Acura really missed an opportunity here to take an accord coupe and stuff SHAWD in there. Rear passenger row barely has any room anyway, so there shouldn't have been an issue creating a transmission tunnel in the packaging. Other than that, super sick and clean build. Loving the headlight swap.
@@colin55594 Accord coupe is 3400 pounds. Add in additional SHAWD components about 2-300 pounds. That's about the same or less than a 335i with and without xdrive (3700/3500). Your car is not exactly lightweight either lol.
Agreed, I think that if Acura made a v6 coupe with SH-AWD and a manual it would have been amazing, I am honestly surprised that they haven't put a coupe into their lineup given that Acura is supposed to be the "sporty" version of Honda. Now that every manufacturer is going turbo its very unlikely that we will ever see another NA J series produced by Acura/Honda. I think the closest thing that Acura has made to the 6-6 accord is probably the 4G TL, it came with SH-AWD and a manual version with just a little 300hp (Crank), only downside was that it was a sedan and not a coupe.

The 300 pound difference is accounted for in the v6 turbo and AWD components. The size of the new TLX is about the same as the 5-series, but yeah new model BMW's are lighter weight than past generations. Honda/Acura is behind with the use of lightweight materials.

So every J35Y and K24W needs custom fabrication for turbos. The only diff on a cvt is you can’t turn the boost up as high, and MT would require a clutchmasters upgrade anyway

He upgraded his clutch. Look at transmission coolers since you have the auto
