Another thing, Cleaning out your car is a great way to get ready for summer. And hitting it regularly to prevent the build up from summer activities. And restocking summer bags after outings so you are ready for the next one. I know ours can get messy quickly. That is on a to do list of mine.

I love belt bags.... I rock it like a fanny pack. Started in 2020 before they were cool and now i use it all the time instead of a purse. Hands free which is great. I had a small kiddo when i had started so in that made chasing him around great. Cant leave my purse somewhere accidentally. And it is nice that i cant carry around too much.

Agreed! Any tool that frees up our hands is ADHD-friendly in my book! ;-)

I hate the heat too!!! I am not made for the sun. Summer is my least favorite season. I like the fun but i am not great out in direct sunlight. I have gotten heat sickness and had to see nurse at amusement park. I also get car sick. And packing for vacation is always a stressful dread for me. So I usualy dont look forward to vacations.

Yeah. I am not. Structure person. I have at least one kid that is. Actually probably two. I am a free spirit that likes adventure. But i have a husband that is very much routine and habit based. So navigating my needs for freedom and adventure while balancing house hold needs or expectations and respecting children with different energy and structure needs is a challenge. I know we need days here to rest but i also have some set event days taht things will be happening on a weekly basis. So certain days will be more laid back. Or some children may need to rest while others use their energy. We all need more movement and time outside this year. We have food sensitivities so usualy packing food and having a bag ready to go or in the car with summer items like swim suits, pool floaty, towels water shoes and extra set of clothes per person and a pair of flip flops. We love exloring creeks so having those thinsg and some nets or buckets on hand are a must. And the extra clotehs because we have been covered in mud or water more times then i can count because if there is water. My kids will get soaked. No matter what. And a picnic blanket. Snacks and water are a must so i usualy have a bag with water bottles teady to go and toss ice packs in there before we head out. And always have snacks or pack a lunch. Oh and I try to have sunscreen and bug spray with us always! We always need it. I will keep in my bag of towels and swim stuff. Sometimes I will have extra somewhere in the car that stays.

If we do explore I bring in the wet stuff and put it in the washer right away if I can. Or hang up. And wet water shoes usually go on the porch. It has worked well.

Oh and big ziplocks! the gallon ones come in handy if someone gets car sick. And great for wet clothes. And I have used the big Dollar tree one for water shows or swim stuff before. Or even a garbage bag. Just make sure it gets emptied! I also always put sunscreen and bug spray in a quart zip lock so it won't leak on other stuff. Because they will. The freezer bags are thicker than storage ones. I prefer those.
