Everything within the red line that marks your Flame/home territory will not respawn. You have a Flame too close to mining and mob spawning. So, if you want something gone forever, you will do it inside your flame area. Again, clay, rocks, flowers, and all resources respawn, as long as it is out of your "Flame area," which is marked by the red lines. This is the operation that keeps your bases from being deleted every startup. So - If you want it to come back after reloading, ensure the flame is not near what you want to reload. You only need to place one block of Farm Soil, then "spread" it with the rake by stamping it (aka leveling), starting from the center of that single block you place.
Hey Kage! Here's a hint for you...build a workbench for every flame altar that way you have a repair station everywhere you fast travel to. I think healing will stop the poison head thing or maybe when i hit it it's already done lol. Thanks for the great vid!
In part 11 of this series, the laser light coming from the sky you saw is the build area indicator. When using the build hammer or the pickaxe it shows you the border of the build area. Anything you do build or terraforming wise (ie. mining, digging, or chopping down trees) will remain and not respawn within that build area. So any resource farms you want to have, you need to build your alter a little bit away from it.
If you're going to keep going with melee, you might want to consider the Jump Attack (and Jump Attack II) moves. It also has a blast radius/AoE effect for it/when you get surrounded.
I didn't think I was gonna like the q button bow thing. But I use it all the time now. But I totally understand liking using the hotbar. Works really well in this game, too. About the place with all the clay, your flame altar is keeping it from respawning. Anything inside the range of your flame altar will stay how you leave it.
Your clay deposit would respawn if you move your alter further away. Any terrain within the boundaries of your alter will not regenerate. This is why your basement doesnt get filled back in.
This game has a food mechanic that only allows you to heat one of the types of food at a time, you can't stack two fruit types (like Valheim). Those blue flowers you refuse to collect, you need a lot of it , actually, in this game, you will need a lot of everything, once you get to "middle game", even the salt requirements are in the hundreds. Always carry an altar (only 5 stone), when you need to, put it down, travel to your base, empty your inventory, come back to the altar, erase it and you're good to go. Cheers mate.
If you go to where you found the salt and go up the stairs and drop off the side turn left and go down you'll find a small cave with a chest inside that sometimes gives you legendary weapons
I mostly use the wand, but I have the bow on my hotbar and the staff with unlimited spells on the quick select button. I have a bow magic spec because I have always preferred ranged and the wand has homing, so I can jump around like a madman without having to worry about aiming.
Move your Flame altar far enough from the clay so it isn't within the area covered by the altar, the red outline is the boundary, anything within will not respawn. Also you should carry a second melee wpn like a 2handed axe to break open items so you save the durability on your sword.
You can have a bow on your bar that's equipped in the Q slot. Having a bow slotted into the ranged box on the character screen will give you its stats while a bow thats only on the bar won't. On my archer I use it off the bar from range then swap to a melee weapon and use the Q method for the bow once things start to get closer range. Some bows take less or no stam to shoot so having that in Q saves stamina for dodging.
doing that hook w/o the double jump for the hunter traumatized me. I died so many times, I was about to quit before I made it after I told myself one more time lol
for anything to re-spawn, it needs to be outside of any Flame alters you place. you will see the orange square and anything inside of it will not re-spawn. also im not sure if you were collecting them but the blue flowers in the forest are flax which you will need... The cages are a great way for scrap metal..
@kage848 it will respawn, you just have your fire too close to it. So its within your building area, it has to be outside of your building area to respawn it when logging.
Kage, parry is good if u have a skill to instantly kill enemies stunned, i think is merciless something kkkk, in your skill tree, and i one of early skils
I stop watching streamers who progress too quickly - check back and watch after I've progressed past the contents of their episode, if I remember. As others have said, nothing within the bounds of your landclaim (centered on the flame shrine) will respawn.
yeah, 30 min of rush rush rush is not entertaining. vids are too short and you're just running past half the game like you need to pee really bad and you're late for work. think I'll pass on the next one.
The shrine being so close to clay, ore and other stuff will not respawn, you have to keep it out of the building area.
correct. anything in range of your base area doesnt change / respawn
Yes, Exactly that was definitely the issue he was having with the clay
I also leave a workbench just so I can do a quick repair and go straight back to mining.
The clay didnt respawn because your base is too close to it.

if you parry the enemies and step behind them you should be able to get critical backstab damage on them.

you can use the rake to spread your farm soil from one block so you don't need to make a lot

Yes, save furs. Trust me, save everything. Things are used to make things, which in turn are used to make other things you'll need.
Your clay deposit would respawn if you move your alter further away. Any terrain within the boundaries of your alter will not regenerate. This is why your basement doesnt get filled back in.

Hey bud, the bow out ranges the spitting flower thingies, just stay back and plug them with arrows. Cheers.
You can place a work bench next to any flame alter you put down, then you can repair on the fly
Dont make soil, go to the village with the church just NW (Something Homested) and mine the farm soil out.

The Flame prevents respawning.

Charcoal Klin can produce tar, which could be used to make bows and other weapons, thanks for the next part Kage!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉
Kage you missed a hidden door at the bottom of the staircase in the Hidden Tomb. Also, you missed a Sarcophagus. Always open fully-closed Sarcophagus.
doing that hook w/o the double jump for the hunter traumatized me. I died so many times, I was about to quit before I made it after I told myself one more time lol
Magic chests use automatically your crafting stuff and items, no need to transfer them
for anything to re-spawn, it needs to be outside of any Flame alters you place.

also im not sure if you were collecting them but the blue flowers in the forest are flax which you will need...
The cages are a great way for scrap metal..
another great skills to get is Updraft & Airborne. Really helps getting around the map with your Glider
You can have unlimited farm soil if you place a bit down, then use a hoe on it to expand the soil. You can build up the terrain and harvest it
The combat looks very satisfying in this game.
Maybe your flame alter is to close to the clay deposit; enemies can't respawn near them, maybe materials can't either?!? 🤔
Great content! Thank you for consistently putting out vids!
The damage not hurting themselves is the same as your damage not hurting your party members.
All streamers should push for a pause button on games you can play solo.
We need longer episodes ❗️🫡🤦🏻♂️
Definitely love this series bro. Keep up the good content!
If it's inside the perimiter of a flame alter it won't respawn. Outside the perimiter it does :)
everything or every enimy will not respawn while your base alter is there. Move it a bit or farm just outside from it :)
I know you've heard it before, but pressing x to unsnap while building will give you a lot more freedom in placing stuff
@kage848 it will respawn, you just have your fire too close to it. So its within your building area, it has to be outside of your building area to respawn it when logging.
Wait til you find the really big hairy sasquatch.
Don't know if you already know this but if you want resin only chop down Brown trees.
Dude the tower where you got the salt has a hidden room in it, with a chest
Yeah I saw ESO's vid on how easy it is to farm that chest.
You could have the farmer and the Carpenter in the same house and have them has husband and wife
As you get to higher level enemy the urns and pots etc give better loot when destroyed!
For your legendary sword, do you add on the enchantment values on top of the damage to give a total damage value?
You can gather farm soil from the existing farms....
Kage, parry is good if u have a skill to instantly kill enemies stunned, i think is merciless something kkkk, in your skill tree, and i one of early skils
I don’t mind watching the long play through.
I would def use a fully upgraded Epic or Legendary weapon over a common because of the higher crit chance and etc. How is this even debatable?
you need to move your flame alter further away from the stuff you are trying to mine or chop.
Instead of "q" for the bow I mapped it to my thumb button on my mouse
There is so much to do I wouldn't rush it
it won't respwn if you place a flame alter to close to it.
I stop watching streamers who progress too quickly - check back and watch after I've progressed past the contents of their episode, if I remember.
As others have said, nothing within the bounds of your landclaim (centered on the flame shrine) will respawn.
break all pots
Anything you do in the base area stays the same.
Your pace is great. This game is huge and will take a long time. I look forward to more vids.
It wont respond if it is inside your base circle
yeah, 30 min of rush rush rush is not entertaining. vids are too short and you're just running past half the game like you need to pee really bad and you're late for work. think I'll pass on the next one.
