Definitely awesome band 🤘🎸
Just lost boyfriend before Christmas. I'm 73 and this still says it all. ❤️
Dallas TX. Here. I saw them in Dallas in 1983 it was an awesome show.
@@kerrycantwell7737so sorry to hear that

@@kerrycantwell7737 I am very sorry for your loss.
THIS is Def Leppard.
Yes not the new def Leppard with Adrian
Rip Steve Clark
This was before Def Leppard codified their sound, and yet it's still one of their greatest songs. They still play it live!
Still listening on 2024❤
Was 19 in that time

Here's to all of us that are homesick for a place that no longer exists!💜
Amen
Reading that just choked me up.
Why do you say that ?
I hear that!
If you don't know you'll never know.
83'....the year i met, dated, asked for and got the hand of the woman who would be the mother of my 2 boys. 40 years ago and this music still makes me feel the tingle all over of something special happening then and now. We celebrate our 37th anniversary in July and sweet baby Jesus, this band has given us so many memories. They still rock, but what a special time they had as breakout artists. We grew up together and they have no clue who I am. I know they must think of how their music affected so many through the years. Hopefully this tidbit of acknowledgement finds them and let's them know how crucial music like theirs was to young kids like us in those times. At 60 its nice to remember those times , with great fondness because of bands like this.
It's the feeling that we know &love so much😊😊
No better Def Leppard than this album!!!
I meet my wife at the 1983 tour with Def Leppard and still married today with 3 kids, because of the show... they still rock today in 2023!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
🎉💪🇬🇧🤘🍀
That’s a awesome story my brother… that’s the feel good stuff right there… God bless you and your wife 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Right? I may be getting old but I'm not cutting my hair. It's still full and long. Not changing what I've always been. I'm a 60 year old Heavy Metal guy!! 😊 I miss hanging out at a beach parking lot on my Harley Davidson and music blasting from a car stereo. Bon fire 🔥 and beer 🍺

Yes, R.I.P. Steve Clark. Gone too early and very underrated.
Fuck his dad, though. He drank himself to death because his father never accepted him being in a rock band. RIP

Joe Elliot is amazing miss the 80s badly
If I had a time machine I'd go back in time to the 80s.. everytime I'd get close to the 90s back I'd go..........
Just one of so many badass British bands that filled my ears as a teen and will continue until I'm dust! I mean, after the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Iron effing Maiden etc, you might think they were spent, but no, the Brits just kept birthing these epic bands like Def Leppard that know how to fuckin' rock! Bravo, Brits! Absolutely fuckin' Bravo!

You mean Hard Rock and/or Metal or Heavy Metal!
Rock & Roll is Elvis Presley etc...
Better add the 90s to that Metallica, GNR, Alice n chains etc

No one can top the 70s 80s bands like def leppard, AC/DC. Led zeppelin Ozzy and more. This still rocks over the crap on the radio today. No comparison

Vive Le Def Leppard! 🤘🎸
My friends and I didn’t grow up in the 80s. I’m 29 now. But we rocked the music at our parties a lot and it felt epic. And our parents approved lol.
Hey, I’m 63, so I was a kid in the 60’s, teenager in the 70’s, young adult (20’s) in the 80’s, and my 30’s in the 90’s. To be perfectly honest with you, those are probably the best decades for music, movies, pop culture, freedom….you could do what you wanted and just nobody gave it shit.
I highly recommend listening to music from those eras. You’ll see and hear the progress of the music. For example 60’s gave us The Beetles, The Knks, Rolling Stones, and Cream, the first British Invasion (the 2nd happened in the 80’s) and surf music. 70’s brought Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Bread Boston, and Foreigner. The 80’s brought old school hip hop (Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow - check out his 8 million Stories), many of the groups you know. There was all types of music on the charts; Ska, Reggae, synth-pop, acoustical, rock, power ballads. Should check out ABC (Look of Love LP), Haircut 100, Madonna, Madness before “Our House”….”One Step Beyond”, “Welcome to The House of Fun”. Steve Winwood, Robert Palmer, and Robert Plant’s solo material after Led Zeppelin broke up. Also, check out Jennifer Rush. She wasn’t that big here but in the EU she was huge. She’s the co-writer and original singer of “The Power of Love”. Celine Dion did it in 1992. The 90’s, mostly dance music, but fun. C+C Music Factory, Haddaway, Madonna’s “Vogue”.
They were all great eras. If I bored you or put you to sleep, I’m sorry. I just think the 60’s-90’s were filled with great music.
You'd have begged me to turn it down if I was your parent. 😉

Now this is DEF LEPPARD !
Saw them in concert @ Freedom Hall of Johnson City TN May 1983.the same week I graduated from high school... everybody did the PreConcertParty thing one guy in the parking lot his friends left him passed out and hanging out the door still buckled in. We drank Bacardi 151 a pint between my friend and I and we smoked but my friend saw her older sister and when she came back she said she took a hit of @cid but we had to babysit her she climbed the rails of the balcony and we got her down but we had to carry her out she was faded. My only time seeing Def Leppard and I lost my hearing for 2 days I was DEF for sure lol

I keep remembering bald trucker dad's use to be it guys in the 80s/90s
Sometimes he plays like he has one. Then all of a sudden the other arm pops out.
That was before the accident after they recorded Pyromania Rick was on the road and the driver ahead of him ran him off the road and Rick lost his arm

I love Rock because of these guys, they were the first band I seen on MTV, I was 6 years old, then came Bon Jovi, Poison, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, that following year was INXS, I loved Michael Hutchence. Those were the days.
Totally true. Billy Squire and Def Leppard were on Tour back in early 80's.👻
I learned to play the drums to Def Leppard.. 1 of the best drummers ever .. even after his accident ..
Well done Franny brilliant instrument my fave the 🥁 he got better after his accident in 84 took a little while but found it and using his feet and Hysteria coming out in 87
Hell yeah
Did you only need to use 1 arm?
It's sad he lost his arm and the whole story but honestly I think that made him a better drummer. Not just more impressive that he is a drummer with one arm but even now he can still kick ass on stage and out perform almost everyone. That's the impressive part, not the one arm but the one arm AND impeccable performance
Hell yeah!
The only Def Leppard I know and ever cared about 👉💯😎✌️⛎

Never knew that Rick Allen used traditional grip before he lost his arm as it's pretty rare to see in rock music.
