Thank you for making my Hummer easy and affordable to work on. Replacing this bushing took less time than it took to roll out my floor jack! Gary of Asheville, N.C.

@@BushingfixFL question! My shifter interlock solenoid failed on my truck. I want to detach the shift cable from the transmission to manually get the truck into drive and get it to a shop. Does the cable just pop off, the reverse of what you did to put it on? I don’t want to break anything unnecessarily.
Mine was difficult to install and what worked for me was pressing the bushing on to the pin and then pushing the linkage on to it then it all snapped together.
Well done! Thank you for sharing your tips and experience!
Gracia era exactamente lo que pasó con el mío iba de salida me reversie conecte la trailer y al querer moverlo ya no dio pa ningún lado.

Mine failed yesterday. The problem is that I didn't first understand the issue. The shifter got locked in park when the tranny was still in drive. Once you shut off the engine, it won't restart and it won't shift. I had to remove the console, stick my hand down to the right of the bottom of the shift (tight fit) and push the silver mushroom shapped release pin to break free the shifter. That got the shifter working, but obviously didn't solve the problem since it was the bushing failure. Almost called the tow truck and went home. Looked it up and started to re-analyze the problem. Went back to the truck and got under. viola! Put it back in place manually to get home and now waiting on the mail for the bushing to fix permanently. In mean time.....duck tape.
+elvislives81677 the repair with the new bushing is much easier than what you've had to do thus far! Good job figuring it all out I must say taking the console out is not a ton of fun. Let us know if you have any questions when your part arrives.

What part number is this ? I see different ones for the h2
Kits may vary by year. What is year of your H2? and are you replacing bushing at shifter or tranny end of cable?
@@BushingfixFL it’s a 2006 & for the end by the trans
So does your guys bushing actually last? Mine broke on my H2, took it to Midas and had it fixed only for it to break again two days later. Got it fixed again but I don’t even trust driving the car now
Yes ours does work. We also offer a Lifetime warranty so if you have an issue we will replace the part. Its very simple to do yourself. Also, you want to check the pin the cable fits onto to ensure its not rusted because that will destroy a bushing. The shift arm can also be replaced without too mush difficulty.
@@BushingfixFL ok thank you. I’m gonna give it shot
