What a Champion miler, 61kgs and last on the turn, little did we know how good his young jockey was going to be, thst was his start to being the best jockey in Australia
You wouldn't find a more honest horse than Super Impose. He not only won good races he also carried big weights, could run pretty much any distance, and he effectively kick started the Freedman family from battlers to the top of racing.
tdunster2011 Agree totally, He was the most versatile horse I've seen, competitive at all distances, beautiful looking fellow and his big Randwick mile wins were extraordinary, as well as his Cox Plate win, phenomenal effort on the tight Moonee Valley track. One of the all time greats in my opinion.
Brilliant win in 1991 with 59.5kg by Super Impose, the 3rd horse Royal Creation was the unlucky runner, getting blocked for a run as Super Impose came charging home. Livistona Lane 2nd over the line but was later disqualified for returning a positive swab. Placings for 1991 were then 1st:Super Impose 2nd:Royal Creation and 3rd Shaftsbury Avenue flashing up on the rails.
Actually you are correct but wrong race, it was the Epsom of 1991 not the Doncaster 1991: RAND 05Oct91 1600m Good3 EPSOM Group 1 $402,170 ($274,170) Darren Beadman 61kg Barrier 8 1:34.70 11-2

Super and Shaftesbury had a great rivalry,Super won the big handicaps but Shaftesbury always had his measure at WFA.
Here cause of sliding doors
+SillyDillyMan1 Yep, so I am
3rd place in the 91 race was really unlucky, Super smashed it as it came out for a run. Mightn't have won but lost it's chance at that stage
Give Winx the same weight for both snd she would win by 7
You have no idea boy
