Once you get the Carpenter you can craft out of special storage! Beware it is no walk in the park to get him
I agree it took me two whole days and unlocking double jump just to get the carpenter.
A bit of a cheese, but I mined through the mountain, got straight into the room with 2 banshees. Killed them from a height with a staff and moved on to the next room.
And you can build trap doors and trap floor doors!!
Maybe because I played with a friend , but I found it very easy actually
@@g2cgaming418 most difficulty is from solo. It's definitely more suited to at least a duo so you can revive each other. Also makes a massive difference in resource collection speed. The building, especially, is REALLY resource hungry, to the extent that I just made a big enough box and left it there for now.
Tips. 1.) Use snapping feature it allows you to turn on and off that means things like fences can snap if you turn it on. 2.) You can trim things so even if something clips through switch over to 1m and right click to remove the parts that are clipping through. 3.) Learning to make use of the building system can make all kinds of things and it's down to a matter of skill and exploring your options if something isn't working then 90% chances are it's your lack of skill the exception is if you want to build with certain shapes like curved walls or wedges
If you watch your rested timer, you'll see that it's dropping in some areas of your house. If you place a few fireplaces around you'll get to max rested time and stay there anywhere in your house. The benefit from the fireplaces appears to be about 8 meters in radius so it'll cover two of the foundation blocks side-to-side, but may fade out on the diagonals.
The range on this stuff is pathetic in a Valheim kind of way - should count anything in your flame radius. Wouldn't surprise me if this upgrades eventually though. Leveling in this game is slow for me but I'm also playing casually.
So 8 meters or approx 24 feet for my Mericans. Hopefully some of us have learned a meter is really close to a yard (3 ft) at this point.
The carpenter will craft magic chests that you can craft from. 💪
4:39 There is even easier way to do it - use the terrain option of your construction hammer (at the bottom when you press "Alt"), choose flat, square shape, put the shape to the ground you want to remove and press right mouse button. It will remove terrain like you remove blocks. You don't have to put blocks and then remove them. Also switch off snapping
Got two tips for you, unless somebody's already mentioned it, One, turn off snapping just click "X" when you're building this way you can adjust your elements as you wish. And the second one if you want to get into first person mode per se put something behind you when you're building it will force the camera into a kind of first person view.
If you put the building blocks on your hot bar and select them you can pick up and lay down individual squares (small squares) with right and left click without the hammer. This allows you to change out small spots that don't match, or add custom tiles for emphasis. For example, at 21:48 you have a line of stone in your roof. If you wanted to, you could change top row of stone to roof tiles. This can also be used for things like filling small holes or adding some depth to the building. Not all tile types look good as trim though. A warning though, when you change piece of a larger block it may no longer be removable with the hammer and may need to be picked up small block by small block if you want to remove it.
It all snaps you have to turn it on. Says how on the little menu on the right side as you are placing.
You need wall lights on your staircase, you wouldnt want to trip or fall on them in the dark
"clip through ceiling" - while the blueprint shows a clip, the voxels actually conform - shorten or lengthen themselves - to fit the existing stricture. Lots of pieces show a clip through but conform to roofing when actually placed.
I spent a few hours digging out a hole for a base with a pickaxe. Wished I new this trick then. But now I have some more building to do. Thanks
Use wands for aggressive animals/npcs and a bow for passive animals because the wand attack only travels a set distance even if you are moving closer to the target as they run away. When building with the construction hammer and one of your building pieces is too tall or wide you can place it and then switch to the building blocks themselves to delete single blocks of the walls/floors without removing the whole building piece.
Snapping is toggled on and off via 'X'. For the fences (and likely other similar things) it defaults to 'off' and walls, etc. defaults to 'on'.
Hi Kage848, I don't know. Did anybody mention it but you're going to love what's coming soon in your playthrough You're going to have a magical chest that you can put down and pull from them from anywhere in your base so you don't need to gather materials in your inventory. Go craft something. It just pulls directly from those magical chest.😊
You forgot to tell him what n PC that goes with it. I can't remember right now.
TIP: pay attention to the screen - how to do inventory sorting, snapping, and stuff like that is on screen in this game and I think a lot of people fail to see what's right there.

If you hit the jump button when you're Gliding you get a boost Up high, but it costs a 120 Mana.
That's if he unlocks updraft but it's not needed when you get the two end game gliders the extraordinary glider and the one that looks like moth wings they glide forever
You can also place candles on windowsills and decorate the top surface of your storage containers.
When the enemy weapon flashes, thats when your block will trigger the parry.

19:37 You can with what you have, but from what I've guessed from mine, the +X to comfort in the item is more like XP to the Comfort Level of the building/base. I.e. you'll get diminishing returns until you have higher quality furniture/decorations (hint: Carpenter and Hunter NPCs) I have five rugs near my bed and placing the 5th put my comfort level to 12.
As far as Double Jump path. Since I'm highly magic focused with wands and staves, I went the endurance path (since the second node makes you both faster and use less stamina when running)
Carpenter has better wood block options I think so you might not want to use too much wood yet cause you can get most npc summons kinda early on
Start saving your water for when you rescue the alchemist. It'll be cheaper make health potions than bandages. Once you save the farmer, the water will help grow berries and mushrooms AND turn them into health potions! Good Luck!
The Magic wand always good because infinite ammo. When using a magical staff Cost ammo, if you have it on you.
There seems to be staff unlimited ammo you can get, I got an Ice one from a quest, haven't found fire or lightning as of yet though, but I am still in early game.
That reminds me once you level it up. It can be eliminated. By scene it somewhere, I just can't remember.
(tip for people who say you have to have double jump) if there is even a slight angle to what you want to go up, run and spam jump against it and you will jump, glide up, roll then repeat animations to scale what ever it is you need to go up, just by spamming the jump button over and over again. no need for double jump imo.
You can only get the bonus from one of each items in the category, you can read them and they say how much they add. So, if you look a the tables there are several types, you can only have one of each.
U should talk to the Blacksmith about a better shield
Love the base building..you make some awesome bases
Later you can make a secret door floor instead of breaking the floor out =D
I get a 40 min rested buff from decorating a house I claimed as a base and adding high comfort items . If you have all 5 vendors unlocked , go through their offerings and see what you can add to a claimable house to maximize your comfort rating .
When building, if you hit, 'x', to disable the snapping, you get a lot more control over where you place things. if one way is being finicky, try the other.

there is a material for glowing blocks that is kind of cool
Oh yeah. It's easier to hit your targets with the wand if you target them I think it's when you see your highlight of them I think it's pressing Tab will lock
You also get skill points by cutting down the Shroud Roots as well as leveling ,.,. go out and take out a couple of shroud roots ,, there are a few relatively close to your base
The bed does matter as you instantly gain your max rested time upon laying in it.
Also accelerates nighttime passing by 60x, then drops to 1x at sunrise. Not instant sleep-to-morning, but still very effective.
wands are like a 15-20 ft range

For ever shrud core you destroy or location you find or questing all gives decent exp and shroud cores give a skill pointing found one shroud core that's bugged but don't remember where that's bugged that gives skill points everytime you chop it
When you upgrade your storage to magic chest it will pull resources from and box on property
I carry 5 wands and a staff on my guy. 2 fire, 2 ice and the one and only lightning wand i found. Seems that lightning is like neither a weakness or a resistance for any mob. So it's like neutral damage. I wish it would stun or so something cool. The staff i have an eternal ice spell I've been rocking for a long time now. Almost to the point of being able to get all the rest of the eternal spells..... just a little more farming and the laboratory, i think for the alchemist. I've sank 100+ hours already in the game and i think I'm like maybe 3/4 of the way done.
an idea regarding that sheep in the beginning, can't you tab-target something which could make your wand hit better? Not playing the game yet, just think I have seen that somewhere else

Blunt dmg on axe, maybe you're turning it around and bashing them with the butt like a maul.

Id say the alchemist with his laboratory in the basement im building a small village a tavern /farm a forge\bkacksmiths workshop and hause a wood workshop a hunting hut and tailering hut and a lab and a manor with some castle characteristics for me the lord of my humble estate i even have a noble sword
