begins to end of filter 18cm. From firewall to other side of filter 13cm. Overall id say you need 15 x 15cm to fit. So I reckon you'll be good😊💯
@@budget4x4life just ordered one for my recently bought 2014 NW VRX with only 70,000kms. Got it from Toowoomba. Looking at your Direct Suspension video. Need a kit for towing my van. Do they have sales? Thanks again for your budget 4x4 channel mate.

When you need to drain, it will be drained very close to the motor area and other parts… wouldn’t it be better to put it in the frame ? Directly from the tank
What do you mean? This is not a performance upgrade also doesn't have fuel restriction if you're talking about that? So yeah it's good mate. There to catch the water incase you have some in your fuel💯😊
@@AramsUA-cam Yes I would say it's a good thing. It is a 2 micron filter so will filter the fuel very well and still catch any water that goes into your fuel 🙂
Not necessarily. Plenty studies prove this is better. Here's why: your main filter has a water sensor. So if it detects water you can stop immediately and the post/pre filter will catch the water. Had it the other way around once it went past that filter and you don't switch off in time you could damage injectors etc. Hope that makes sense 💯🙂
@@budget4x4life Regardless where the filter is the factory filter will still respond before water gets to the Injectors etc. The idea is to filter the fuel to make it cleaner before it goes through the factory filter. No diesel workshop would ever place the aftermarket filter after the factory set up.

Yeah definitely...kinda either or situation in that spot...so maybe fit it on the other side or whetever you got space really🤣
so good!!! love the giveaways too! 🔥

good video mate , was thinking about putting one in my RA rodeo .
Thanks matey! Yeah definitely recommend it for that reliability 💯🔥
Well done, another great video, keep em comming

Thanks for the step by step tutorial !@. Just got one for my pajero!, cant wait to install it 😊👍
