Yeh i've had the gigamax centerpede natural spawn in the middle of a lake, as well as in a red beam on the ditto den. Although i wasnt able to catch it as i didn't realize you could turn off after failing to catch them, or that they weren't guaranteed catches.

@@justajely7372 the shadow when you enter the den will tell you what it is some are hard to tell from there regular forms.
Tho alcreamie looks very diffrent just look at the shadow in sode the set up of a raid mainly just keep grinding the den tell one spawns. Having another gmax den active may stop another spawn as well.
I never enter a charizard raid battle successfully.

Pro tip to anyone soft resetting raids for purple beams:
Set your text speed to Slow or Normal, it gives you a bigger window to see the beam and press the home button to soft reset

It’s not in the game yet, but you only can find it in the codes
Actually the only reason why people turn off autosave is so that if they failed to capture the gigantamaxx Pokemon they can just retry by reloading their hard save
That’s not the only way to get a gigamax charizard. If you go back to your home town and enter Hop’s house and go to Leon’s room, a charmander is there that had Gigamax.

I got my first Gigantamax pokemon yesterday, I was just trying to get some xp and I went to a max raid battle and i didn't even notice that it was a gigantamax until the second turn(the pokemon was a sandaconda)

It actually doesn’t have to be a purple beam both of my gmax Pokémon were regular red beams. Purple beams are the golden aura equivalent for raids
Were those natural reds? Purple is from wishing pieces
I too had something similar where I got a 2 star Gmax Butterfree
Verlisify they were natural reds, and purples can show up without wishing pieces

I haven't found any Gigantamax Pokémon yet, but I did find 2 Duraludon in the open and found a Stonjourner in the G-Max Coalossal den. I found that very productive.

I got Gigantamax Charizard without den hunting. You can get it if u go to Hop's house and pick up the pokeball in Leon's room, and leveling up Charmander to Charizard. That's the easier way.

I got a G-Max Butterfree with 5 max IV (HP: Very Good). I bred it into a 5 max IV (Attack: Pretty good) Caterpie, but it didn't retain the G-Max.
Given that G-Max moves are stronger, which one of these two pokémon will be better competively? Considering more HP is better than physical attak on a Butterfree (if I'm not mistaken)

Yes, and even then its only a 5% chance to get a gigantamax, as far as i know. But it seems, you can get event Gigantamax Pokemon from red Beams also, like Butterfree right know.
So, I'm a breeder, the best and worst thing at the same time in the wild area is the day care. I just signed up for Nintendo online and cant use it in that area, because everyone is going to do their breeding there. You should definitely do a video on that

Quick tip: (it's happening to me, atleast) encounter/capture [alcremie for example] and encounter said gigantamax more often, even out of their normal dens

The purple beam doesn't guarantee a gmax Pokemon and I found more gmax Pokemon under a regular red beam so the "soft" reset doesn't help you.
Hey all, to anyone playing sword and is wanting that corviknight keep at it i started at 70k watts and ended on almost 500k, it will come with patience !
U can also get a charmander that can gigantimax once it evolves into charizard from hop’s house if u go in Leon’s room

I got G-max Corvoknight and Butterfree back to back in the red beam. Have been farming for Drednaw and Centiscrotch a lot to no avail.

I just found Orbeetle gigantamax, Copperajah.
I've soft reset when i fail to capture pokemon. I turned off auto save just incase. That's all i found it useful for.
To find g max pokemon I threw in a wishing piece and did the soft reset method until a purple den, then I would do the method to reroll the pokemon until the g max I wanted
So i just unlock the judge feature using the battle tips you gave and it turns out my first dynomax ditto i caught was a 5 Best iv for ecerything but hp
THE GMAX APPLETUN/FLAPPLE DEN IS THE ONE ON THE RIGHT. I spent an hour trynna get it

You can get g-max snorlax !!! Lake of outrage, red den just randomly came across it while pokemon hunting
Purple beams DO NOT mean Gigantmax, they are Indicators of yellow aura pokemon like the ones you find in the wild area overworld.
